My hope is that it is Claypool. It is a LONG shot, but that would be the best result for the team. He and Keon on the outside with Shakir and Kincaid in the middle part of the field.
Throw in Cook with his explosiveness, and that would be tough to plan against. Then you have Samuel being a Swiss army knife for different alignments.

I think the absolute best case scenario is that Claypool realizes this is his last chance puts in a lot of work, and realizes his potential. I think it is a REALLY big long shot, but that would be ideal. I think he has legit top ten receiver talent if he worked at it. You
As for MVS, as others have men mentioned, it gives us better depth. The push for big receivers is evident rather than relying on guys like Sherfield and Harty trying to run routes down the field. Even Diggs in the 2nd half of the year was not reliable.
I like the change in philosophy.

I'm glad to hear they brought Eason in. He has a big arm and is a big dude. Might be one of the few that could come close to Josh's arm strength.
He was a big time high school prospect.

He was really coming on at the end of last year. I though he would be a thousand yard type receiver this year for Mahomes.
Any news like this doesn't hurt the Bills.

My expectations are really the same as they were last year. I think they are one of about six teams that will have an opportunity to win a super bowl. This is a team that has the potential to be better than the last two years, come playoff time.
There were 7 to 8 starters on defense that were either coming off major injury or out for the KC game. They still got stops in the 2nd half to give the offense a chance to win.
For the offense, we could see them be better with a full off-season working with Brady. My biggest concern is the loss of Morse. He was the veteran anchor of the line and Josh was really comfortable with him. They will have a big downgrade in experience with whatever option they go with(Van Pran or McG). I do think that the Bill's have seen enough in practice to be comfortable moving forward, but that is my biggest concern with the offense. I really don't think the Diggs loss will hurt at all, could even be addition by subtraction with the way the last ten games went.
So, for me the expectations are 11-14 wins and a division title and be one of the best 6 teams in the league.

I think this allows for there to be a backup plan if McGovern or Edwards don't work out. It really helps bring up the floor for the oline.

No surprise here, my guess would be he is extended sometime this season, and will never play on that option.

This season reminds me of the year that KC traded Tyreke. Many were saying they were going to take a step back, as they reset the roster.
I think the key will be injuries. If the defense goes into the playoffs healthy, they can be a lot better than the last time they played. Having Milano, a healthy Daquan, Benford, Bernard, and hopefully improvement from Von, in addition to what the rookies bring. This defense can be much better.
Also, a full off-season for Brady to build up the offense to his design. I'm much more optimistic than a lot of comments I'm seeing.

Due to how we handled the draft, I'm thinking they may have some other plan for one more receiver spot. Maybe a trade or post June cuts. We will see. There is still a lot of time before training camp.

For those that said he isn't great at either, the guy didn't give up a single pass over 20 yards all year, zero touchdowns given up last year. Two time all american. That is pretty elite from a CB.
The guy has a history of playing safety, both in college and high school, so its not that he is a complete novice at either position. He had excellent coaching from Phil Parker at Iowa. Just take a look at all the defensive backs currently in the pros from Iowa. Also, is an excellent returner.
My biggest worry would be his late season injury and even though most people recover these days, it may be a 2 year process before he is himself.

I would love a Franklin and Leggete combination.
You combine those two with Kincaid, Shakir, and cook on the field, and that would be a diverse, and explosive set of eligible receivers to combine with Josh's playmaking.

I did play qb through childhood and through high school. I have completed a decent about of passes in games before. With that said 1 to 5 would still be a max for me.

They did hire a new coach for the corners (addae), and there is a new defensive coordinator in place (babich). Previous secondary coach John Butler was also the "passing game coordinator", and Elam's post-season comments seemed to indicate that they may have butted heads a bit.
What comments did Elam make after the season?

If we somehow got Mitchell and Franklin, I would lose my mind with happiness.
I would throw Leggette in there. If we got any combination of two out of those 3, I would be extremely happy.

I don't think there is any doubt in my mind that they could win it this year. The team was 3 dropped passes where if one of those was completed, one off balanced throw to an open receiver and a missed routine fg away from beating this year's super bowl winner.
We gain big pieces back on defense, and I truly don't think the receiver losses hurt them all that much. Better injury luck and hit on a receiver in the draft and I think they are in good shape.

I follow Iowa closely because my dad went there. I watched most every game he played in. He is a gamer. Just a really good football player. He will find a way to be a started for ten years. I don't think we will be upset in the long run at all. He can provide return ability, play safety, slot corner, outside corner. You find a way to get him on the field.
To get an idea of his athleticism watch his dunk videos.

Having 3 young girls, this is just sick. Praying for these children that were in this dude's care. What a mess!

When I saw this, I thought obviously fake. It doesn't change the fact that he seems to be a head case.
He is not doubt talented, but when I read the article about him writing messages in nail polish for different games, I thought huge red flags in terms of being a leader of men.

I like it. Prefect rb3 for the team.

We might actually keep one of our late round dbs. The last few have been getting getting signed like wildgoose and Austin, who I liked, from last year. Hopefully, they find another diamond in the rough like Benford and sit behind Douglas for a year or two. Unfortunately, I don't think Elam will be consistent enough in the scheme.

Obviously San Fran has this figured out a lot better than the bills. They have a 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th.

Actually he lost over 80 grand. All that matters is what he deposited and what he withdrew. You can make a whole bunch then gamble it all and lose it. It said most of the winnings went back into other bets, which I'm guessing he lost, then deposited more money.

I will be routing for Houston just so the bills could get one more home game. I think the biggest hurdle is this weekend either way.

Joe Brady's offensive concepts with LSU / Panthers

I know college defenses are much different as stated above, but what that shows is his desire to stretch vertically when available. Also, the offense did try to hit on some deep routes that just weren't completed against KC.
Three of them were thrown pretty well, and the receivers just didn't come down with them. I think that is a big reason why we see the shift in adding big receivers. You don't want to be in a position where you're relying on Sherfield to be running go in a playoff game as your primary drop threat.
