I completely disagree.  The NFL has the shortest careers. These guys want money and then they want to win.  Besides Suh, who they paid a ton of money to, who has Miami gotten?  We got Mario who was the top FA in his class.  They all live in Florida and California in the offseason anyways.

I can prove points by cherry picking examples too. I don’t have the time or drive for that.

If you think all things (money) being even an absurdly large percentage of young millionaires don’t choose Miami over Green Bay or Buffalo you’re either incredibly myopic with little life experience, a Buffalo homer, or you haven’t visited Miami (with loads of disposable cash) or Wisconsin.

They also got rid of a lot of the talent.

Must be why Miami is awesome every year and always gets top FAs. Oh wait, that doesn't happen at all.

I shouldn’t have to explain this a grown man but that comes down to the front office and what they’re looking for and willing to spend.

If Green Bay is offering the same amount of money to a FA as Miami you’d better believe they’re picking Miami.

  3. People put too much stock into this. Just face it, we’re a cold weather, small market team. That isn’t very attractive to 20 something year old millionaires.

They’d prefer Miami over Green Bay. It’s just the way it is.

Luckily we we have a billionaire owner that seems to be very good at selling people on the idea of Buffalo.

If you’re going to be an undesirable location, you need a good hype man, or a lot of money. Pegs is both.

Honestly, I don't need cheer leaders, OR a drumline to enjoy the games at the stadium.  Or most of the other stuff that passes for "in game entertainment" these days.  When I first started going to games they didn't have the jumbotron.  They had a scoreboard that showed game information and the occasional black and yellow replay.  Fans had to pay attention or they would miss something so they were much more involved in the game. (and louder because of it).

Maybe the NFL should think about the weekend teams wear their throwback jerseys REALLY being a throwback type game without all the extra in stadium nonsense.  I'd love to see it happen.

I don’t think anyone “needs” any other entertainment except the game but why limit the amount of entertainment you’re getting for the price of admission?

Do i I care if the Jills came back, no. If they got rid of the drums would I stop going, no.

But just because I don’t care for it doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its merit.

Should we get rid of all gps and mapping functions on an iPhone because I don’t use it? You know the answer to that.

It’s a silly thing to imagine that because you’re not interested in something it could/should go away. A bit egomaniacal even.

Disagree O'Leary has been a disappointment.  He was a sixth round pick so the expectations shouldnt have been high to begin with, but I think he was more than adequate as a 2nd tight end last year.

Agree. On no plane of existence was O'Leary disappointing. He may not knock your hair back, but he overperformed all reasonable expectations.

Its a bit difficult to judge what we have receiving wise. Only rarely did we ever see a receiver given a chance to make a play or catch the ball with room to work. Hard to know exactly what we have.

I don't think the OP was that far off and I get his point.

Brees losing by 17 at half.  Makes a game leading TD and a Field goal drive.  What else was he supposed to do? I bet ya he would have tackled better than that loser out there at the end!

Everyone gets the point he was trying to make.

The problem is how epically he failed whilst doing it.

Brees  > Keenum, did it even have to be said? Seems fairly obvious to a person with reasonable intelligence.

Sure he did with the specific team.

Not the concept and really the point

So did you ignore the part of my post that said I agree about getting a qb.

Man, you're really bad at this.

You're failing as much as the original poster.

So you agree he spoke too soon? Because you seem to be running in circles trying to back track.

Youre going to to be immortalized in an all time flame thread on the wrong side.
