-Only 9 of Josh's interceptions came in the 6 Bills' losses. So, he threw an average of 1.5 INTs in the Bills' losses (none in the 4th quarter).

-Nine of Josh's INTs came in wins (so, they obviously didn't affect the outcome of those games).

-Only in three of the Bills' losses did Josh throw more than 1 pick (2 in each of those three games). Having one pick in a game isn't usually the deciding factor, unless it is at the wrong point in the game (which it wasn't for Josh). So, at best, you could say Josh's interceptions affected 3 games this year. But again, outside of the Jets game on opening day, Josh still had the team in position to win those games (the defense just didn't hold).

In Baltimore's three losses, Jackson has thrown three interceptions. So, 1 per game (not that different than 1.5).

And since you brought up former MVP stats (INTs in your post), let's look at MVP TDs. Here are the TD totals for the last 10 MVPs

     Year   Player        Total TDs

    2022   Mahomes     45

    2021   Rodgers        40

    2020  Rodgers         51

    2019  Jackson         43

    2018  Mahomes       52

    2017  Brady              32

    2016  Ryan               38

    2015  Newton          45

    2014  Rodgers         40

    2013  Manning         56

    2023 Jackson          29

    2023 Allen               44

So, you can say no MVP has had as many INTs as Josh in the last 10 years, but you can also say that no MVP had as low of a touchdown total as Jackson in the last 10 years. Why are Josh's INTs an issue, but Lamar's low TD total isn't? Especially when TDs are 7 points each time, while INTs may turn into 7 points, but maybe only 3 points, or zero points if the defense holds. So, TDs still outweigh INTs. Brady in 2017 is the only one close to Lamar's low TD total, but he had 900 more passing yards in 2017 than Jackson did this year. Even if you add in rushing, Brady still had more than 110 yards more than Lamar, 3 more TDs, and one less INT. Every other MVP had anywhere from 9 to 27 more TDs than 2023 Lamar. Do you know what the average TD total is for the last 10 MVPs? It is 44.2 TDs. Right where Josh is at (44) and 15 more TDs than Jackson this year. Even in Jackson's 2019 MVP season, he had 14 more TDs than he has this year.

Like someone said in another thread.  Replace Allen's name with Mahomes with 29 Passing/15 Rushing TDs and he would be the MVP.

It honestly impresses me that the scouts could see through the stats, over throws, etc.

Because they are scouts and not arm chair GMs who constantly get their scouting news from the TBD wanna-be General Managers and pundits out to make a name for themselves.

Josh Allen wasn't great in college, and a lot of toolsy QB's who are gigantic and look the part get overdrafted and suck.

Such a BS lazy take.  If he wasn’t great, why after the 2017 draft was Allen regarded as the potential first pick in the next draft?

    https://www.denverpost.com/2018/01/18/nfl-draft-2018-josh-allen-quarterback/amp/

“When the 2017 NFL draft ended, ESPN’s Adam Schefter, relaying information he had gathered from an anonymous team’s personnel director, predicted Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen would be the first player selected in the 2018 draft.”

His 2017 year wasn’t as good as 2016, because he had new O-line and skill players (WR, RB, and TE) who hardly played or never played with him before, then he got hurt at Air Force and missed a few games where Wyoming got destroyed by like the worst teams in the conference.  Wyoming is not Alabama or Oklahoma where every year they have blue chip players.  Bottom line, Wyoming sucked before he took over.  They were 2-10 in 2015 and 15-33 over the 4-years prior.  He took Wyoming to two straight bowl games before the draft.

You don’t do that because you weren’t great in college.  You have to have some context.

BTW did you see some of the amazing catches by WR's this past weekend?  Sure there were a couple of drops by one guy but man I saw a number of catches that were breathtaking.  Think about the three incomplete passes on deep balls:  one to Sherfield, one to Harty (I think) and one to Diggs.  Only the Harty miss where he laid out for the ball would have required a catch like we saw this weekend.  The simple fact is that week in and week out we seldom saw elite, spectacular caches by our receivers.

Disagree.  Beyond Diggs, Allen does not have an above average skill player.  Now I do believe that Cook, Kincaid & Shakir have the POTENTIAL next year to move into the top tiers of play makers but they're not in that company at the present time.

And Diggs doesn't come close to matching Kelsey in the playoffs.  The other thing the Chiefs had was a much better D.

