  1. https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/buffalo-bills-head-coach-record

Sitting in my endocrinologist office I started trying to remember all the head coaches since I moved to WNY. I remembered Jauron, Gailey, and Marone. Forgot (subliminally) about Ryan.

At the bottom the search return was a link which read 18 more 🤯 Aside from Marv Levy and Sean McDermott not a single coach lasted more than a couple of years. Holy Schnikes!

Greg Williams is 3rd with 4 seasons. Everyone else is 1-3 seasons and gone. I didn't look at other teams but dang! For Buffalo that's a head coaching change every 2.8 years.

No wonder everybody's so quick to chop heads every couple of years. Granted I know why 6 of the last 7 didn't last but still, dang!

    Wow

I think his values extremely high, and I want to capitalize on it

I'm not sure I agree with the Taron Johnson sell. He's proven to be a game changer and the Bills defense would probably take a step back. He led the team in tackles In a bizarre comparison, to me it would be like selling Milano (a la Kiko Alonso - granted Kiko isn't in the same galaxy as Milano)

I'm for selling Elam for just about anything LOL. All things being equal, however, he could learn behind Tre and even Dane Jackson and Benford.. Unfortunately the defense is not in a position to carry a CB that isn't up to snuff. I guess time will tell if Norman can pick up the slack.

I'd be looking to buy a good OL vet who can play multiple positions equally well.

It's interesting that you bring up Alex Smith. People forget how good of a year he had statistically in 2017. It was a really bold move to trade a guy that just threw for over 4,000 yards and 26 TDs with only 5 INTs to start an unproven Mahomes who was for all intents and purposes a rookie. It has obviously worked out, but it took stones at the time.

The fact that Mahomes sat behind a really good QB is in my opinion the basic difference between Patrick and Josh. What did Josh have his first season? Mr. INT, Nathan Peterman. Then Josh was just thrown into a baptism by fire.

That's not to say Mahomes isn't one of the best QBs in the league. He is. He just had a better mentor to help him on his path to the field.

On Frazier I guess "I'm taking a year off" was another smokescreen since he's with the NFL Network now. I know optics favor flash over substance but geez just be honest. Did he and McD afraid the fans would riot?

    I'll be quiet now

  4. What is the real injury to Milano? Every article I read says something different. First it was a torn MCL. Then it was a fractured/broken leg. Then it was both. Prognoses are equally scattered. Season ending; could be back before the end of the regular season

    Thanks for the clarification.

Yeah. For some reason this game seems somewhat anticlimactic...

I hear you. I don't care who wins as long as it's Philly. That's about as much as I'm willing to invest in this.

I'm so absolutely sick of hearing about the Mahomes genius from the way he plays the game to how well he adjusts his jockstrap on the sideline. 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮

  6. I haven't been around in a while. Medical and family issues.

But something occurred to me over the last few weeks and I wonder if anyone else has had the same thought:

I'm becoming strangely comfortable with all of the positive press the Bills have received over the past couple seasons.

I wasn't here for the Super Bowl years and only got on the scene after well into the drought.

Amazing to grab a guy who has conveniently dropped in the draft because of lack of need. Bills getting bpa ftw!!! Love this pick!

I'm not up on all the "current lingo" you Whippersnappers use these days so, for us dolts in the audience, what is "BPA" & "FTW"?

Also just caught a video of talking heads discussing the pick. One described Fromm as "[the Bills] just drafted the best QB coach for Josh Allen" because of his knowledge and the way he sees the game. He was also described as a football savant. As I mentioned elsewhere in this thread I'm pretty happy with the pick.

Serious question. What picks bother you and what would you suggest we do we them?

Just a bit nervous about giving up 1st round although I fully appreciate Diggs' past accomplishments and his potential for future contributions. I'm glad the Bills got him.

As stated elsewhere in this thread I'm still gunshy after the Watkins debacle.

Here’s an upside: given how much money Buffalo is spending on extensions and new contracts, and assuming that they have to pay Allen QB1 money in 2 years, won’t it be kind of fortunate that they don’t have a 1st round pick looking for top-end money 4 years from now?

Yes it is! A factor I didn't consider.
