    For those who remember the next few moments of that night, Dec. 8, 1980, Smith and the game itself have become historical and cultural markers overshadowed by but forever connected to Howard Cosell's announcement that John Lennon had been shot and killed.

    Players and fans inside the stadium were not aware of what Cosell had just announced on national television. There was no public-address announcement or murmur through the crowd, like there would have been today with people scanning social-networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

     

     

     

    Instead, fans inside the stadium watched as Smith's kick was blocked, disappearing into the aqua and orange of Miami's defensive line. The Dolphins scored on the first possession of overtime to win 16-13. 

     

    Was that the guy that was in Paul McCartney‘s band before Wings?

    Living in Florida I love, love, love watching the jags and dolphins lose. I don’t really enjoy Tampa losing, I actually feel bad for them.

    If BillsMafia is compiling their social media hit list, here are a few recommendations from yours truly:

     

    1. Max Kellerman - generally doesn't bother following the Bills, so knows very little about the team. Not a big Josh Allen fan.

    2. Skip Bayless - Cole Beasley hater...calls him "Measly Beasley." Dresses like a mafia don for some reason.

    3. Colin Cowherd - big Josh Allen skeptic. Thinks the NFL would be better off with Buffalo relocated to a bigger market. Whiny douche.

    4. Shannon Sharpe - has an IQ slightly higher than my border collie. Also slightly more articulate than my border collie. Has never had any respect for Buffalo as an NFL city, no matter what the team does.

    5. Nick Wright - has a face too ugly even for radio. Former power bottom for Cris Carter. Has been an unrelenting Josh Allen hater since day one.

     

    Go get 'em, BillsMafia!

    Calling Nick Wright a power bottom makes him sound more masculine than he actually is.
