Don’t like to repeat posts but the fact that every defensive penalty is an automatic new set of downs is outrageous.

Should be loss of a down for the offense if they commit penalty. Not the same standard at all. Slap on the wrist for offense, lashings for defense.

Reverting back to the way penalties used to be imo

    would be best

The one penalty on defense that definitely needs to be eliminated is calling Offside. The D used to be able to jump back onsides, unless contact was made.

Tonight's game is the best game of the weekend on paper.... considering the bills and playoffs and match ups what's better?

Ravens win....they challenge for the AFC North and drops the Steelers down to the wildcards who the bills could potentially be a first round opponent (if the bills don't get the bye). Steelers look fake to me, but if the bills don't get the bye the Ravens could be a second round matchup vs the Bills but most likely in Buffalo.

Chargers win.... They keep a bit of heat on the chiefs for the AFC West just to keep them honest, maybe stealing it if things breakdown right, if the bills don't get the bye  this would almost assure the 7 seed be Denver, (which doesn't scare me look at their schedule it's a joke), or maybe if Denver fell apart Miami sneaks in lol. Leading to a first round match of Ravens vs Steelers, in Pittsburgh, where Pittsburgh can clip them and end up being the bills second round opponent.... If the bills don't get the bye

    Thoughts?

    Thoughts ( a few)...

    A) I really hate when fans B word about opponents' schedules. We all know the NFL's system, which is pretty good IMHO. Schedules rotate, & it's luck of the draw. The Broncos are taking advantage of it, they are improved.

    B) Don't be concerned with playing the Ratbirds in the playoffs. They might win one game, but they aren't strong enough on D to be taken seriously.

    C) Chargers- could be dangerous, but unproven. Great coach. Might sneak into my "D" category below. Let's see if they can score points tonight against a horrible defensive team.

    D) KC, Buffalo, & Pittsburgh are the only real contenders in the AFC. Yep, Pittsburgh lol. They play D, & have a decent coach. They're overdue ( I hate em) for playoff success.

Saying all that, of course the injury bug could effect any team. Look at SF yesterday.

Yep, Miami is due to beat the Bills at some point in the near future and another team I'd hate to play for a different reason is Cincinnati.  So I hope both the Bengals and Fins are eliminated.  They should be.  I know if the Bills were sitting there with 6 or 7 losses right now, there's no way I would expect them to make it in.  I don't care what the schedule looks like.

It's weird Bills mafia fears Cincy now. They stink on D, despite a great QB/WR combo. They won't get in in 2024.

I would like the Bills chances at home in the cold, wind, and possibly snow against the Chargers and Texans. Teams like the Chiefs, Ravens, and Steelers could handle playing in that weather more so than the Chargers and Texans.

Texans will be one & done no matter who they play.

The Chargers are kind of scary. I wouldn't be shocked if they made it to the AFC Title game.

This is my prediction which I think is where they actually seed now...

    1.) Chiefs

    2.) Bills

    3.) Steelers

    4.) Texans

    5.) Ravens

    6.) Chargers

    7.) Broncos

    Probably something like that.

Notice 5 of the 7 are pretty strong defensively ( Houston is more of an " outscore you" team IMHO, the Ratbirds shockingly stink on D).

I have a feeling the Chargers move up. They've bought in to Harbaugh ( the cheater) and could be a real tough-out for any team.

It will be interesting to see how TThe Chiefs' O performs against us.

I expect the Bills to win it, because

    A) KC has been living dangerously and they're due to lose

    B) its a regular season game, the Bills will have more motivation, trying for home field & the #1 seed

I don't want to see 'em in the playoffs again. They have our number

KC, 9ers and Rams are all going to be super tough. The Texans was a winnable game. Ravens on the other hand....yikes.

Cardinals are no.1 in the NFC west and we beat them

The 49ers might be ok now with CMC back, if he remains healthy. Very mediocre before yesterday, and barely beat TBay.

I think these Josh Allen Bills teams end up winning more Division titles than the Jim Kelly Bills teams did which is really awesome

The big question is can we build it up to get to the point where we are going to(and hopefully winning🤞) Super Bowls

Very possible. Josh doesn't point fingers at his teammates like Kelly did.

Speaking of Jerry—- could he fire his coach?

Possibly, but that would be stupid IMHO.

I thought Woody Johnson had that locked up?

Haslam is certainly a "top 3 buffoon."

He made the Manziel pick, made the Watson signing. Yikes.

  10. Doesn't matter really.

I look at it this way- we all thought having KC at home in the playoffs would turn things in our favor last season. It didn't.

So the Bills are going to (most likely) have to beat a combo of KC, Houston, Ratbirds, Steelers and potentially some unknown out of Denver, Indy, LA Chargers in the playoffs. Yes, securing at least one home game is vital, but in the end, it's all about how they play on that particular day. That's how I see it.

The Bills are certainly good enough to beat those above teams, but they've taught us they also aren't. Scoring 10 points against an anemic Baltimore defense still irritates me. Call me confused lol.
