I don’t want to put the cart before the horse, but I have a feeling some individuals at One Bills Drive reads this board and pulls some info from here. Maybe not coaches, but people close with decision makers.

I highly doubt Brandon Beane is sitting down in McDermott's office saying ... "Hey Coach, SchlongSteve from TwoBillsDrive says we should do XYZ in certain situations...what are your thoughts on the matter?"

  2. Not burned out, just disappointed with this team. Disappointed with the wasted talent, and disappointed with the constant coaching blunders. I cannot get excited for this team anymore this year if/until the proverbial "stars align" and somehow they run the table to make the playoffs. Maybe at that point they'll be the hottest team in the league. Even beating if they beat the Chiefs, I'll still be like "that's nice", even that win won't drum up much excitement. And part of the problem is, knowing this team we could win out the next 4 games in epic fashion, and pull a "McDermott" in the season finale against the Dolphins and lose in the last second of a "win and your in-game". I cannot get excited for this team unless they make the playoffs which is a long shot, stuff is falling into place they allows a path to get there, but we still have the ultimate Joker card at the helm, ready to pull the rug out from under this team. And that is McDermott.

  3. I like what he has shown so far in terms of recruiting. SU fans like myself have noticed the string of 4-start recruits, and transfers from big-named schools, who have decided to have official visits these upcoming weekends. Now just need pen to paper.

    LOL.

    You think this will stop?

Going to 12 will just move goal posts about who deserved to get in.

I agree to an extent, but we won't be arguing/discussing whether the GA's, UA's, FSU's, OSU's, Oregon's should get the last spot. It will be whom among the Louisville's, ND's, Arizona's and LSU's (using this year as an example) should get #10, #11, #12.

Honestly if an undefeated team in a high end conference gets summarily eliminated for any of a long list of dubious excuses, why not simply eliminate any type of playoff at all and go back to the bowl system?  It’s a farce.  Why wouldn’t they just tell 95% of the teams in August……you’re eliminated?  Because they are.

The injury reasoning is stupid and borderline dangerous.  What happens if someone walks into Milroe’s dorm room this morning and goes all Tonya Harding?

IDK boss, I do not make the rules, nor am I on the selection committee. Your clapping back at the wrong person lol.  I am just stating the "Powers that be" put a tiny little wrinkle in the selection process that includes injuries to key players will be considered if needed. Would you say QB is not a key position? I'm just stating how I feel it will play out. Like I said, I like FSU, I have a rooting interest in FSU, I do not like Alabama and I would be happy if they were not in.

New strategy:  injure players on the other team to eliminate them.  That sounds like a good way to run a system for a team sport.  Or maybe just another in a long line of excuses to hand it to Alabama.

It's unfortunate. I feel for the FSU players. That defense is great. At the end of the day that is probably what it will come down to. Nothing would make me feel better than to see Alabama excluded from the CFP. I saw a post online where one key aspect of the selection committee in deciding this CFP was the loss of key player(s), and FSU's offense was pretty shaky with the fresh QB, so ultimately I think they'll be excluded for that reason.
