would be absolutely crazy for an owner or GM to decide another year or two as OC could serve him well. I know, I know, insane that someone might possibly hold it as a strike against a really aggressive declaration of making the guy a HC after 1 year as OC

Owners don't think like that.  Owners are more worried someone else will sign him first. Denver can't just sit around and say he needs another year or two because if they do a team like Carolina could come in and grab him.  Owners like smart, young, offensive minded coaches. Just 1 year as OC of the Bills means nothing, as long as they like him.  It is just like an elite player coming out of the draft early.  GM's can't just say he could use another year or two in school, because somebody else will take a chance.

Any ideas? Who do you think makes more? Just wondering.....

McDermott is believed to be making $8M a year.  GM's traditionally don't make NFL Coach money.  I heard on a radio show as a general rule of thumb the GM is about half of what a coach makes.  They also said all the click bait sites claiming to know what coaches and GM makes are hilariously wrong.

It's not desperate, they're actually saying GB is as good as the Chiefs. We were favored by 2.5 at Arrowhead, would've been 5.5 at a neutral site and 8.5 at Buffalo.

That is not what they are saying.  By that reasoning we would only be a 2.5 point favorite at Green Bay.  Vegas does not set lines that way.  The 3 point home field stuff is nonsense.  This former Caesar's Palace guy explained it perfectly.    They use a baseline power number for each time (Science) and then they use their experience and feel to adjust it a little if needed (Art).

I don't see the Jets having double digit wins. Wilson is my concern, he's not showing me any progress and he should have had two picks last game. We are winning in spite of him.

The NFL is so weak.  The Jets are clearly a top 10 team now.

They are a .500 team.  Same New England

    It's us and Miami

Math is obviously not your strong point.  This is the NFL. There are no excuses.  Jets are 4-2. Period. That is .667, not .500.  Second best record in AFC.  They are #7 in the Pro Football Talk power rankings. #7 in the NFL.  Quite a few people have them in the tier right below the Eagles, Bills, and Chiefs.

Funny to see Ravens and Eagles top 3 in both. According to many here Lamar Jackson sucks.

It is the offensive DVOA and offensive SRS keeping the Ravens in the top 3 of both lists.

Or he is just not an elite quarterback, which is what everyone here is saying.  "Sucks" appears to be your words. He is on a 3-3 team and has a 1-3 playoff record. The goal of the NFL is to win games and win championships. It isn't to have the best "analytics" or whatever garbage is being pushed as an indicator of how good a team is.  99% of people who watch football regularly know the Bills are the best team in the NFL and the Chiefs are the second best team in the NFL. They don't need some analytics to tell them.  Same goes for Lamar Jackson. 99% of people who watch football know he is a great athlete with limitations as a QB.  We don't need analytics to tell us that.

Who fills in for the Chiefs end of the equation though?

Nobody. Problem with flexing the Bills games is the games have the potential to be blowouts by half-time.   Only games that can be moved are Dolphins and Pats in week 18.  Doubtful either game gets moved unless in week 18 the Pats are fighting for playoff spot or if the Dolphins reemerge with Tua.

We will see in 3 weeks how good they are.

I expect a tough game, where we pull away in the 2nd half.  They are a very sound football team. If we bring our B game, we could lose.

Without question?  They beat the Browns by 1 point in a miracle game where it only happened because Chubb wants to pad his stats more than he wants wins.  They beat a terrible Steelers team when they benched Trubisky at the half on the last play of the game. They beat a Dolphins team playing their 3rd string rookie in his first NFL game with no game prep and they beat a GB team that looks decidedly average at best.  That was their best win.

I'm not sure how that gets them to 5th best team in the AFC.  Or maybe that just says how bad the AFC is compared to what we thought it would be.

One, they are 4-2.  The second best record in the Conference. Two, they just went on the road and beat the Packers, soundly.  Three, they have a ton of young talent on their team.  Four, young rosters like theirs just get better and better each week.

I will bet anyone on this forum any amount of money that the Jets will not make the playoffs.

Jets are going to make the playoffs.  They are without question the 3rd, 4th or 5th best team in the AFC.  There is a big drop off after the Bills and Chiefs, but there is a good argument the Jets are the 3rd best team in the AFC.

Not trolling at all. And I gave all the reasons why. Talent wise they matchup just as good as Buffalo and better in some areas.

The difference between Allen and Hurts is enormous.  The difference between Allen and Mahomes and every other QB in the league is enormous, which is why one of their teams is going to win the Super Bowl.   The Eagles defense gave up 315 yards of offense to the Cooper Rush led Cowboys.  They couldn't even put 300 yards of offense the other night against the Cowboys.

Honestly, I don't even see the Eagles getting to the Super Bowl.  They are a very good team that will beat average and bad NFL teams, which appears to be the entire NFC.  My guess is someone like the Niners or Bucs will get healthy and hot at the right time and knock the Eagles out.  I wouldn't even be surprised if the Cowboys knock them out of the playoffs.

I dunno but speaking of extensions, I can't decide if I'd rather see the Bills extend Poyer or Edmunds assuming there's no way to keep them both.   Poyer is an easy pick for what he's bringing to the team right now but he's got 7 years on Edmunds.   Tremaine started off the season great but he was pretty quiet against KC.  I only heard his name once during that game and that was Tony Romo simply mentioning that he was on the field.

He led our team in tackles this week.

  13. The Bills are going to go 5-1 in the Division.  They aren't losing to any of these teams, but the Jets and Pats will not go down easily.  I think the Jets or the Pats make the playoffs, but not both.  My money is on the Jets going 11-6.  I see them losing to the Bills 2x, the Vikings, and the Jaguars or Pats.  The Jets and the Jaguars are going to be very tough down the stretch.

Getting the #1 seed is huge for Buffalo.  We really don't want to have to play a team like the Jets or Jaguars, then the Bengals or Chargers, before having to head to Kansas City. Teams like the Jets and Jaguars can beat you up pretty good.

He has a long way to go before he’s a HC

his resume is small and he was fired as a QB coach in 18

    he has josh Allen

and I do think he’s been really good but it’s wayyyy too quick to say he’s gonna be a HC soon

He will be a head coach next year, especially if we win the Super Bowl.  That is the way the league works.  My guess is he will be heading to Carolina, but I would not count out Denver.
