  1. I saw someone last week in San Jose riding a bike while holding an open bottle of Modelo which he was drinking. In broad daylight.

I also saw a homeless person look through all the trash cans in a plaza to remember where he hid his open bottle of alcohol. He eventually found it and then sat concealed under a bush near the Burger King drive-thru to drink it. Then he left it there when he was done and disappeared into the bushes. This was at 4 PM on a Sunday.

  2. A reporter for the Kansas City Star is urging that Rice be cut or traded. He says, in addition to the crash, narcotics, and disregarding his victims, he left his playbook in the car.

"If those actions weren’t egregious enough, a Chiefs playbook was also left behind, according to The Star. In pro sports, a team’s playbook is sacred. Not only did Rice show disregard for public safety — he is fortunate he didn’t seriously injure someone or himself — his blatant disregard for important team documents should be a fireable offense."

That KC would host on TNF makes sense as it is usually the case,

Minor technicality: the Thursday NFL Kickoff is actually "SNF" since it is on NBC. "TNF", "SNF", and "MNF" refer the to the primetime broadcast packages awarded to the NFL's partners no matter what day the games are actually shown on.

  4. Well since this topic is being brought up the 10th billion time, this is perfect. I am in the Bay Area and am listening to sports talk radio here ad nauseam. Some of the fans are demanding Shanahan and Lynch be fired for not winning the 49ers' sixth Lombardi, especially after having the better team and being favored. So let's get those two!

  5. The Chiefs have revealed they will wear red jerseys for the Super Bowl:

    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/chiefs-unveil-uniform-choice-for-2024-super-bowl-heres-why-the-49ers-might-be-thrilled-with-the-pick/

"Chiefs unveil uniform choice for 2024 Super Bowl: Here's why the 49ers might be thrilled with the pick"

"The Chiefs will almost certainly be wearing their white pants, and if that happens, you might have deja vu. If they go with that uniform combination, there's a good chance that both teams will be wearing the same exact combo that they wore back in Super Bowl LIV, a game where Kansas City beat San Francisco 31-20.

"This will mark Kansas City's sixth trip to the NFL's biggest game and the fourth time they'll be wearing their red jersey. Here's how they've fared in each jersey color in the big game:

Chiefs in red: 2-1 (Wins over Vikings in Super Bowl IV and 49ers in Super Bowl LIV; loss to Bucs in Super Bowl LV)
Chiefs in white: 1-1 (Win over Eagles last year, loss to Packers in the first Super Bowl)"

In last year's Super Bowl, the Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35 while wearing white, which is notable, because the team wearing white has been on a HOT STREAK in the Super Bowl. Over the past 19 years, the team wearing white has gone 16-3, which is why the 49ers might be thrilled that they get to wear their road jersey. That being said, one of those three losses came in Super Bowl LIV when the 49ers were defeated by the Chiefs.

This will be the 49ers eighth time in the NFL's biggest game and they have a winning record whether they wear their red jersey or white jersey.

    49ers in red: 3-1
49ers in white: 2-1 (Only loss came to Chiefs)

Within the last few days, it has been announced 'TB12' and 'Brady', two of Tom Brady's companies will merge with Nobull athletic footwear.  Must be deflating for the other shoe companies. 🤔🤨😇

Speaking of NoBull, good brand and I see lots of people wearing NoBull in the gym, but I am not a fan. I prefer lift-specific shoes (flat for deadlift and heeled for squats). Nike and Reebok and Sabo are really good brands for those.

  7. All the other cities' teams have multiple rings:

    Detroit Red Wings - check

    Detroit Tigers - check

    Detroit Pistons - check

    Cleveland Cavaliers - check

    Cleveland Guardians - check

Only the football teams don't (well...Cleveland did win it all twice...as the "new" franchise Baltimore), as well as the Sabres. Has to be a football and/or Buffalo thing.

First Detroit and Cleveland have won undisputed major national championships. Buffalo hasn’t so I wouldn’t put Detroit and Cleveland in the same category as Buffalo. Cleveland Cavaliers won with LeBron James. Buffalo is in a category by itself. The Bills losing to Kansas City Chiefs in 1966 for the right to go to the first Super Bowl. Bob Lanier hurting his knee tripping over Villainova’s Chris Ford in 1970 when the Bonnies went to the NCAA Basketball Tournament Final Four. The Sabres losing in the Stanley Cup finals in 1975 and 1999. The Bills Joe Ferguson hurting his ankle costing the 1980 Bills team against the San Diego Chargers. The 1990’s Bills four Super Bowl losses, 13 seconds and now Wide Right we are in a catagory by ourselves. I don’t believe in curses Buffalo just didn’t get it done maybe next season in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

Don't forget the Music City Mircale.
