If Lions go 0-16-1, how much of that stench actually sticks to Campbell? All you hear about from the talking heads is how good he’s doing. In his defense, they have a terrible roster, but guys have lost their job for less. I don’t think he gets fired because they’ve been competitive and losing close games, but boy it’s gotta be tough motivating the team in year 2 having gone winless.

Yes, referring to his time at NC State. I know baseball factored into that decision to some degree, but still. A lot of times in this game measurables and potential are fools gold.

I could definitely see all 3 backs up. Especially if Gilliam is out. Makes a lot of sense if the weather is ***** where running will be essential. He’s our hardest runner even if he’s slow. Even in that scenario, Moss would be #3 for me with limited touches.

Not a shot at you Doc, but this whole Belichick praise thing is so stupid to me. Every year we go through this. Do the players sit around thinking “he likes me!” to lull them into a false sense of accomplishment? Yeah, he is a great coach. Highly accomplished. Great. Who gives a f*** what he thinks about Josh? Josh, the Bills, or the fan base doesn’t need his validation or approval. He can piss off with that.

I could be completely wrong here, but I don’t worry about Josh just taking what the defense gives him against a Belly defense. If you recall, this is the team where Josh had that really bad interception game earlier in his career and had an epiphany about trying to do too much. I don’t know whether it results in a win or not, but I think Josh knows (and McD, Daboll, and Dorsey will drill him on it) to take what’s there against this team.

It’ll be interesting to see what game plan Daboll comes up with for this one. Im sure he’ll have a wrinkle in the tank like when they played the Chiefs (not that exact game plan, but the wrinkles). I just hope he doesn’t overthink it.

He probably sees it as an opportunity to actually see the field. Daniel Jones is close to bust status, if not already there. Yeah, he could’ve stayed on with a chance to develop into the long term backup here, but there was no guarantee. After riding the unathletic Matt Barkley train for a few years, I think think the Bills prefer an athletic profile more similar to Josh’s traits holding the clipboard so they don’t have to change everything if they need to use him. Which Jake Fromm is clearly not.

This. The stench of that jags loss and the manner with which we got handled at home by the Colts is what turned the public perception and narrative on the Bills. They were darlings all off season and much of the beginning of the year. Bills can flip that back with a win on Monday. Personally, I want to see the offense firing like we saw in that Tennessee game. We’ve had good offensive games since then, but I don’t think any of us have had the pleasure of seeing how capable this offense really is when hitting on all cylinders very often this year.

I used to be a Collinsworth defender, but that Chiefs game earlier this year completely turned me off on the guy.

I hear ya. Personally, I think Groot will be fine the more experience he gets. I don’t know that it means routine 10 sack guy production, but I think he’ll get his share. Time will tell, and like you, I’m hoping he pans out and excels with continued development and opportunity.
