  1. Because of no matter how cheap your salary is your employer will no longer be able to afford you. It will not be just you but many many people across the globe. It's going to be a domino effect. Parts to service vehicles such as pickup trucks are very very scarce. Many people depend on a pickup truck for their business and cannot afford to be without one. They will not be able to pay planned income taxes because their revenue will be greatly reduced. Reduced revenue intake will create layoffs fro government workers. You can't out run this. Come down from your elitist tower and look at what is going on.
  2. It won't matter as certain sectors of the economy are very wobbly. I'm waiting for a tree service because he can't get parts for a key piece of equipment. The supply chain in agriculture is fractured. Another poor crop year will only hike commodity prices. Things are far far from being alright if somebody is willing to come down to the ground level from their ivory tower. It never hurts to have a backup plan. Where do I leave your canned goods that you will need this winter?
  3. As the economy implodes the liberals will have the choice to adapt to the standards of their ancestors or perish.
  4. You shovel chit a vast majority of the time while on this board. The cow manure smell would be less offensive. If the economy jumps the tracks at some point in the near future due to all the screwing around from COVID things might reduce down to basic functions like growing vegetables and cutting wood. Surely, you learned that manure is good for growing most vegetables (tomatoes like very minimal nitrates).
  5. All work is honorable and I would use a skid steer loader. You?
  6. OK, mods deleting other posts but a post not relative to Levi's is left to stand? How many threads are needed to bash Trump?
  7. Keep whining .....says the guy who ... keeps whining.
  8. I'm sorry that you feel threatened by my presence here.
  9. I think that Tiberius would do well shoveling chit on a WNY dairy farm (for the ones that are still left).
  10. It's true and please stay on topic for this thread. You have plenty of threads for Trump bashing but I know it gets lonely there as nobody pays attention to you. Please restrict your comments here to Levi's.
  11. Not at all but you keep thinking that way if it makes you feel safe from guys that can out lift you when it comes to weights. The left under goes more marketing blitz on average. The Democrat Party making you afraid of Trump is yet another example of slick dishonest marketing. Not only are you whipped when it comes to attempting self thought but you are a willing puppet. Please do not bother me with any more of your nonsense.
  12. At some point quality enters the discussion when talking about cars or trucks. If it breaks down all the time all the tie-ins with green loving Libs is not going to sell a car. Clothing producers namely those that produce clothing made from denim have successfully played the consumer for suckers with slick marketing with the bottom line of getting consumers to pay more for less.
  13. Just a high level of irony when looking back over the decades. Denim was pitched to the masses as a cloth that "freed you" from being a "tool." Very few figured out that they became a tool to a different overlord. I've seen the marketing analysis. Just build a certain culture around it and people will eat it up with a smile on their face even if it makes no sense when you analyze it.
  14. Their clothes do not last long and unless they start putting more material into things that is not changing. All that aside Levi's is making a baseless pitch to the woke crowd.
  15. We are talking Levi's and not Chevy's. Levi's is not the quality that it was up to the early 1990's. Do you actually read what others write here? The amount of cotton used in a square foot of denim has gradually declined for Levi's over the last few decades. The amount of cotton used per square foot is the key measure of durability for cotton based clothing. I stopped buying Levi's many years ago because they would not hold up unlike their products made a few decades ago. Most of today's denim is paper thin compared to their older counterparts from decades ago unless you are buying expressly a work line of product such as Carhartt which is not what it was itself. As I said early on selling denim is the result of an intense marketing campaign by manufacturers. They have successfully gotten the consumer to buy less but pay more for a given product. Knowing that I have very little denim in my wardrobe any more.
  16. You're a sorry piece of work but there is no reasoning with you on this.
  17. Levi's gambling on people thinking that Levi's has the quality of a couple of generations ago? They are not fooling me, anyways.
  18. Levi's wants the market share they had during the 1970's when they could be all things to all people except screwballs and old people. Not going to happen. There is never going to be the "team" feel like there was in 1978 and go to school or a concert and see an entire crowd outfitted in Levi's.
  19. As said Levi's was probably sagging with the woke crowd thus this marketing pitch. Good marketing as you say but not much more than that.
  20. You would not know that by looking by most Americans including those in Western New York. Most people look ridiculous but that has more to do with style versus their clothes being made from denim. That being said denim does not go with every other type of clothing nor all occasions. Under stated works best and is a style I go with on an everyday basis.
  21. Since you know how to navigate the net then you know how to find Levi's among other things. Levi's still can be found at a number of brick and mortar outlets including outlet malls. You could be in a pair of Levi's by sundown unless you are out in the desert.
  22. No pair of jeans last forever but a couple of generations ago Levi's would be quite durable compared to other brands and types of clothes. But Levi's succumbed to profiteering just like any other brand of clothing telling consumers that crap in the form of style (belt sander jeans) was the way to go.
  23. Unless Levi's has come up with a new way to weave or treat cotton they will be the same shoddy merchandise that they have been for a couple of decades now. Used to be durability was measured in ounces of cotton per square foot of fabric. The amount of cotton per square foot in a pair of jeans has been going steadily down for decades now.
  24. Every time they buy a product made in this country. Used to be Levi's when they were made in the US.
