Watson to SF would be really interesting...

Pick 12 this year, and a 1st in the next 2 seasons, plus Jimmy G could get it done.

So it's 3 1sts, with one being #12 overall in 2021, and Jimmy G, who did just play in a Super Bowl.

Watson would agree in a heartbeat. Do you think the 49ers are that turned off by Jimmy G though? His injuries have to be frustrating, I'm just curious if they would mortgage their future to upgrade him.

Manuel was just as much as a “project” as Allen was. Both were big and mobile with accuracy issues. Problem was Allen had a coaching staff that knew how to “coach up” the player while Manuel had a coaching staff that ruined him.

While I agree our coaching staff was not good when EJ came in, I still can't see him ever being successful. He was not that mobile, his athleticism never jumped off the screen at you.

We can agree to disagree but the easy stuff for EJ was hard, all around bad pick.

Though EJ was a good guy, just not a good QB.

  3. This will get worked out, not the least bit worried. Good teams pay the stars and draft young talent as well as bring in vets as role players.

If they can't figure that part out this won't last long anyways. Everyone can't get paid, like Milano, he's good but something tells me we will live without him.

that type of money is plenty for generations. It’s fully guaranteed. There’s Opt outs after 4 years. From what I read Josh’s family had money growing up. He knows 160 is plenty.

sacrifice the money you’ll never spend in your lifetime to compete for a championship every year.

be the one guy that is different in the NFL, put yourself in a position to get the ring(s) now so you aren’t chasing them at the end of your career like stafford and rivers.

So because his parents had money he should eat it? Nah, he puts his body on the line. Advice to him is get a market deal, make it somewhat team friendly and he can make concessions on a year to year basis if the team has cap issues.

No way I would take less and put the ball in their court. To bring up his parents monetary value is crazy to me.

Diggs and Beasley weren’t drafted by the Bills.

I’m asking what players the Bills drafted between 2017 and 2019 that have provided enough value to even justify their draft position.  I count two.  I don’t know if there’s another player taken during that time who would return more than maybe a 4th rounder if they were traded today.

So you honestly think Edmunds and Oliver are worth no more than a 4th? Dawkins? Milano? Davis? These guys are not all pros I understand that, but you act like they wouldn't even touch the field for another team.

  5. Have they lived up to their draft positions? No, not really. Can you go open a trash can and replace them today with no fall off? No.

They are valuable members of the team, you can't blame them for being drafted too high. I think Edmunds will be fine, in zone he follows the QBs eyes too much instead of doing what his role is in the zone coverage, but ah well, hopefully he outgrows it.

  6. Simple answer and I support the idea for the entire league actually. Athletes are not paid to be props during the national anthem, if you want to stand, sit,or do a head stand is your right to freedom. As a organization I wouldn't want to force anyone to do anything they didn't want to nor deal with the fallout of x number of players doing some demonstration.

I personally support the national anthem but hey that's my choice. Stay in the locker room and let everyone do what they are comfortable with without causing distractions from what you pay them to do. Play football.

  7. A large difference is McD came from the school of Reid when Reid played it safe, you know all those years in Philly where he won nothing.

Now Reid just throws caution to the wind and takes chance after chance. McD seems to want to be safe over and over, which is ok if you want to be a good not great team.

He's going to have to trust the players he put on the field and let them go get it or get blown out trying. I'd rather see them lose by 30 than watch a replay of last night's "play it safe" championship game.

Not quite sure why or when defensive holding or illegal contact stopped being penalties.

The lack of calls directly impacted the outcome of the GB/TB game, and IMO, did have an effect on the way our game unfolded.

I can agree with this, GB/TB they only decided to call it when the game was on the line.

KC got by with murder on our wide outs, though even if it's called fairly I'm not sure we could have beat them. Hill, Kelce, and Mahomes are monsters and probably could have put up 50 last night if it was needed.

We need a better option at TE for sure.
