    Bills pass D with 2+ score leads in the 2nd half has been atrocious lately. What gives?

    3rd or 4th & Long is basically our worst nightmare. Teams seem to convert these about 85% of the time.  We ALMOST get a sack, we miss tackling him by an inch and he throws a prayer ball that our TERRIBLE DBs are TOO SHORT to stop and seem to always allow a catch on.  The Vikings Jefferson 4th down catch and last year's Hail Murray are just the most memorable examples.  I just don't get it how we KEEP letting teams extend drives like this.   I walk away from the TV every time because I can't watch.

    What are your thoughts on John Murphy as our radio announcer?

    John Murphy was good as a color commentator to Van Miller.  When Van retired he took over - but he's NEVER been very good at it.  He's too stacatto and sharp and doesn't paint a picture for you on the radio the way Van used to.  Van Miller and Rick Jeanerette were masters at Radio and it's a lost art.

    YES!  Agree.  His high pitched Raspy voice was fantastic in those moments.

    We can debate the why and how all day.  I don't even care anymore.  All I know is that after 30 years, the Bills werw finally "THAT TEAM" again.  We were this good, this highly regarded back then in the early 90s; I was in my 20s and it was great being "THAT TEAM.  Or one of the top 2 or 3 teams.  And we still are; but not so much now.    Not after today.  The Miami game was being called an anomoly because of the weather.  But the TRUTH is we played  AWFUL against a hungrier Jets group who WANT to be that team.  Nope, we're not really THAT TEAM now. 

     

    Guys, we're paper tigers with a big likeable zillionaire QB who makes TV commercials and grows mustaches for photo ops whom the league has chosen to annoint as one of the  new faces.  Fine.  But let's not confuse this - we're NOT that team.  We've beaten up on bad teams.  Good teams know now Just pressure Allen, Fluster him and he'll quickly revert to Sugar High Josh who loses the ball via INTs or fumbles..  And then just run the ball on our D., eat clock and Leslie Frazier will be standing there looking stoic and Dorsely sitting upstairs trying to look calm, but boiling over.    

     

    I just can't stomach this - of thinking we're that team..... being TOLD we're that team -.... only to get our asses kicked and realize we're not.  We'll get eaten up by the pack now and be lucky if we get a Wildcard.  Miami AND the Jets beat us.  Win the Division???   Playing like this?   Nope.

    We've never found a guy who can make up for Beezers ability to consistently be that short outlet. 

    I agree.  Singletary is there, but he's always standing still when he catches the short balls.  I can't remember being this frustrated for a WHOLE game in a long time.  Starting with the INT in the red zone.  That's 2 weeks in a row he throws INT on first drive in red zone.  That's points lost.  That's the game.

    Issues on this team right now go far beyond injuries. 
     

    Allen-Dorsey-WR2 is a massive issue right now and they are all intertwined.

     

    Run Defense has been a mid-season problem for years under McD.  Good news is he usually figures it out.   Bad news, mid-season lulls are why we havent yet escape postseason games at Arrowhead. 

    Dorsey seems to be a control freak perfectionist - as evidenced by his outburst after Miami.  And that carries over into Josh's play.  One mistake builds on top of another and gets in his head.   Plus that stupid mustache.   He's reading too much of his own press.

    This was the kind of JV crap I was resigned to during SO MANY years of 8-8 seasons...- but I thought we were supposed to be a superbowl team now???  Nope.  

     

    Allen needs to stop believing all the media hype around him, shave that mustache and stop throwing INTS at the ten yard line. 

     

    Teams have figured out all you need to do is pressure him and he gets hyper and he caves.    And then just run it on our Defense and you'll win.  If Green bay weren't terrible we would've lost that game in the second half...

    This isn't how a championship teams looks or plays.  After 1st 2 games we LOOKED like a superbowl winning team.  Now we look average; maybe a top 10 team.  Yes, injuries etc.  But my HIGH expecations (and I think most other peoples) are now WAY LOWER for the season - if we keep playing like this.  Desperate and nervous.
