Beane just got done talking to media...says the McCoy release was last minute and only made after they felt Singletary was ready..they tried trading him but no-one wanted him..they decided to let him go so he could pick his own new team

only thing I can think of is that Sills had many teams trying to sign him after the draft...maybe Beane wants to try to trade him to one of those teams?..lol..other then that, not sure
