We need to use blue shirt, so the ravens cant use their black .

I believe the black color makes easier to Lamar hide the ball in the RPO or option plays.

True. I don’t think the snow is going to be that heavy anyways, and if it easier to defend the RPO, then we should force the ravens to wear white.

No No No . we wear our traditional home uniform, blue jersey white pants.  stop the nonsense with the monochrome track suits

I don’t want it. I hate all red. It was a simple thought exercise in regards to visibility during snow football games.

color rush is once a season

    not typically in postseason

Ok thanks for the reply. I’d be ok with, especially if the lake effect snow is going. Anything to help Josh see through the snow is a plus. It might not even be that heavy of snow, but it all depends if the lake effect is going or not.

Please no.  No "alt" uniforms in the playoffs!!!

No because of personal reasons or no because they aren’t allowed in the playoffs?

    All red sucks.

I hate all red, I was just thinking it would provide an advantage for Allen in the snow.

They should wear all white so the Ravens can't see us. Make Balt wear their dark uni's.

Seems like Red would be much easier to see in the snow than purple. Figured any advantage for us is a plus.

    All blues I would guess

I was hoping for all red, it is better to see in the snow than blue. But they might not even be allowed.

And some of y'all think that he's going to magically fly through the air to outduel a HOF caliber receiver at the peak of his abilities.

It's so patently absurd that I can't believe it's being seriously discussed by otherwise seemingly rational human beings.

Since that is as diplomatically as I can put it, I'm stepping out so you gents can continue enjoying your alternative reality uninterrupted.

It doesn’t matter, that wasn’t my point. My point was there is zero liability risk if Allen is on the field camping in the end zone if all the other DBs are there as well. We pull 1 lineman, big whoopdie do. An athletic tall QB deserves the chance to play hero ball on hailmarys and nothing else will change my mind.

Youd think theyd have some kind of plan for Hopkins there like that...they couldve covered him with 6 dbs there and he still makes that catch lol I wonder if Josh could track a long pass like that its pretty difficult to do and time your jump properly...I'll never forget gronk missing a huge tackle on a last second kick return against thr dolphins that cost the pats the game so that kind of stuff makes me nervous lol im sure Bill had the same thought process as what were talking about

I mean ***** happens and it comes with risks. If you are  sending 1 d lineman, I don’t see how having Josh Allen camping in the end zone is a liability risk when all of your starting defensive backs are still on the field.

Looking back on it and seeing what didn't work that certainly seems like an option...hes still behind a healthy margin in vertical and wingspan but im sure he wouldve at least bodied Hopkins a little bit 🤣 it doesn't even sound possible but if you factor in the jump and everything else Hopkins has like a 10 inch advantage over white even though white is only a few inches shorter.  I cant think of anyone else besides Josh that wouldve even had a chance and I dont think they'd let their qb in there

I mean it’s totally worth it in my opinion. We either send the house with a pass rush or pull everyone back. Having all your CBs on the field plus Allen and a tall TE/WR on the field is literally no risk other than injury. Nothing worse than being an athletic QB who just led the team to a lead only to lose to a hailmary. As a coach, I’m giving a tall QB a shot 99% of the time.

When your just standing in the end zone waiting for a hail Mary do you want tall guys or quick little guys?

Hands down tall guys. I mean obviously you want most of your starting DBs on the field still, which is why I would just pull a d lineman or 2 and just keep 1 defender camped in the end zone. I’m a firm believer in allowing an athletic QB a chance to play hero ball in hailmary situations. They earned the right in my opinion.

Hopkins has a 5 inch higher vertical than white according to combine stats and probably the biggest hands in the history of hands and the wingspan of a 7 foot tall dude...he was literally built in a lab for the sole purpose of outjumping guys for balls 🤣🤣

I just think we don't have anyone tall enough for that...I was debating someone on here about the size difference between white and Hopkins in another thread but it is a massive mismatch when you factor in their verticals and Hopkins' wingspan...i don't think we have receivers tall enough that couldve made a difference do we? we needed to jostle him around on his way up which rarely gets called as pi on the final play so we get away with it likely or get to Murray before he threw the ball

Allen is literally one of the tallest guys we have that can jump. I’m probably in the rare majority here, but he would have gotten the nod from me if he wanted it.

  11. 1 minute ago, Turk71 said:

He is bigger.☺ I bet he would've stopped that catch at any cost which is what should've happened.

QBs are the hungriest players on the field the majority of the time, He led us to the lead. He deserved the chance to stop the hailmary. You can keep all the other DBs on the field and pull one lineman. There is literally no risk in doing so other than injury, but Josh earned the right to defend the jump ball if he want to.

That sort of strikes me as a bad time to experiment with a dubious strategy that has an infinitesimal chance of success. :flirt:

In a hailmary attempt? Why not. Seems like the best chance to try it. Allen chucking it into the end zone and Knox and Davis launch Beasley up into the air for a game winning super bowl touchdown seems like a great way to win!

Can't argue with the push and shove cuz theyre likely getting away with it but I do think if a PI was called we would all be losing our minds talking about how awful of a penalty it was and that everyone should be fired etc. 🤣

It sure would be talked about forever though haha

Then Goodell pissed off cause the Bills won on a technicality.

    It's the leverage rule

    LEVERAGE

    (o) Jumping or standing on a teammate or opponent to block or attempt to block an opponent’s kick.

    (p) Placing a hand or hands on a teammate or opponent to gain additional height in the block or attempt to block an opponent’s kick.

    (q) Being picked up by a teammate in a block or an attempt to block an opponent’s kick.

Thank you. Does this also apply for offensive plays or hailmarys? I don’t see any rules for that, just FGs.
