Beane has been historically terrible with second round picks. Outside of cook and Torrence, he’s been pretty awful in the round. I’m good with the trade. Especially if they can open up a bunch of cap space for him once they add him. Don’t really care about the 2 for 5 pick swap.

As opposed to our other available options? No question who I’d choose. Every time I watch a giants game (which, admittedly isn’t as much as your son) the guy flashes. Especially that game here a couple years ago where they almost beat us. Thorn in the side all game.
Now, is he older and not the same guy I’ve seen? Sure, that’s possible, but the giants were terrible. I’d be willing to roll the dice on him if it’s a reasonable short term deal. Captain, solid production. Going into age 30 season, he should have some left.

He'll be 30 when the season starts and was PFF's #56 graded LB. If we want a baseline vet option and he comes relatively cheap I'd be okay with it.

McD is gone, but I’d be surprised if Beane’s philosophy is altered much at center. He really values that position (i.e., Wood extension, Morse big money FA, and McGovern), so I’d be surprised if they don’t have a good plan there. McGovern and Edwards may both be gone, but, of the two, I think McGovern has the higher likelihood of coming back. If not, they are grabbing someone to at least challenge SedVanPanGran. I’m not a fan of Anderson at center. I’m good with him at guard though.

Maybe it’s a radio requirement thing (or maybe one of the new FM stations is more popular than the other), but the OCD in me with respect to when they announce the new FM stations is driving me insane. “WGR AM 550 and now on 107.7 and 104.7 FM”. Makes no sense to me why they would switch the order of how they announce the FM stations (i.e., doesn’t it make more sense to list 104.7 before 107.7). Again, it also makes no sense why I care. It’s stupid that it bothers me, but it does. It really is true that people will complain about anything. 😝
