  1. This would be an awesome thing to have a Buffalo boy win this contest. So I am asking all the members of the stadium wall to go to the following link and vote for Gino. You are allowed 1 vote per day.

    Thanks!

    Here's the link!

It is funny. Regarding the one vote per day thing, as a dedicated Vote for Rory follower, you just need to delete the cookie from NFL and you can vote again. Easy in Firefox if you have a cookie extension, not sure how to do it in IE

  2. From Hockey Future board - WE NEED YOUR HELP

For those who don't know, the NHL has opened up fan voting for the all-star game this year, and we want to mobilize a huge effort to get a certain Rory Fitzpatrick into the game. Rory's grit, determination, and career -50 rating are a benchmark that all young hockey players should strive for.

The easiest way to do this is to open it up in a tab or something, fill out the ballot, hit back, hit F5, and then re-enter the security word and keep going with it. You should also mix up which Western conference dmen you vote for, and try not to vote for Lidstrom, Niedermayer, or Pronger - they'll have enough votes and only 2 dmen can make it in. Some popular choices to vote for are Liles, Hannan, and Ohlund, but we really need to mix it up.

    voteforrory.com - spread the word.

What started as a bizarre idea that someone started at 2 AM last night has turned into about 15 pages on HFBoards, a wikipedia entry, a facebook and myspace group, and probably half of the seperate NHL boards are on board with this idea.

With your help, we can achieve the most amazing thing in the entire world...Rory Fitzpatrick taking the ice for the Western Conference in the 2007 All-Star game.

  3. you are correct sir, i'm hoping what this means is that Pennington was the one that looked really good against williams.  we already know peters looks good, it would be great if his young RT counterpart turned into an excellent player also.

well I know for sure that Williams lined up against Peters at least 5 times as I was watching for that matchup. Peters took care of him each time. So, you are right, the remaining times were against Pennington who also handled him.

  4. was at the game yesterday, behind (and wayyyyyy above) the Bills bench. Two things - one, all the posts I read all year about how JP is always alone on the sideline - well I watched yesterday and he was always with Evans/Price or Fairchild, and you could see that he was finally sick and tired of the team and himself NOT making plays. He hung in there on several balls (Evans long TD) and took a shot but put it perfectly out there. Great to see. One of the most exciting Bills games in years (with a good outcome)

Also - Peters at LT - oh my god he is fast, looks huge and just smoothers whoever is coming.....I mean Mario Williams never had a chance....he's good.....scary good to steal a phrase!

  5. If anyone gets this far they must be pretty into guitars....I just have a question. Last year we got my 13 yr old son an acoustic guitar and now this year he wants an electric. Although I am (was) quite good on air guitar, I know nothing of electric guitars. He's done pretty good, he loves to play took a few lessons.. Suggestions on what to look for how much to spend...ebay? Thanks all

  6. He is from down here outside of Houston and went to the same high school that my daughter just graduated from. He is like a legand at the school. And more importantly it sounds like his education extended beyond math and english. Good for him.

  7. Only 2 teams have ever come back from an 0-3 deficit and I believe neither of them won game 3, which most say is the pivotal game of any 7-game series.

Yes but it would be difficult if not impossible to win game 3 and be down 3-0. If I'm doing my math right that is :D

  8. Well, my compaq deskpro gets a little pissed at me when I have more than two open.  During football season, I'll usually have nfl.com and both my fantasy sites open and it sucks a giant wanker.

I have checked out nfl.com and espn.com and they have similar one round per page set up.  While Si.com has a couple other options and a scroll across the bottom.
