Well, this thread is discussing the weather being our kryptonite.  Our total yards and points on offense certainly matters.

We had our first game of the season in which we didn’t get 20 first downs.  We had 188 passing and 32 rushing.  We were ineffective on offense minus the first drive of the 2nd half.  The ravens got stops on 3rd down.

Diggs was wide open by 10-15 yards....yet Josh overthrew him by 20 yard.  He overthrew everyone on deep shots.  Our offense suffered and we were bailed out by the longest INT return in playoff history.

A win is a win, but bad weather hurts our team more than the oppositions in just about every game.  Nothing we can do about it except hope that we can turn things around in that regard.  Soon.

If The weather argument were true why is it we have won the majority of “weather” issue games?  Poor weather effects all teams, the argument is a bit over blown that it effects the Bills more, what I’m seeing is that it effects the fans who want and old fashion run first team.

    Go Bills!!!

The ravens moved the ball better than we did.  They had more passing yards and 5x as many rushing yards.  33% more total yards. More first downs.  33% more ToP.

one pick six is why we won.  True story.

The Ravens never scored a TD. True story, it matters not how many yards a team gains if there is no fruit to pick at the end, our offense out scored their offense, our defense out performed their defense, both kickers missed two field goals, this too is a true story. The Ravens lost end of story.

    Go Bills!!!

I see 40% and low winds, which seems fine.

It's a weakness with most QB's (bad weather), however it really affects the Bills offence more at this point.

It appears that it effected the Ravens more so in our last game in which they failed to score a touchdown through four quarters, but yeah, the Bills.... 🙄

I hear what you're saying about blocking schemes. I think a much faster back can get to the edge on plays that M&M can't, and I also think there are holes that they haven't had the speed to take advantage of.

But for me, I think a crucial way to beat teams playing coverage is to harness the mismatch of a great and fast receiving back out of the backfield. M&M are capable, but not dangerous or the type of threat that teams need to game plan.  I think Ettienne becomes a security blanket in the passing game against top defenses who can get pressure and cover downfield. Much like Kamara has been for Brees.

I understand you view, but we have the security blanket in Beasley, we already have a great receivers group. I don’t care if it takes two more plays to make it into the end zone, it has the side benefit of using more clock, keeping the opposing offense of the field. I’m not opposed to a better RB, but the priority isn’t in that room, imo.

You don't think a RB with 4.3 speed that can add 50-70 catches and 10-15 TD's a year would elevate the offense more than any other position?

We don’t need the catches, we need better run blocking and run play schemes, It would be nice if Singletary and Moss were one third of a second faster, but that isn’t going to make the O line blocking schemes better. You’re missing the root cause of the running game problem, it’s not speed, it’s run blocking.

I have no idea how or why I keep getting misrepresented here.

I just said we should take a deep breath and get through the weekend.

The deep breath is because the take is a really bad one. Comparing Allen in year 3, especially after how he performed in years 1 and 2, to probably the most transcendent player in all of sports history is so incredibly stupid (at least to this point) So yes, we should pump the breaks, take a deep breath, and get through the weekend.

Context and word definitions are hard...

If any particular fan has that opinion, it is his or her right to have it and express it without being called ignorant.

It is their right to have an opinion, but their is no such thing as a right to not be called out for announcing what would have been better to have been not mentioned, saying foolish things and be rebuked for it is all part of life and learning...
