I don't care much for Josh Allen the person. I certainly can't respect someone who treats his body the way he does and approaches his craft the way he does.

He's had a lot to say about being hyper focused on football, but it certainly doesn't seem that way to me.

If Josh would lock in and put in the work of the greats, he could be the best ever and would undoubtedly lead Buffalo to a championship or five.

I was a huge Michael Jordan fan growing up, and he is unanimously  known to be one of the most dedicated athletes of all time.  It turns out he would eat fast food, drink, smoke cigars, stay up hours gambling, and played lots of golf.  He is arguably known as the greatest athlete of all time.

The point is all these guys live lives outside their sport. It doesn't mean they aren't putting in work when they need to, and probably need the breaks to rejuvenate and so they have the energy to dominate when they need to.

  2. The Bills didn't bring him in to be a superstar.  What they have seen so far in camp is probably some of the worst middle line backer play in the NFL. So, it is too late to make it a strength so this signing is a hope for at least a return to below average for that position.

I'm guessing they will target the position in a major way this coming offseason, either through free agency, the draft, or with a year in the system giving Williams every rep to have him ready next year.

  3. Wouldn't they be going after some type of criminal investigation if he was drugged and basically taken against his will? then died due to the prior listed activities.

The fact his family has already received money through settlements is crazy to me.  How many more lawsuits are they filing? I'm guessing he didn't take care of them with a solid life insurance policy.

  4. He reminds me of a kid in my high school that just can pick up anything and was better than most anybody.  All state football, basketball, and baseball.

Partied all the time. Ended up playing d1 baseball. Didn't hardly see him practice.

Johnny football was just the best of the athletes like that so it took him to really high levels.

  5. The last time he was a true play calling OC was at Colorado under John Embree. That team had huge problems with being organized and even setup for plays.  He was terrible as an OC for them, bit that was quite a few years ago, and he has had a great person to work under.

We will see how this goes, but my money would be on little to no improvement.

  6. Klein is the only one that hasn't gotten a chance with the 1s. I'm thinking they are looking to go young this year, and hopefully have a multi year cost savings at that spot.

They will plan to put Klein on the practice squad and if somebody gets hurt then they can have h him activated. I do think that the other three would be picked up if cut.

  7. I'm hoping it's Spector. The guy had an over 9 RAS score so, he is plenty athletic.  The coaching staff has talked about great instincts and from what we saw from PS last year, the guy loves to hit.

Here is the point I'd like to understand before I morally exonerate Araiza and the others who had sex with the girl... she was 17 at the time of the incident and there's video of the sex acts.

The age of consent in CA is 18. Why isn't this statutory rape?

BTW nice to see all the message board vigilantes out here with their clubs and ropes. So much anger at a "false accuser" as if the men involved are blameless.

It was proven videos taken at the party that she was telling everybody she was 18 and going to the junior college.  That's why there was not statutory rape charges. The morals of random sex could be discussed, but I would guess around 90%of the league would have been guilty of that in college.

  9. Hurts really surprised me with how he looked in the super bowl as well.  I had seen him quite a bit at Alabama and Oklahoma, and expected him to be more a Tyrod Taylor type pro.

He made very few what I would call "wow" plays in college or taking the team on his back and winning a game. He will have to back it up but he looked like a top 4-7 qb in the league last year which I never expected to be the case.

  10. Like others have said, it all comes to protecting him.  If you go back and look at the 2021 playoff games.  His protection was solid.  That was JA at his best which was completely lights out and best in the league.

Those games are what drove BB not to mess with the line much last year, and is providing them hope coming into this one. I feel a lot better about the line this year besides depth at the tackle positions, so this could be the year we were all hoping for last year after those playoff games from 2021,  where he was unstoppable.

Allen doesn't seem as focused as Diggs at winning. That's not a Diggs problem.

Considering Diggs doesn't show up for anything that isn't mandatory, this is a tough sell. All these new receivers that he could help mentor and improve the team and he is a no show.

  12. This one hits home.  One of my really close high school friends had to deal with this in a small town.  He and his family ended up moving due to false allegations.

The thing that gets me is everyone knows his name, and doing some initial searches, i still can't find hers.  She shouldn't have any protection at this point.  What she did was awful and she should be held accountable.

  13. As a Wyoming grad, it would be a good signing.  He played all the interior line positions at wyoming, at different points of his career. Was one of the most durable lineman in his 4 year career, and is technically sound. He is also very smart.

He would be cheap right now, and would be worth a look, if his injury history turns around, he could have another solid 5 years in the league.

  14. This team is an elite team.  They were 13 and 3 last year, in most years that gets you the one seed.

The defense will be better if they are able to stay healthy.  To end the year Poyer was hobbled, Hyde was out, Miller was out, Phillips was out, Tre wasn't himself,  Elam was a rookie that was still learning, and then you had the Hamlin impact as well.  With some better injury luck and some development from the young guys, the defense could be better without Edmonds.

On offense, the two biggest issues were receiving options and the offensive line.  The guards will be improved and I'm still optimistic with a healthy offseason and his athleticism Brown could be an above average right tackle.  Adding some more slot options and adding Kincaid in the draft, plus Josh's elbow healing can improve the passing game.

They also added a couple of running backs that will be improve their options for short yardage.

There is a lot to be excited about.

  15. Spector will be one to keep an eye on during camp.  He played well in the preseason games, although the competition wasn't great.  He showed up big every chance he got.  I remember reporters saying he was sticking out in practice as well.

Beane has brought his name up multiple times as someone that will compete.
