Basham reminds me of a quicker poor man’s John Randle.

Tough to pay 3 stud DEs while paying a QB 40M+. We’ll be lucky to keep 2 imo
True...a guy can dream can’t he!

If all 3 hit than we have 3 good DEs for the next 3-5 years and we can trade one for a 2nd rd pick. Not a bad problem to have. Having 3 good pass rushers + Ed would give us a dynamic pass rush. That’s the best case scenario
I say keep all three if they work out. I would maximize their talents and have them all over the field!

Just from following and watching football for many years, I have a strong sense that Rousseau will become a great player in this league. Give him a year of coaching, conditioning and lived experience...he is going to be a force.

Basham appears to have enough speed away from the line to hunt down TE's as well!

I just wanted to pop in so I can say I got into the Hayden Hurst thread at the ground floor.
Zack Ertz
Hayden Hurst
Last to first
We didn’t start the fire
I still remember the TD Hurst scored against us as a Raven! That one hurt!

Hurst is real good! He would be great for the Bills.

The eroding issue with the Patriots wasn't their drafting strategy so much as it was the accumulation of mediocre drafting. Their body of work in drafting over the years was the core reason why this team sunk. Brady recognized it and smartly used his leverage to get out of the house that had a lot of holes in the roof.
Brady had already reached a pinnacle few have achieved...winning and continued glory.

It would surprise me me at all if The Bills experiment with Stevenson on offense early on. You don’t coach those kind of moves and play speed.

Sanders isn’t a sure thing either. They are so deep at wr. If he’s lost a step and this kid has Potential who knows.
Gabe, Diggs, Beasley, Isaiah, Emmanuel, this kid, who knows about hudgens, etc
On Film he looks like a high draft pick. He will will get a chance!

Marquez Stevenson looks amazing on film anyway! I can't wait to see Allen throwing to him. Could be on to something here!

I especially like the picks of Rousseau and Basham. The Bills are reinforcing the DL with young and talented players to keep this process going, and they are nice counter moves to a suddenly improved AFCE. I believe that Espenesa will be heard from as well.

I still remember the Bills selecting Mike Williams when they could have had Ed Reed. Great guy...just did not pan out.

He has a lot of speed and tools...just kind of raw.

I was going to post that last night but fans want players they want especially shiny ones. I get that.
These picks so far is "Beane making us eat our vegetables".
Absolutely! In today's game that will not take long.

We should have drafted the guy in the red shirt behind him.
He's bigger.
Fake photo.
Oh snap!
Well sign him too! Need someone to get after Kelce!

Eventually. I think you may even see Rousseau/Boogie/Oliver/Hughes in obvious passing situations but long term I think you will see Boogie starting at that RDE spot. Rousseau is probably the starter at LDE week 1. Obviously Epenesa will be another rotational piece as well, but in the end I think Boogie will beat him out as the starter. Boogie is way more versatile and way more gifted.
Just from watching film of Basham, he appears to be all over the place running down plays and he produces turnovers...which is a good thing!

I think in Rousseau they took the higher ceiling and in Basham they took the higher floor. I won't be surprised if Basham contributes more his rookie season while Rousseau develops some pass rush moves.
Basham looks ready to play. Just his style or game seems to translate quickly.

I have issues with the pick ... but Basham was arguably the best player on the board regardless of position. He was my guess for who the bills would pick at 30.
Agreed...I was thinking Basham or Tryon.

I guess that I am in the minority, but I really like this pick even considering that they took Rousseau in round 1.
It is a great pick!
