  1. I think Tolbert has done a good job.

Tolbert isn't someone who can take over the load when Mccoy gets hurt which happens every year. This offseason they should look for Mccoy's eventual replacement and a guy that can split the load with him if he is on the roster next season. Tolbert is not a guy who can split the load. Tolbert is not a running mate

  2. While Mcvay and Pederson will certainly be in the consideration, I think it's gotta go to McDermott considering that we were supposed to be "tanking." Also, there isn't a ton of talent on this team, yet the system works and the coaching staff has been great. Young/no name players have stepped up at many positions. I give a hats off to McDermott for that.

  3. Wow, snark much? You assume McCoy is even on the team next year. That's cute. As you said, he's 30, has a high contract and will start to decline before you know it. His "potential replacement" isn't on the roster for a reason. RBs have a shorter shelf life thank a carton of milk.

But hey, at least your reply was so cutting and original. You managed a reading comprehension quip. You must be at the top of your 9th grade class.

I think you made my point for me. There's no replacement/running mate for Mccoy on the roster. Thank you

  4. Wideout is not an important position on this team to waste both draft picks and take on that big a salary. Do people not understand they are trying to clear cap space for small contract players because we are a system franchise now? Find players that fit the system. A high salary WR doesn't fit this system, sorry

  5. Tolbert has been more than adequate in his role. I really don't get why everyone is stuck on the opinion that he needs to be upgraded. He's a 3-8 carry a game type guy. He can move a pile and punish tacklers. And by the way...he's very underrated as a pass catcher.

Notice how I said it should be addressed in the offseason? Didn't read well did we? Buffalo needs a guy who can rush 10-15 times next to Mccoy not 3-8 going into next year. He's 30. Tolbert is also old and not a potential replacement. Please read before commenting

  6. Your comparison of Tyrod to Trent Edwards is shameful. He may not throw for 300 yards a game but doing so doesn't make a QB a winner. He is doing exactly what is asked of him. To not turn it over and extend drives with his legs. He made some very good throws that extended drives today and his touchdown throw was beautiful. Buffalo doesn't need him to put up all the numbers because they have the run game and the defense. Tyrod has been smart as the QB. Comparing him to Edwards is simply lazy

  7. I think you are just used to the coaching staff not being able to make adjustments. Well now our coaching staff seems to be able to do so. After the bye, Shady has two solid rushing performances and the o-line looks better. There has been better protection for Taylor of later too. The team is learning itself and figuring out what works. Don't know what you're looking at but this is how I see things. Teams/players can actually improve throughout a season. I believe that's what our o-line and run game is doing.

  8. I think this has become obvious to some this year. A big back who can take some of the load off of Mccoy might extend his career and improve his efficiency. Tolbert is just a stop gap guy. This should be addressed in the offseason. I believe this is a bigger need than some people think it is. It'll keep Mccoy's legs fresh, plus this draft class is loaded with good backs.

  9. I've been following McBean's career for some time and I can tell you, he's a loser. McDermott is a good coach but McBean's a terrible personnel guy.

You guys can cheer about 5-2 all you want, but if we had a real GM we'd be 6-0 right now, believe me.

Nothing will satisfy you will it? Winning, our rookies are playing a lot of time at different spots and our recently signed secondary has been strong forcing turnovers. We have gained a ton of draft picks and cut some of the fat on this team to clear cap space for this offseason to bring in guys that fit the system. Bills are playing well with little top flight talent and yet you're not happy. Keep crying man, wow.

  10.

Now that we know the front office is willing to move anyone at any time, who's getting the boot in the offseason? Right now I have...

Lorenzo Alexander-Just doesn't fit the scheme well enough. Is more of an outside linebacker in a 3-4 scheme who excels at rushing the passer, not dropping back into coverage like he's asked to do in McDermott's scheme.

Preston Brown-Much like Zo, not a fast enough linebacker for this scheme. I think McDermott will find his leader of the defense in the draft and replace Brown who is in the last year of his contract anyway.

Adolphus Washington-Another player who has gotten into some trouble in the offseason and under-performed on the field. Was picked for Rex's defense, think he will be shown the door as well.

Jordan Mills-Just needs to be replaces cuz he sucks. Hopefully, Dawkins or Henderson can replace him soon.

Jerry Hughes-Could potentially be the next big name to leave I believe. Large contract, solid player but who knows if his attitude/performance is enough to convince the new staff he can wreak havoc at one of the end spots. How he plays the rest of the season will decide this I believe.

Lesean Mccoy-With all of the draft picks we have and a runningback rich class, Buffalo should take a back somewhat early in this draft. Mccoy has a large contract and is approaching 30. Could they try to get something out of him after the season is over? Could be something to keep an eye on. He was dumped once by Philadelphia, could it happen again to him? With the impact rookie RBs have made, his production could be replaced.

I'm sure there are more players I'm missing but these are some of the players that stick out to me that may be moved during the offseason because they may not quite fit into the schemes/future plans here. Thoughts?

    -----------------

    1. Zo will likely be gone. Vet presence, solid character and leadership main reason he's here. Not a "scheme" fit but a competent LB nonetheless. Too old moving forward.

    2. Brown is a toss up IMO. He's a FA who obviously won't be tagged. Not a stud but like Zo, competent and is hardly ever injured which is important. What's his price tag?

    3. Washington, again a toss up. If no improvement shown he may be gone. Easy rookie contract if McD finds him to be a player of use.

    4. Mills? LOL, next!!

    5. Hughes? You must be looking at him from a contract perspective because he's quite possibly our best DLineman having a great probowl year for a fair price.

    6. Shady? Maybe traded if a great offer is presented. Still plays at a high level when O line is on point. He seems to have bought in so I think he goes nowhere.

I believe Hughes should stay, was just saying he might be shown the door because of his past attitude and penalty issues but he seems to have turned that around this year. Like I said, the rest of the year could determine if he is a player for the future of this team.

  11. sign him early. Don't expect to fill the starting spot. If the opportunity comes to upgrade, upgrade. Draft BPA. Hope for the best

I think McDermott will have MLB as a high priority this offseason as it is an essential part of his scheme. With all the picks we have, it most certainly can be addressed. I think Brown will command too much for a back up role. Just my take. Not willing to sign him for 3-4 million dollars a year.

  13. I read this and thought it had to be a joke. I don't care about his attitude and contract. He is a Pro Bowl DT and one of the better ones at his position. We should have gotten a player and a 3rd which could escalate to a 2nd or 1st based on performance. BAD BAD TRADE!

He has 8 tackles this year. Based on performance we should get a conditional 7th from this year. Fact is, he is a cancer on this team. Now we can truly be a team without his selfishness in the huddle

  14. Like the direction of the defense, just need more McDermott guys in the building. Faster linebackers, fresh legs on the line and some depth in the secondary are all coming our way. This offseason with draft picks up the behind and free agency should be able to address quite a few of those holes.
