Not attacking Luck for his decision but his timing could have been a lot better as far as the Colts are concerned.

There is s lot of noise on this topic, and I frankly don’t get why any Bills fan is concerned about the well being of the colts, the weaker all possible opponents are the better off we are. If Brady retired would any one that mattered care about the health of the Pats franchise ? Of course not, so why does any non colts fan care about the health of that franchise?

GMs have much more important things to do than worry college players who are two or three years from being eligible for the NFL draft.  Too many first or second year collegiate players -- like so many NFL rookies -- who look great early on and then flame out.

I believe that good GMs keep an eye on this more than you think, again for planning purposes, a GM would be delinquent in his duties if it was not tracked appropriately, again, on top of constant surveillance of league player opportunities,

GMs do have staffs to track these things, and keep them informed throughout each  year. They do indeed keep track of the 5 star recruits, and to which colleges they are attending. It’s part and parcel of what they do.

From his rookie year to last season he doubled his catches, yards, and catch rate.  He tripled his TDs and increased his yards per target by 2 yards.  Why is he done improving as a wr?  Because, he hasn't lit up preseason?  Let's not forget what this team was for half the season.  They were a dumpster fire.  Having the same Qb for hopefully the whole season will help as well.  Nevertheless, Williams made a great catch over a backup db and has more potential.  Got it.

Considering that there wasn’t much in the way of choices for our QB to throw to last season explains his catch increase. Then Look at all the passes Jones dropped(*).   Confidence in Jones is waining, hence his up tick in special teams reps. Good WR gotta catch YAC, and block, bubble WR  gotta do special teams.

I'm a little sick of all the talking heads and current / ex-football players saying the Colts' fans were wrong to "Boo" Andrew Luck.

Sure the guy has been thrown around like a rag doll for the last 6 years, but you have to dig deeper into one issue that has been talked about very little: MONEY

First, we can all agree that Jim Irsay is of questionable integrity. Had a few run-ins with the law, TANKED the year to get Luck, and is overall somewhat slimy.

If Luck was having this pain for the last few years and recently had problems with his calf muscle and ankle, why did it become a "career ending" problem just two weeks before the start of the season. MONEY

Second, take a look at what Luck said on his interview. Paraphrasing here but he said he's had discussions with Chris Ballard over the summer about his pain, physical condition, etc.  Why do you think he held off on making this announcement until two weeks before the season? MONEY

Third, when Irsay found out about Luck's condition and discussions with Ballard, I'll bet Irsay brought Luck into his office and said "Can you hold off for another month or two? Let's wait and see? I'll make it worth your while."  Meanwhile, the Colts were able to renew season tickets and generate revenue based on the assumption (by those same Booing fans) that Luck was all set to play this year.

Fourth, fast forward to the day after his retirement when we hear in passing that Irsay will not seek repayment of the $21 million bonus!!! What??

Something stinks in this whole thing.  Irsay, the delays in announcing retirement, and the "Go ahead and keep $21 million". I don't feel bad for Luck at all. Ironworkers, roofers, police officers, etc. all suffer through pain and discomfort and very rarely get a $21 million dollar golden parachute on retirement.  The dirt will come out soon enough...and the Fans will really start to Boo.

LOL, Foil hat territory, and an amazing level of lip service caring going on as well. Well done sir, well done.  Tell him what he’s won Roddy...?

I honestly think fantasy talk is more interesting than a lot of regular sports talk. At least the fantasy stuff gets you some interesting stats that you wouldn't hear otherwise. I'd rather listen to that than listening to the Skip Baylesses and Stephen A Smith's of the world.

Bamboo shoots under fingernails is more enjoyable than hearing Skip Bayless or Stephen Smith Talk about anything.  Just sayin,

One of the great sports experiences is a summer evening game at Dodger Stadium. What surprises many people is that it is the third oldest stadium in MLB after Fenway and Wrigley. Because a place is "old" doesn't necessarily mean it's crappy.

So true! Saw a game out there a couple of months back, Dodgers stadium is very nice place to catch a game, as is New Era.

Interesting article, but what's with the gratuitous reference to the old stadium?

Maybe because it’s an old stadium, I don’t think anyone could say it’s a bad stadium for game watching, in fact just the opposite. It is just that it lacks the amenities that have been in demand throughout the NFL for some number of years now. Me I wish they could transplant the stadium into downtown Buffalo as it is, but reality says otherwise.

Nice article, up beat and did not avoid the issues of a young QB finding his way.

But i'm pretty sure this has been discussed multiple times.

I’m pretty sure every possible subject had been discussed hundreds of times, what are you wanting, 50 threads max, that are 400 pages long? Chill a bit, and work the flow...

The average listener doesn’t care about the Atlanta Falcons, etc. Start talking about Julio Jones fantasy implications and they do.

You may not care for fantasy football but its  appeal goes far beyond a “child’s game.”

I’m just not sure Mike Schopp and Jeremy White are who I’d turn to for fantasy advice, though. Guys can barely discuss data-driven stats for their own team let alone the league.

I have never listened to those two guys, ever.  Not sure why those two are relevant in any way.  Discussion of data driven facts is and has been fully available without pretend football, it has been going on pretty much since football started. but to each his/her own. For me it is on par with fantasy driveway shoveling. But do enjoy if it’s your thing.

    Go real football Bills!!!!

  10. It used to be, and still is in some instances, now a days it’s importants is in evaluation of technics and schemes, as well as individual performance of the players. There are some who feel preseason games are not practice or of any importants, but they are wrong, though they try through a disjointed thought process to validate their opinions, they are still wrong. ?

Lol. Really might have to. Basically disgusted over these teams. As well as WGR already talking like 9-7 is unattainable.

Very very frustrated. Big Allen and McDermott fan.

I just cant do another ***** rebuild. Won’t be sticking around for that

First off, no more WGR!! Never ever listen to WGR!! This alone will help your psyche considerably, second, see #1, third rinse and repeat.
