It was zone coverage  - it was not switched up.  If White drops deeper - it opened the flat right in front of him.  I think he recognized the issue and was trying to get safety help deep.  It was the perfect play call for that defense and the throw and catch made it work.

I do not believe it was a breakdown as much as the right call at the right time.  That play is designed to put Tre in a predicament because if he drops to cover Kelsey - it opens the flat and if he plays the flat it opens Kelsey.  He tried to be in between, but was in no mans land.

Isn't White supposed to make contact with Kelce to slow him down before taking account of the HB running in the flat?

  2. I think it is a problem of fundamentals, against the Chiefs his throws were "all arm", it was very ugly to see.

I know only a QB that could make these ugly throws work and his name is Brett Favre.

The strange thing is that I think he moves very well in the pocket, he avoides sacks and recognizes pressure, but when it's time to throw the body is simply not set.

I don't know what caused this regression, maybe is the injured shoulder, but in my opinion he has to get back to the fundamentals.

  3. What was most bothering me was those outside runs being totally uncontested at the line of scrimmage and going for 8+ yards consistently.

Wasn't the sideline to sideline cover ability one of the most celebrated Edmunds abilities?

Instead our LBs were always clogged in the middle.

I don't know if it was too easy for the OL reaching the second level, if our LBs were attacking the wrong gaps, or if our DE was losing the end contain, but it was painful to watch.

    And the missed tackles.

  4. Bills played without heart, with the only notable exception of Cole Beasley.

You can see that on Allen second interception, Beasley, being the smaller player on the field, was the only one hustling to make the tackle, the other ones played soft giving up huge chunks of yardage.

WHAT THE ***** WAS GABRIEL DAVIS DOING ON THAT PLAY, IF I WERE MC DERMOTT I WOULD BE FURIOUS.

Mistakes happen, lack of effort is inenexcusable.

  5. I am a fan of strong defenses, 13-10 hard fought football games when every first down must be earned.

It can be a matter of schemes, lack of pre season, lack of audience, referee calls, but this year I see offenses having a stronger will and passion and hustle than defenses.

I see a lot of miracoulous contested catches, running backs breaking incredible tackles, qbs escaping the pressure and delivering at the very last instant...

It seems that iconic defensive players bringing the HEAT on the football field are gone, I am thinking of players like Troy Polamalu, Ray Lewis...

I don't know if others share the same thoughts.

Huh???  What do you think a curl pattern is?  You curl and wait for the ball.  It will never/seldom arrive in perfect time.  Defender has the right to put his arm around & try and knock the ball away.  He does not have the right to hit him before the ball arrives.

I agree, but only because the hit arrived way before the ball.

In case of a bang bang play I will give the possibility to the DB to play "through" the receiver, I saw a lot of DPI called in this case.

  7. In my opinion it is a borderline call, if the receiver is not moving WAITING for the ball, the db must have the right to play the ball thus making contact with the receiver.

As the rule is ruled right now, I fear this is PI...

  8. "Mamma butta la pasta!" (with a strong american accent)

From the Illinois Native Dan Peterson, who had a great basketball career as a coach here in Italy and become famous as a commentator of italian basketball and NBA.

He used to say the famous catchphrase at the decising moment of the game, even if there was still time to play, the game was over and everyone could tell their mom they would be ready to have lunch!

You cannot develop herd immunity to this epidemy without sacrificing too many lives.

Too many people will need artificial breathing and there is no enough treatment for everybody.

And I am talking about people in the 30/50 years of age.

Now that there are BIG hot beds that went over control the only way is the lockdown italian way, also UK understood this and after he told the worst things about how we managed the infections he is simplying copying our laws.

After the big hot beds will be over, you can copy what Korea made, that is trace EVERY case and lockdown only the positve spots with the use of local mass testing and technology to follow the chains of infection.

Italy is experimenting this with success in small centers in the countryside.

There are a lot of reasons of the italian outbreak, one can be the one you posted.

In my opinion one of the main reason of the spread is how the problem was faced by private health care at the beginnig.

There is some debate here in Italy, but I personally think his is the crucial point.

Health care in Italy is mostly public, but in the latest years, lot of "cuts" were made, and laws were enacted to regionalize it.

Long story short, in Lombardia, the "epicenter" region, there are a lot of private structures.

When the epidemy was at the beginning the public stuctures closed their ordinary departement and converted them to treat the covid.

All the visits that were not "matter of life and death" were postponed to face the epidemy, in order to keep the structures free for the covid an for not risking of infecting the  patients. Some parts of ordinary departments were kept open, but they were completely isolated from the covid departments.

On the contrary, the private structures didn't want to postpone or cancel the "ordinary visits" because the did not want to lose money, so they kept all the departments open.

Covid patients came to the structures and spreaded the disease.

There are a lot of evidence here in Italy that public stuctures followed the protocols in a better way, while the private ones trasformend into covid "cores".

Cases are down another 14% from previous day.

    3/21  6557

    3/22  5560

    3/23  4789

This is why you take extreme measures of quarantining, to bring the rate of contagion down.

    This is good news

    @PaoloBillsFanFromItaly

Yes, extreme measures are beginning to give results, I was expecting the lowering of the cases one week before (15 days after the decree) so I was very pessimistic until today.

Today it seems that the lowering trend is for real.

    You ok?

Yes I am ok thank you, from that day I worked from home.

Never left home except for bring out thrash and buy food.

One sunday I left home before the dawn to go running in the mountains close to home.

Now running is forbidden too, so I make gym in my living room to try to keep in shape :)

Speaking of covid, here in Liguria the situation is under control, but in Lombardia the thing is very serious, maybe we are close to the peak, I hope so.

The south has much warmer weather than the north. I’m wondering if this has had any impact on the spread of the virus.

I think this is only a hope, but no scientific evidence.

For sure hot weather conditions are less favorable for virus spread, windows are always open, people don't cough, sniff...

I don't know if hot "kills" the virus for itself.
