  1. I believe Beane's top priority is WR-1A then DE-1B. depends on what talent is available in FA. Our offense needs to get better. It obviously was better than 2018 but we need more talent on that side of the ball. Big time playmakers, if we want to see the offense step up from mediocrity to good. If they want to give Josh the best opportunity to succeed they need more talent on offense.

  2. I think the biggest difference between the two major sports is that Baseball has worked really hard over the years to maintain the integrity of the game. They haven't always been successful but they at least made the attempt. The NFL has barely made an attempt to acknowledge the problems within the league, let alone fix them. IMO baseball seems to still be about the game, where as the NFL is about business and entertainment and less about the integrity of the game.

  3. I am glad that Daboll will be working with JA next season. Getting rid of Daboll at this stage of Josh's development would either set him back years or completely destroy his career all together. Next season is pretty much a make or break year for our young QB. He needs all the continuity and consistency he can get, to go along with an infusion of talent on the offensive side of the ball. You can't draft a player 7th overall and then continue to keep making excuses for him when he underperforms on the field. I am already fired up about next season. I am extremely confident with higher expectations, Josh will perform at a fantastic level as will our offense. With the way our defense played this year if our offense can increase their production we will not only be fun to watch. The team will be highly successful as well.

    We all knew “the process”..

Getting Josh playmakers was always going to be this offseason.

I have faith Beane comes through.

....:but man, do I have a bad taste in my mouth for the play of our WRs after watching these playoffs.  It couldn’t be more obvious that we need 1, probably 2, upgrades at WR.

I'm with you. Without having to create an entirely competent offense this offseason it will be interesting to see how Beane handles business and what talent he can surround Josh with.

  5. With a more challenging schedule next year, the article isn't wrong. However, I am not sure that Josh will survive a "step-back" season like Mitch apparently has. I am all in on Josh. I think he is our answer. But he needs to continue to grow and develop.

We can absolutely have as good as if not a better season than we had last season. But it all rests on Josh and his decision making and ability to handle pressure. He needs to demonstrate consistently he is the reason we are winning. Our offense needs to ROLL!

  6. I have always been a sucker for the "underdog". The fact that the Titans are a #6 seed and beat the Patriots in Foxboro, Protecting The Bill's record of winning 4 straight conference titles, then shutting up Jackson and the Ravens, while doing it ol' school, by running the ball down their throats and playing nasty defense. Makes them easy to root for. Besides Tannehill looks like a solid game manager when Gase isn't his coach. Really speaks volumes about Gase IMO.

I know their HC is a former Patriot and I haven't forgotten the "Music city miracle", but watching a small market team go into the playoffs and make all the professional "experts" react like Regan in The Exorcist, warms the cockles of my heart.

You can't hold QB's like Watson down forever. Another reason why when you have the opportunity to step on a teams throat, you gotta go for it.

All it takes is one play...fooled in coverage, missed tackle, penalty, etc.

Watson eventually broke through and made plays. Less than 20 points isn't gonna cut it against a playmaker like Watson...it's just not.

I get it. But we had 5 sacks in the first half and their offense wasn't moving the ball at all. In the 2nd half  we only had 2 sacks and Watson had all kinds of time to throw. Why? Did the Texans o-line suddenly get better? or Did McDermott determine he needed to change the defensive philosophy in the 2nd half? How can we score a TD on the opening drive the first 3 minutes of the game and not another one the entire game?
