I think that right now, this team is 10 times better than last year entering the regular playoffs.
I think it’s important to recognize what wasn’t said last season. McD and Frazier were playing so far “off” on defense because they had no other choice. We didn’t have nearly enough healthy horses on defense down the stretch. I simply think they chose a slow death instead of a quick one in that Bengals game.
excellent take. And Pittsburgh is nowhere near last year's Bengals.

I have no idea where in that PC you feel that "he and Josh aren't close" is coming from. He specifically mentioned "your QB gets banged up" as an injury the Bills had sustained, so that reinforces that maybe Josh's shoulder has been worse than the team has let on, but he knows about it. He was asked about his relationship with Josh evolving this year, he said not so much this year, he's been here 4 years, and when there's adversity that's when you get closer to people. The obvious conclusion to be drawn from what he said is that he's gotten closer to some guys in the locker room (including Josh) during the adversity of injury this season.
I always thought their "bro-mance" was more of a media creation than a real off-the-field friendship. Not that they don't have real respect for each other and liking, and not that Diggs didn't have warm fuzzy feelings when he racked up a league-leading 127 receptions for 1535 yds back in 2020. But without a pandemic shutting things down, I don't think Diggs is a big video gamer. He's not a golfer either. You never saw pics of Diggs going to Sabres games or baseball or what have you with Josh, that would be like Davis Webb and Josh and Dawson Knox and sometimes Gabe Davis. Diggs thing is fashion and also "playing" with the ladies, and I think he keeps that "under cover" (pun intended) during the season. I just don't think he and Josh have a lot of interests in common or ever have had. Doesn't mean they're not "locker room family" and don't have a solid professional football relationship. I just never thought they were really 'besties' off the field.
I also really liked what I heard from Diggs about the rest of the receiver corps and how he roots for their success and he expects big things from them. He came across as a mature, steady teammate with a positive vibe is what I got from it, little trace of the Diva and the petulant-appearing guy we saw at the end of last season.
THIS
Watch these 2 on the sidelines especially during tight games or after big plays. They are fully engaged. Nothing to see here.

Why worry? it can’t change anything,,. And it may not be as bad as you think …On the positive …Both sides have to play in the same conditions … and the Bills seem a lot tougher this season…
Correct, worrying does nothing. Our QB can throw lasers through any wind, while Rudolph throws high arching moon balls which will be neutered by the wind. As long as we continue to play as a unified, dynamic defense and tackle well, and run the ball with intent and purpose, this game is ours to be had.

Been there done that ...
No desire to get into it over in PPP - my comment was simply a response to someone getting shot after a game.
Understood, my comment was in reply to @WhitewalkerInPhilly
It's tragic and senseless and could have happened anywhere, that was my point.

I mean, there's a loooooong list of reasons why Florida deeps digging themselves deeper, but I'll keep it over to PPP.
Indeed, take it to PPP. Plenty of room there for insane political infighting.

I can’t remember a team being in a position to win the number 2 seed or miss the playoffs entirely based on the results of one game. Am I crazy or is this a pretty rare circumstance? Either way hopefully the boys take care of business tonight. I know we’ve been spoiled the last 5 years but missing playoffs would be a real bummer.
it’s because of our conference record

Some guys think Allen is gonna ball out cause he was snubbed from the pro bowl… Hey what ever it takes to light a fire under his ass and tear ***** up I’m all for it
that’s actually funny, because the Pro Bowl has become a glorified flag football game. Something tells me Allen is going to ball out no matter what.

After 12 men & the Eagles making a 60-yarder against us - I think we all would have taken having a chance to beat the Dolphins for the 2 seed.
It's nice to have the "back in" option - but maybe it's better not to have that.
Completely agree. I want the Bills to win and claim what’s theirs- and not have to rely on someone else losing to get in.

Yeah, but we know how it goes with our defense. Sometimes offenses that have no business putting up points magically do against us. Bailey Zappe had some moments last week and so did Easton Stick. Don't get me wrong, our D has been playing a lot better lately, but I still come to expect them to disappoint.

Right...because a new training and conditioning staff would stop someone rolling their leg in the turf and eliminate ACLs and Achilles tears
not to mention a fractured tibia and a torn pectoral. Some people fail to remember the NFL is a violent game played by guys who get bigger and faster every year, and is played on garbage artificial turf.

it is important to attack them immediately and break their spirit. Like we did to Dallas almost the entire game.exactly. Do not give a wounded animal any hope.

The Bills’ entire focus at practice this week should be to come out with urgency and execution when they start the game with the ball at Miami. They cannot afford to come out flat against a weakened opponent.

Eh, it’s a difference for sure. In direct sunlight and 75 is different than 75 and shade. If you don’t know that, I have to question if you live in Sarasota.
i’m not disputing direct vs indirect sunlight can be a factor even at 75. However, it’s not a huge competitive advantage in January as it is in September. That’s the only point I was trying to make.
And I do live in Sarasota, used to live in ATL for many years, thanks though.
2 minutes ago, CincyBillsFan said:It also depends on what you're used to. If you're coming from a cold climate and you've acclimated to temps in the 30's, 75 in he sun can seem pretty damn hot. Sure it's not at bad as September but it could wear players down. The key as other posters have pointed out is getting the game out of the sun.

Don't disagree with the early season tempertures version the late season temperatures, ie 95 vs 75. But...
I believe one team sweating in direct sunlight even at 75 degrees, while wearing dark uniforms to soak up extra heat is still an advantage for the home team. And we all know the field temperatures are always more than the ambient. Add to that the humidity for teams not used to practicing in it still gives Miami and advantage, even at night. So the night game at least takes the direct sunlight off the Bills and their dark uniforms.
It is (relatively) cool and dry here now in south Florida. Humidity this time of year is non-existent. High of 71 today. Absolutely perfect.

Playing after dark in MIami in early January also mitigates one of the great home field advantages Miami has. Both sidelines will be the same temperature.
the daytime temperature in January in Miami is not a factor. It is a “great home field advantage” much earlier in the season. This is the second erroneous post I’ve seen on this topic.

That Seattle loss today has defeated me!
No reason to feel defeated. It shouldn't come down to us relying on other teams to lose. If we can't beat Miami given their injuries and inability to beat good teams, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs anyhow.
I'm expecting Allen to lead this team to a win at Miami. Convincingly.

What cryptic IG story?
I just looked at his account and his last post was on the 18th and his story, which didn't seem cryptic at all, was posted this morning.
You keep bringing this up. Not sure what your agenda is here.
there is no cryptic IG story nor has he been pouting. He looks a bit unhappy either bc he's playing hurt (probably) or he is not meeting his own very high expectations. A guy like Diggs has a lot of pride. His interviews/press conferences are always insightful without cliches. You can tell he wants to be part of the solution and it pains him to fall short.
I'm with you - not sure what the agenda is here.
