Why? Since the switch to Brady, we lost to the Eagles on the road and very easily could've lost to the Chiefs on the road. We blew out the Cowboys and Jets at home. I think getting a home game would be great.
Also, historically, is there any easy way to look up all Super Bowl champions that had to play 3 conference playoff games? If we compare:
(1) Those that had to play all 3 conference games on the road to
(2) Those that started their playoff run at home
#2 will be multiple times more numerous than #1. Has there ever even been a Super Bowl champ that won three conference road games? I think maybe one of the Eli Manning teams did it?
Patriots did it in 1986. I think the Steelers & Cardinals in 2009.

A lot of that is just his athleticism and the fear he brings. There is nothing wrong with that as he is an amazing athlete, but if he was forced to pass from the pocket against a good D he aint going to get the job done. Dude has always had good defense, good oline, good running game (including his own), a great TE. My only critique is that he is not a good pocket passer. He holds the ball forever half the time unless its busted coverage somewhere.
He's not an elite pocket passer, yes. But look at tonight....first half he made quite a few plays from the pocket.

Every year I get told how improved Lamar is as a passer. This year it was the "they got weapons now and a new OC and he's improved." Every time I watch it's the same Lamar. Every year he is a bottom stat passer.
He doesn't throw as often as the top QBs. When he does, 66% completion, which ranks among the best.
Obviously, he's best in space or when the play breaks down. A defensive coordinator's nightmare, like JA.

Collinsworth says that Lamar Jackson cannot be defended and that Trevor Lawrence is "the chosen one."
I think all these announcers are told to hype everybody up, especially on the contenders. It gets annoying.

It’s hyperbole at this point
Not sure what this means but whatevs.
Did you disagree with what I said?Yes...hey I hate the Ratbirds but Lamar is a stud. You can't deny he's improved this year.
Lawrence, for a 3rd year guy he's making strides. Not "elite" but certainly a top 10 QB

Ok,,, fair enough … the 4 way tie break would be interesting…I agree it’s unlikely … but still possible … was all I was trying to say,.,hence why I want the Chiefs to beat the Bengals in Week 17 so it won’t matter …. Although admittedly the Dolphins winning the next two probably won’t happen either
I suppose there's a slim chance that Miami could lose out & miss the playoffs entirely. Not likely, but possible with their schedule.

If the Bills can't get into the playoffs then I'm going to be pulling for Detroit all the way and hope they can get to the super bowl and win. No, I can't see it happening but it's what I'd love to see. A

A bit of a hyperbole? A mile? There are NFL players that think Allen is better than Mahomes. Those who play the game not just fans.
At their best, IMO, Allen is a step above Mahomes. Even some of Allen’s haters have agreed.
I don't see many Allen haters at all....where are they? JA is a good story, but c'mon take the blinders off for a minute and try to be objective.
All the NFL QBs get scrutinized to death, fairly or unfairly. If JA was on Dallas, yeah he'd most likely be much more hyped.
Mahomes is simply on another level, although this season KC has come back to earth a bit. We all talk about the 13 seconds thing, but honestly, what other QB in the NFL would have made those two throws to set up that FG?

I will take Allen over Mahomes anyday! Mahomes doesn’t know adversity and never will. When it gets tough he will fold. As we are seeing
His WR group might be the worst of any contending team.
I get it, we hate Mahomes, mainly because the Bills haven't got him in the playoffs. But c'mon man, he's the best QB in the NFL by a mile.

One of the more cowardly punts ever. Steelers fans are about done with Tomlin.
Steelers "fans" are only fans when they win. Biggest bandwagonners on the planet.

Reaching is stupid? Or losing the ball while reaching is stupid? Most players that h.ave the ball near the end zone reach Most players that approach first down markers reach for the first down markers. Most players are stupid.
This is what I'm referring to.
High risk, high rewards I suppose. Jumping and reaching on the goal line, whether by the QB or RB is playing with fire. If the ball squirts out of the end zone, well I have no problem rewarding the defense with a turnover.

15 minutes ago, NewEra said:
In many cases the defense doesn’t always force the fumble. Players also lose the ball while reaching.
and has many others have noted- most notably the NFL, the rule is stupid and likely in need of a change
Put those two sentences together....."Players also lose the ball while reaching is stupid."
Don't defend stupidity. Ball security is truly important as we know.

Can you stand it when a player reaches for a 1st down marker midfield on 3rd down? Should the defense be rewarded with the ball if it’s fumbled OOB there too? It’s a risky play at midfield too….. so why reward the O for a risky play?
again- can someone answer this: Why reward the defense for doing NOTHING? The offense can still have a negative consequence for the risky play….. and not lose possession while rewarding the D for nothing. The punishment just doesn’t fit the crime
And it’ll likely be changed because it doesn’t make perfect sense.
The defense forced a fumble, or the defense took advantage of an offensive player's butterfingers. The defense ultimately needs to defend the goal line, so there's that.
Defense matters. There's already enough rules favoring the offense, as many others have noted.

Allowing them to keep the ball is unfairly gifting the Offense even though they screwed up.
Lesson here ... Don't fumble the ball near the end zone or pay the price.
Yes, this right here!!!
I absolutely can't stand it when a player reaches for that pylon/endline in traffic. The player is asking for trouble....so why reward a risky play?

Hard for the NCF West as Brazil is either four or five hours ahead of them, depending on time of the season.
Yeah, I'm just thinking "marketability." I don't know if a Falcons-Titans game would excite Brazil, for example lol.

NFC gets the 9 home games next year, so the top candidates could be Dallas & the 49ers

Fraud(ish). Hmm.
Handed the 49ers their 1st loss.
Beat the Ratbirds in Baltimore.
7-3 in the AFC.
Yeah, they're banged up but you gotta give credit where credit is due. They showed a graphic yesterday that 26% of their opening day squad is on IR. That's one tough, resilient team.
