The GOAT should just go out to pasture and enjoy his retirement...

I think Al Michaels needs to retire.
I think he's bored with the quality of the games he's calling.

Couldn't sleep last night and re-watched the Packers-Commanders game on the NFL Network.
Green Bay's defense surprised me. They're pretty stout, with mistakes being the big problem. Very good on two downs and then a cluckup or penalty on third down letting drives continue. If they can eliminate the mistakes, they can present some problems. They're #8 in total yards allowed, #2 in passing yards against.
On offense, it was clear that Rogers has no confidence in his WRs, who can't get much separation. Same with standing in the pocket. The ball was out a lot faster than I can remember from him, mostly dump offs and short tosses.
I think this game will be closer than many think. I fully expect the Bills to wear them down with their overall talent superiority. But I don't think it will be a laugher like Pittsburgh. GB's season is on the line and a wounded, prideful opponent is always dangerous.

but I personally think that’s a huge mistake, especially in light of what Tennessee just showed is possible.

For those of us without a subscription, can you please give us the Cliff Notes? I just saw personal conduct and a gun. That could be a lot of things.
The violation stems from Clark pleading no contest to two misdemeanor charges from a June 2021 incident for possession of a concealed firearm, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Before the start of last season, Clark was arrested twice in four months, first in his hometown of Los Angeles on suspicion of having a concealed firearm in a vehicle. The second arrest, after an initial traffic stop, involved an Uzi firearm found in Clark’s vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

"Bill Walsh gave his seal of approval to Trent Edwards so you KNOW he's going to be great!"
QB development is such a fine art. Who knows if Edwards would have developed into something if given the same kind of support / coaching / roster development that Josh received?

We should all be thankful that the Bills provided a masterclass in how to mold a raw guy like Josh into a franchise QB, given all the screw ups other teams (and the Bills) have had over the years.

Well, the Pats might have a kicker controversy on their hands as well. Mac seemed to have pretty good form last night.

Dave Hojnowski (
retiredfired Bills equipment manager) would probably know.https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-hojnowski-68b89262/

There was a really odd crowd / QB dynamic going on last night.
On a number of plays it seemed almost like Jones and Zappe were "playing to the fans," like matadors in a bull fight, rather than executing a game plan. Especially Zappe after the success of the first two drives, where he seemed to get caught up in the "Next Brady" melodrama and began doing things outside of his physical capabilities and experience level (heaving up long balls, deep out crossing routes, etc.). It was definitely one of the strangest games I've ever seen.

This is some serious BS from the Patriots OFFICIAL website (not some fan-based or third party site hosted by a guy in mom's basement):
"On Monday Night Football at Gillette Stadium, New England was shockingly dominated by an inferior Bears team in a 33-14 victory over the heavily favored Patriots."
Inferior?? I've watched NFL football for 50+ years and I've NEVER seen a team's official, club-sanctioned media outlet call an opponent INFERIOR. Under any circumstances. Come hell or high water. Never.
This is without doubt EXHIBIT 1A in why that franchise is despised by so many, in spite of what should be some grudging respect for their accomplishments. The same way most long-term fans respect the Steelers or 49ers organizations and all their Lombardis.
But not the Pats. The fish rots from the head and it's a perfect embodiment of what a classless, crass and entitled organization Robert (Mr. Lube) Kraft runs there.

Listening to the Pats post-game show and heard the most honest thing ever.
"What the hell was Bill doing when he pulled Mac after the INT and the chant for Zappe went up? Listening to the media?!"

Most entertaining bad game I've watched this year.

Bill better call the Colts about Matt Ryan's availability.

The only thing left tonight is for Bill to put Mac back in for mop up duty.

Bill now probably wishes he'd gone to Kraft's wedding.

How did the refs catch that one but miss Chris Jones roundhouse kicking Allen??

Not sure what some of you are seeing in Fields. Every ball he throws seems like a prayer, throwing it up for grabs.
Plus he has the strangest QB demeanor in the huddle I've ever seen. He can't be much of a leader that way...

A pick 6 would be perfect here.
