  1. Great video. Really shows he's a reallly smart player who isn't afraid to get dirty too. He's going to replace one of our two great but aging safeties pretty soon — for economic reasons — but should do a capable job.

  2. Nick Chubb is one of the top two or three rushers in the league — and with far fewer attempts than Henry or Barkley and even Jacobs. Yesterday we held him to 19 yards on the day.

    19 yards.

We were all afraid of Chubb and the Bills D totally held him in check. So, missing two pro bowl defensive backs Frasier and the D decided to let Brissett pass the ball — and try to beat us that way. He could not.

As good as Brissett was (I'd love to see him back up Allen), the Bills were in control of the game the entire second half.

The D did its job yesterday. With Poyer back in the lineup I expect the secondary to do its job for the remainder of the season. We don't have the veterans to lock down both the opponents run and pass game every game but our D will be good enough to win if the offense limits turnovers.

  3. This is completely asinine.

The original poster is questioning the validity of Sean McDermott as a head coach as McDermott has been a head coach for five complete years without a Super Bowl championship.

Did you bother to look up that it took Andy Reid 20 years as a head coach to win a championship as a head coach? According to your "facts" and implications that if a coach hasn't won it all in a handful of years that he's not good enough, Reid should have never gotten the gig as KC's head coach. Right? That's a fact that he went far over a decade without a championship so KC was foolish to hire him, right?

I don't know if McDermott is the right coach for the bills (I suspect he's pretty darn good) but your argument is far beyond flawed. There are 32 teams in the league; with parity, it will take each and every team to 32 years to win one championship... But you're suggesting if a coach hasn't won it all in a half decade he should be highly suspect as incapable of ever doing so.

Please tell me you're not a math teacher or philosophy professor.

  4. Benford is a huge positive. Has he been perfect? No, but he held his own against veteran receivers and has helped an injury-ravaged team win games. Early on, I was almost thinking of getting his jersey as he is the epitome of the underdog: a 6th rounder pick starting over a first rounder. I hope he continues to improve and carve out a very good career as a long-term starter.

He’s still resting comfortably in his pile of money.  We sure would hate to inconvenience him by doing his job while he’s not on the injury report or IR…

If that's the case, I hope his bad leg is elevated properly on a stack of Benjamins.

Yeah this idea that he is somehow going to play slot-WR is half baked to me.

He is 5'9" and not very fast.

    He doesn't play like a 4.38 WR.

He plays like a small 4.50 running back catching dump off passes and getting tackled after 7-yards.

If you don't believe your own eyes when it comes to Hines, do you believe Allen's and Digg's? When they first saw Hines run in practice they turned to each other and commented on how fast he was.

Why would watching a game live from the sidelines help him more than watching all-22 game footage of his own play?

Have people on this board never seen a QB go through a slump and play their way out of it? It happened to Allen himself last year a couple of times. 20 years we waited for a franchise QB, one bad game and a bunch of fans are coming up with panicky solutions.

A bunch of players were talking about how Josh is "coaching" everyone from the sideline. McKenzie said that Josh was watching him and said, "I didn't realize you ran that route like that."

That's a small thing but proof that Josh can learn some things from the sideline.

Am I saying it's going to lead to some major epiphanies? No. But it's possible to discover some things — or perhaps relearn some old perspectives that may have slipped a bit — from the sideline.

  8. Injuries in and of themselves are never good. But I believe Josh sitting on the sideline and watching the game and reflecting about his recent struggles may lead to a wiser Josh when he returns.  Sometimes when things are going bad a break and some time off are a  good thing.

  9. "

Packers fans may be familiar with one of the more well-known incidents. It took place in January 2017 in the days leading up to the Packers playoff game with the New York Giants at Lambeau Field. Beckham and some teammates took a trip down to Miami and were photographed on a boat during a day off from practice.

Yes, it was a day off, but it certainly didn’t look like Beckham was concentrating on the game plan for the upcoming playoff game. Beckham didn’t play well in the game, catching only four passes on 11 targets for 28 yards. The Packers won the game 38-13 and the fallout from the Beckham photograph and trip was clearly a distraction for the Giants in the days leading up to the game."

Yikes, the Buffalo fanbase — and the supposedly mighty Von Miller — have been hoping to acquire a player who GOT ON A BOAT DURING A PRACTICE OFF-DAY? What the hell are we all thinking!?
