I think people forgot Bama almost lost to Auburn and Arkansas and was in a dog fight with USF. Bama was never a top 4 team in the country especially with that kid at QB 🙄

He played like it was early season again, he played really well down the stretch.

I underestimated UM, they were definitely better than I believed.  Great game by them.

Bama was lucky to be in it late in the game. The center did them no favors tonight.

Best of luck to UM on the 8th though.

Washington dominated in the best conference (Pac12) this year. Penix vs Ewers should be a dual for the ages. I kinda like Washington here.

I'm not sold on UW as a 100% winner but if I had to put money on it I'm taking the over the Horns. Longhorns are inconsistent and I would have to take Penix over them for that.

UM Vs. Bama, I really think it's a mismatch. Bama should win easy, unless Bama has 3+ turnovers they win walking away.

This is why there's one more week.

If Allen owns Miami the way he's owned them over the last few years, it's going to be close.

On a side note... are we all now in agreement that CMC, Tyreek and Purdy are out of it????

So you're either in the camp that Lamar has it wrapped up or it's Lamar and then Allen with a distant shot???

Definitely Lamars to lose. Also Lamar had a huge day against the Phins which hurts Josh IMO.

Josh would have to blow Lamars numbers out if the water from this week to have a shot imo. Common opponent so close those games will be compared.

I'd rather the Bills win a Lombardi than Josh win an MVP though.

Rice’s rightful undoing was the camera footage obviously. Gotta keep your scrums in-house like Dodson.

Yeah, he was double punished. Not really sticking up for him, he's a piece of junk, but Goodell definitely lied to him and flipped when the video hit.

I’ll give you tackle numbers not being the important thing, but what I’m trying to say is the “dominant” part of his career is not long enough for HoF. It’s why we don’t talk about JA and HoF yet - everyone knows he has a long, long way to go to prove that.

In 20 years, people will still talk about Ray Lewis and LT. Nobody outside SF is going to remember Willis - he is Hall of Very Good material.

Have to agree to disagree, his entire career was the dominant part. He chose to retire early to preserve his health.

His biggest downfall is he isn't and never was a media guy. If he kept himself on shows and in the media like Ray (and for the record I'm taking nothing from Ray he was a great player) he would still be remembered.

He didn't do alot of interviews when he was in the league and surely doesn't in retirement.

Willis played 7.5 seasons and only had >100 tackles in 4 of them. How on earth is he a definite HoF other than “I’ve heard of him”?

He was an All-Pro 5 of 8 years and pro bowl for 7 years.

He was the best player on what was a top 2-3 defense every year.

This is why I hate stats. On tape and on Sunday Willis is the focal point of any offense.

Then some bum on a bad defense can make 120 tackles a year 6 yards down field and now he's supposedly better in the history books. 🤷

    Who has a bigger problem?

    • the Broncos with Wilson (5 yrs/$245 mil)
    • or, the Bills with Von Miller (6 yrs/$120 mil)

Seems to me that the Broncos have the much bigger problem. Though, neither position is enviable.

Kind of like asking, what's worse 3 years in prison or 5? Lol

It's in jest honestly, but neither position is something to envy 🤣

  8. IMO it's on Beane, you brought In an aging star and paid him like he was 28.

Tragedy struck and he messed up his knee. Worst case scenario for both parties, Von doesn't feel great with what he is putting out and Beane isn't happy with what he's getting.

Sadly with the contract given you have no flexibility as an organization.

At this point save face and make the best of it, but I can assure you neither side is "happy" about where things are at.

So where does he end up. Pittsburgh, Atlanta. Maybe Minnesota if Cousins doesn't resign there.

Put of all those teams only Atlanta would be foolish enough to do it.

I'm not sure anyone will be interested in Russ.

HGH is the best medicine available for quickly healing muscle tears, and most nfl players regularly suffer muscle tears of some degree due to the brutal nature of the game. Ban HGH and half the league can’t play on any given week either due to suspension or abstention from taking the medicine (out of fear of suspension). There is a reason the NFL doesn’t test for it and penalize players for usage. It would regularly destroy game-day rosters.

100% agreed, I wasn't bad mouthing the medicine, just stating what I thought was fact.

I cured a partial tear in my Achilles with it without having surgery. So I'm a believer.

People seem to forget Mahomes before he got the super bowls and how much of a baby/drama queen he was.

This is always who he's been...it just hasn't showed because he's had the luxury of being the darling of the league and has constantly won.

I always say you are who you associate with, and we see what people who chooses to bring to the game, really just his wife and brother rub me the wrong way.

So i always figured deep down he was just like them.

Also good thing Rodgers was never activated.

Could you imagine Rodgers testing positive for HGH? It would be incessant interviews about how “blowing belugas naturally increased my bodies natural production of HGH, but main stream media doesn’t want to talk about that”.

I thought they didn't test for HGH? I could be wrong I don't really keep up with the policy, I just figured it was understood that most players in the league were on it.

Their game against Miami is for all the marbles in the AFC and a first round bye.

i believe they will win, don’t know that they will, but whatever happens it is highly unlikely they will play a letdown game.

I think it will be an interesting game, Miami largely has the same offense as the 49ers. So they have what the Tavens would like to do to them on tape.

With that said I think the Ravens are too physical for Miami to overcome it with a few changes in the wrinkles, maybe enough foe a big play or 2 but not for the win.

I mean...come on.  Spoken as a Bills fan.

But as a fan of watching the game, that Dolphins Chiefs matchup would be great football.

If it fell out that way, the Chiefs would most likely come to Buffalo for the divisional round. Being as I would pick Buffalo, Chiefs, and Browns to win in wild card weekend.

Brilliant. Always happy to watch replays of the Niners getting spanked ad nauseum! Local media here are insufferable when they are half decent and have been all over Purdy’s Johnson for the last several weeks. It’s fun listening to listen to them try to rationalise this loss away. 🤣

Even with the 4 interception performance I hear he's still ahead of Allen as the MVP 😒 lol

  15. McD is an above average coach, with that said, I have a few gripes but I agree he would be difficult to upgrade.

He's a defensive coach which means Allen will swap systems somewhat after every great year because his OC will likely get a HC job somewhere, that's a disadvantage.

As a defensive coach we have lost most of our Heartbreakers under him due to defensive shortcomings, another bad look.

You would hope he could make his defense work with roleplayers and 1 or 2 superstars. With the way we draft and hand out contracts that seems untrue, which is unfortunate because it takes away from playmakers on offense.

So like i said he's hard to replace but he has a few deficiencies that I feel have to be cleaned up. Allen hides alot of problems on offense but he won't always be able to.

Do I think we can throw a dart at any offensive coach and get better? Absolutely not. But someone like the Lions OC would be tempting with what he's done there.
