Funny...a lot of the narrative today in sports coverage is about the Vikings losing...almost no discussion about how well Allen and the D played, just about Cousins, his contract, the Vikings losing to a team while so favored, etc.

I remember when the Bills were good way back in the 90's and they would lose a game like this, the talk was similar.  It's just the way it is...

  2. The two most important goals for this season are to see true development of Allen at QB while getting high draft selections to rebuild the OL, WR & RB positions with young talent.  For the later, the more loses you have, generally the better talent you will be able to select come draft time.  What's more important, a few more wins to a losing season or better players for the future?

Hope to never see it again. Learn to slide Kid. Thing that kills the goal of this season (Allen’s Growth) is a Jimmy G torn ACL.

Also always get scared with the Horse Collar tackle and in back to back games Allen has taken one.

I hope to never see it again either, but, if he did slide, the Bills are punting.

I can't blame the defenders for being salty.

I agree, the game table is being slanted away from their side, it's not fair.    Also, Clay Matthews is being victimized by this league, though I hope next week he's not even given the opportunity, don't need to see him taking it out on Allen.

Right now, defenders must feel like public enemy #1 in the eyes of the NFL, not a good scenario.  I think a lot because of the CTE stuff, which iirc it has been shown that there is no correlation between concussions and CTE, it's more of the accumulation of micro hits to the head during all aspects of the game as opposed to the big hits.

I'm hoping some of our guys who played will way in here, but I think you got it exactly.  It is seen as disrespect of the defender from a QB that has extra protection from defenders on every play.

Several announcers who played defense mentioned Barr gonna get worked over in the Film room today.  It's bad enough that he's also the defender Allen easily outran for his 15 yd TD dive.

I even cringe a bit when I see a QB try to make a move on the sidelines to get a few more inches.  I can see how it would feel almost like taunting to the defender due to all the QB protections from the league.

-Will Allen be a fool and try to hurdle Clay Matthews, in which case he'll be dredging for his man-parts in Lake Winnebago?

I listened to a lot of interviews after the game.  I found it very interesting that a few of the Bills' defensive players mentioning that Allen should never do that again.  Being defensive players, I'm kind of wondering if that type of move is seen as a slight to the defender, and if tried again it means there goes the man parts, personal foul penalty be damned.

You kind of tipped your hand with phrases like "Buffalo Buffoons" and "McClappity."

I'll never understand why it's so hard for some fans to let other fans enjoy a win without trying to remind everyone that misery is right around the corner again. At least wait until Tuesday, y'know?

Hmm, not looking to snuff out others' enjoyment,  but it's a free country with free speech.  Everyone has a take, whether positive or negative, both "sides" have to put up with one another after wins & loses.  It's a marriage of sorts, get over it I guess.

And the Buffalo Buffoons was my interpretation of what I believe the media saw in the offseason and the first 2 games from the franchise.

McClappity, yeah, I don't like McDermott.

Rosen is gonna be the bust of the class along with Jackson, he just doen't seem to have a NFL QB temperament.

I wanted him over Allen on draft night, but I know more about him now.  He seems like a guy who will always blame others on the team for his failings.  His weird snicker after the INT yesterday was, odd.

  9. I think what will happen is what always happens.  Pats will find their legs eventually, then they will lay waste to the rest of the AFCE and no other team in the division will be there when the games really matter.

Brady is not done until he's off doing something other than football.

As individuals, no, we're (mostly) not schitzo but the subject is the fan base as a whole - and that is two very vocal, distinct and opposite personalities week to week.  This fan base is schizophrenic.  No comment on other cities as I don't read their fan forums.

I thin OBD just needs to put some antidepressants in the beer lines is all and so clip any extreme emotions right at the root.

I'm wondering if we are the only fan base that has this "issue", I suspect we're not.