Haters gonna hate; do you ever see any positive posts from these same people or ever see them show up after a win?  Yeah, me either.

How did we not make a Super Bowl:

    - second in wins

    - 5th in points/ game

    - 1st in points allowed/ game

    - 3rd in first downs

    - 2nd in 3rd down conversion %

honestly, I have absolutely loved this ride. To have an amazing qb where playoffs are a given every year is such an amazing feeling. But man, a team with that resume should have made more than one championship game. 😢

just wanted to bum everyone out on a Saturday morning.

Well, at least your other favorite team still has a chance tomorrow!

According to your flawed logic Farve, Manning, Marino, Elway, Kelly, Roethlisberger, Brees, Brady etc shouldn't be or headed to HOF, because turnovers.

Not all turnovers are created equal nor do all turnovers turn into opponent points. Yet running and passing TDs all count.

As i've said numerous times all the QBs have roughly the same amout of turnovers, it's not like Josh has 35 of them and Lamar has 10 of them, that's a big noticable difference. When the difference is 10-12 range and everybody is within the same metric it isn't a big deal and the only people who think it's a big deal are pure haters looking for reasons to hate.

Truely is amazing the hate Josh gets being the best QB in the league. Go root for a different team as you surely seem to not appreciate what Josh does and only want to rag on his "turnovers".

Even if Josh had similar turnovers to Lamar, he wouldn't win anyway.   Remember in 2021 when Lamar was a Pro Bowler with a combined 3649/18 TDS and Josh was snubbed with a combined 5170/42TDs.  No different today.

Lies!  Lamar had 43 TDs to 8 total turnovers in 2019 with 1,200 yards on the ground.

Show me 4 Allen seasons better than that.

Lamar certainly has less turnovers, but offensively, I'd would argue Josh, stat wise is just as good if not better.

Lamar Jackson 2019 MVP Season = 4333 combined total yards and 43 combined TDs

                               2023 Season = 4499/29TDs (sat final game)*

    Josh Allen  2020 (4965/45 TDs), 2021 (5170/42 TDs), 2022 (5045/42 TDs), 2023 (4830/44 TDs).

Josh scores a TD there and we lose. Mahomes beat us with 13 seconds and a far stronger defense.  He would have had a 1:45 and a pile of timeouts.

You're probably right based on how the defense played that night.  However, just food for thought, the last two times we played the Chiefs (in KC) we had the lead and Mahomes threw an interception to lose in 2022 and turnover on downs in 2023.  Nothing is guaranteed.

How Mike Martz and The Greatest Show on Turf kicked off an NFL revolution

    https://www.si.com/nfl/2017/05/23/rams-greatest-show-on-turf-mike-martz-dick-vermeil

Let’s be honest,” Warner says, “we had a collection of talent that was ridiculous.”...The process started by retaining Isaac Bruce, a second round pick for the Rams in 1994. It involved the prescient and serendipitous signing of Kurt Warner in ’98, a grocer at the local Hy-Vee in Cedar Falls, Iowa just four years prior, as third-string quarterback. That preceded the unheralded drafting of speedy Az-Zahir Hakim in the fourth round of the ’98 draft, and the free agent pick up of crafty veteran Ricky Proehl that same year. It was officially set in motion with the heist of Marshall Faulk, in a trade from the Colts as a result of a contract dispute; and it culminated with the selection of Torry Holt with the sixth pick in ‘99.  It was also a collection of talent that all possessed a rare quality, an ineffable quality, a borderline cliché quality, that allowed the Coryell system to operate at a level of efficiency and efficacy that had never before been seen: high football IQ

Bottom-Line, this team, in my opinion, is lacking in the "Ridiculous Collection of Talent" at the WR position to master any offensive system.  We have a decent core with Allen, Cook (if he can improve his pass catching), Kincaid, Diggs, and Shakir.  But we need two more WRs who are high IQ, fast, tall, and compliment each other.  Davis was decent, but he was limited.  I think his best role was as a #4 vice #2.  Our WRs who best appeared synchronized as a group was the 2021 above-average core of Diggs, Sanders, Beasley, and Davis (with Sanders & Beasley at the end of their careers).  We need two studs to go along with Diggs and Shakir, with one of those kids eventually taking over for Diggs in a year or two.

Depends on if they can slow/contain their running game.  I agree if Baltimore is able to run and control the clock.  That’s their strength.
