This just seems like an excuse to act dumb. I consider myself a "hardcore" Bills fan. I devote too much time to this team by normal standards and think I know more than your average fan. Doesn't mean I should lose all rationality during the game.

It doesn't matter what you think.  Each fan has the right to criticize anything they want in whatever way they want.  Who cares if they lose rationality? They aren't playing or coaching.  It is basically sports radio in real time.

Fanatic doesn't mean to be knee jerk every time something doesn't go their way.

That is what people are doing in their living rooms.  Owners, players, and coaches all know it comes with the territory.  The time to worry is when the fans don't care enough to get really upset or excited.  That is what the Bills used to be.

Lamar wants #1 QB pay. Ravens want to pay him #2-#5

Lamar is one ugly play from $0. Ravens do have a top 5-10 ranked QB, today, 2022.

Maybe if Lamar had an agent, he'd be further along (after all, that is why they get paid)

Amen. Get an agent Lamar.    He is 1-3 in the playoffs and at times looks terrible.  Nobody is ever go to really consider him the #1 QB in the league. He isn't even top 5.  The Ravens offer was a really good offer for a guy with his record in the playoffs.

i won't do the game threads anymore for just that reason.  you'll never see a more hardcore, microanalysis followed by insane reactions.  people want the entire staff fired in the first half, and the same posters are talking about attending a super bowl parade after the game.

It is called being a fan aka fanatic.  They make up the die-hards of any fanbase.  Without them there wouldn't be any professional sports.  And those threads are just microcosms of what is going on in people's living rooms all over the country.  Human nature.

    How about this nugget too?!

"This [Bills] offense can do anything at any time, and it does it all at a high level. This isn’t just the best offense in the NFL today. It’s one of the most comprehensive attacks this league has ever seen"

Great offense, but we have scored 19, 23, and 24 points in 3 of our last 4 games.  Nothing to get too excited about.

  6. Punters and kickers are getting ridiculously good.  I read how this is the Bonds/McGuire/Sosa error for punters and kickers.  I wouldn't be shocked if something "unusual" was going on.  Way too many guys hitting 60+ yard field goals that would be good from 70 and punters kicking a little too long.   I always wondered if our former ethically challenged punter was getting some additional help from somewhere.

I don’t know why everyone loves to trash Lamar. He is a different type of qb for sure but besides Andrews, they are exactly loaded with offensive talent. It blows my mind they have never tried a Diggs type move to get him a true 1. And on top of things, their D sucks this year.

People don't trash Lamar, they just laugh when people put him in the elite category with Mahomes and Allen because he won an MVP.  You don't need to be an NFL scout to see Lamar is a 2nd tier quarterback who has passing limitations that are masked by his ability to run.  He should be paid, but teams realize he is not going to win a Super Bowl because the AFC playoffs are going to be loaded with real passers like Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, and Burrow. You can't win playoffs games with the type of QB like Lamar.  The defenses get too fast.  You have to be able to really throw the ball.

I don't believe in "momentum" in sports.  That's not a real thing.

Player psychology is a real thing, though, and this drive was huge at the time at keeping our confidence high, so in that sense, it was important.

I also would NOT call it a "turning point."

Momentum is a very real thing.  The University of Wisconsin used machine learning to prove it, although we already knew it was real.

  9.

The addition of Miller is huge.  The loss of Hill is just as huge, even if they say it isn't.    I wasn't even worried at the end of the game yesterday. I wasn't sure if Miller would make a play, but I knew Tyreek wouldn't.  That guy terrified me.  No other talent like him in the NFL.

  10. All these stats and ranking are nice, but the most important thing the Bills have learned through the first 6 games is how to win close games.  Stats are meaningless in the post-season.  Learning how to win close games is everything.  Ravens and Chiefs wins following the Dolphins loss showed this team is built to win it all, mentally.  We already knew they had the physical talent.

Still waiting for a signature win.

The only signature win when you have the best roster in football is the Super Bowl.  After 6 games we know 1 thing, the Bills are the best team in the NFL.  Anything less than a world championship will be a huge failure.

This franchise got blessed with McD and Beane

Safe to say the best HC/GM duo in the game at this point

The way they built this team and culture is nothing short of masterful

You can't be the best HC/GM duo if you haven't even made it the Super Bowl, let alone with the Super Bowl.  That title is reserved for guys who have won a championship.
