No value from 25-32
... I stand corrected lol. Glad I stayed up!

I don't see them trading down again and giving up that 5th year option.
-
It is entirely possible that he appeared under-utilized on offense because there was such a focus of making sure Diggs got his targets.
We need worse receivers - amirite?!

This is just not true. It's a myth. It worked out once for the Pats in Jimmy G. Everyone else they took a loss on.
You sure about that?
Jacoby Brissett was traded.
Ryan Mallet was traded.
Matt Cassel was traded.
Hell, even Drew Bledsoe was traded after being behind Brady.

I'm going to save you guys a little future embarrassment and let you know why there is zero chance of this happening.
Mitch Trubisky signed a 2-year contract with the Bills and a lot of it is guaranteed, which means he's the backup.
That means whoever you draft is going to be on the practice squad... until they inevitably get stolen off the practice squad by another team.
Thus, it would be a wasted pick. This example happened with Jake Fromm. Remember?
We drafted him in the 5th. He went to the practice squad. He got stolen by the Giants. Zero compensation. All they had to do was give him a roster spot.
So... unless you expect us to carry 3 QB's on the active roster (which never happens) or expect Joe Milton to take Mitch's job before the season starts and have us take a huge loss on a guaranteed contract to Mitch, there is no reason to do this.
You're welcome.
How you can post something so matter-of-factly the same week this team took a dead cap hit of 31M is beyond my comprehension. You really think a couple million guaranteed to a backup that hasn't performed anywhere is going to stop them from drafting a QB they like?
Lol... "you're welcome"...

I'm not saying MHJ will be the same, but look at what the Bills gave up to move up to #4 to draft Sammy Watkins only for the receivers drafted after him to turn out to be much better in the NFL. Highly drafted doesn't always translate to highly productive - wasn't Diggs a 4th rounder? I'd rather stay put or even trade back - this team will stay in cap hell if they don't draft well, and having more picks increases your odds of "hitting" on one.

I'd say any time you have an opportunity to draft a QB you like in the later rounds, you do it. Look at how much weight was put into any QB that got to learn behind Brady - it definitely was a net positive for the Pats. I don't see why it wouldn't be here.

Lol you almost have to feel bad for any Jags fans coming to our board hoping for some positive insight on Gabe with all of us going "OH NO! Beane asleep at the wheel again!! NO GABE NO!!" and instead everyone is like "probably dropped the pen TBH. good riddance."
He had some good games for the Bills, but disappeared like a blind date when the bill came to the table too often...

Come on now, that was a little over the line don't you think?

I love Josh, but this isn't that outlandish. The #1 pick in a draft with a (supposedly) generational QB talent is incredibly valuable.
Add in their 2025 1st and a roster player of our choice and I'd seriously consider it.
Yes, and what do you tell fans when you draft a Baker Mayfield/Sam Darnold and Henry Ruggs with this years picks, the roster player gets hurt, and then next years first rounder is 32nd overall because Josh Allen took them to and won the superbowl?
-
The Bills say no, for one...
Also every single one of the 500,000 fans that were at the comeback game in person. I swear.

I voted no, not just because the Steelers game was much closer than it should have been, but because they played scared football. We need an OC and DC that looks to unleash the weapons they have available to them - not play this soft dink and dunk offense while only rushing 4 90% of the time on defense.
This team became so predictable down the stretch, that my wife now thinks I'm from the future because of how often I was able to call out what was about to happen just before it did.
Which is sad, because I never even played past middle school football.

I didn't comment because I didn't think it was a fake slide, and it certainly doesn't seem like I could convince you to see it my way...

I'm amazed at how many of you are seemingly just looking past the steelers like this team didn't struggle mightily in the regular season.
Sure, if we dominated every team in that last 5 game stretch, I could see some "looking ahead". But they didn't... they had arguably 1 solid game out of the 5. They tend to let lesser teams hang around too long
With that being said... SHOULD the Bills advance... man it would be sweet to send the swifties home crying for once.
-
When you look at the quality of competition we managed to lose to throughout the course of this season, yes my nerves are 100% justified.
Zach Wilson led Jets beat us.
Mac Jones led Pats beat us.
Broncos that gave up 70 to the fish beat us.
I'd be willing to say without double checking... most of our losses came to subpar or non playoff teams. Some downright sad.

I'm in favor of this. I had to make a move in fantasy and opted to drop Murray and kept Playoff Lenny.

I gotta hand it to you, that was pretty clever.
Bet he wants to sign with a contender so he can go out with a bang.

Why do they insist on getting Murray so many snaps?

I don't comment nearly as much as I used to... but I can honestly say with 100% confidence... it is time to move on and see what Joe Brady has to offer as OC.
Like... seriously this feels like when Bledsoe got hurt and Brady came in for relief. Keeping Dorsey at this point is putting Bledsoe back in and living with the mediocre results. You don't win championships hoping people find the answer.
