  1. Anyone saying this is an overreaction, I say this is just another example of him blowing up in frustration and helping the defense to self-destruct.  This isn't a one time event, he's done this many times in the past.  Does McDermott put up with it or try to fix it with him?  Jerry Hughes will be 30 going into next year with one of the largest contracts on the team.  I think they'd rather use it on someone with composure that can help lead a defense back to playing well even after a series of poor plays.  He seems to do the opposite and melts down only hurting the team.  To me, that doesn't fit the process.  JMO

Alexander IS in and out a lot. I'm not sure on what downs, but he rotates out a lot.

I agree that Milano looks good and might help, but I wouldn't take Humber off the field. I think he played very well last night. I'd rotate MIlano for Alexander.

But I don't understand, and I think most others don't either, how the linebacker rotation is supposed to work. There's a reason they have the guys on the field that they have.

One other thing: I think McDermott had veteran linebackers in Carolina. I think he values experience, which may be why we're seeing a lot of Alexander and Humber.

I wouldn't take humber off the field but Milano needs to play more.  And Humber didn't have a good game.  He was in charge of clogging a lot of the holes that lead to big rushes in that game.  He looked tired and slow.  We need speed on the field at that position, not tired legs like he showed throughout the game.  Sure he made a few plays but he gave up some big ones

  3. He had some issue his first year here.. it was his worst year of his career. He was our best player last year and missed only 1 game and hasn't missed a game all year...

If he plays all 16 this year , then he has missed only 1 game in 2 years which is superb for a starting NFL back

Yes, it is good but still hurt sometimes. He's an older back. Could easily miss a few games at any given time. But I think we both agree, a mid-round back in this deep running back class would be beneficial.

  4. Everyone saying, it's just a fifth round pick they don't have much value...we have a fifth round rookie starting and a fifth round QB who has played well and is at the very least our future backup. Plus, our 6th round pick has been a contributor on special teams. Those picks do hold value if you find players that fit the scheme well.

  5. I'd absolutely take a RB in the 3rd or 4th round

But McCoy really has no durability issues as far as NFL running backs go... sure he has missed some games, but in his career he has played way more than he's missed

He has top of the line durability as far as NFL starting running backs go .

They will definitely bring someone in through the draft

He's yet to play a full 16 game season with Buffalo so far...don't know how you can say he doesn't have durability issues. Sure early in his career he was fine but he has dealt with injuries every year he's been here.

We are still giving up a lot of yards though especially in recent weeks. And we were fairly stout last year against the run until the first Miami game when Ajayi went off.

Regardless it's very important we don't take the Dolphins lightly. I remember last year on the now defunct BBMB board there were posters who claimed that Miami would be 'two easy wins' and we all know how that worked out. In fact pretty sure some of those same posters who are now frequently this forum are claiming the same thing this year.

Bottom line every division game this year looms LARGE even Thur against the Jets (who swept us last year too).

You mustn't understand the Cover 2. It gives up yards between the twenties through the air. That's why teams have thrown on us. However, it becomes very hard in the redzone to score on the cover 2. The Bills are 3rd in rush defense this year and did well against the Raiders even without MD. Coaching also matters...

I mean, I should. But the season has been so weird regarding this group that I don't give it much thought. D Thompson came in on a Wed and got a 107 yds on Sunday. Matthews has been here since camp, and has been almost non-existent. For better or worse, TT gets a lot of completions on broken plays so I don't see why adding another guy into the mix would hurt.

Could happen, who knows? But I just think they hold a lot of stock in chemistry. Hence replacing the malcontent players on the team.

  8. They don't throw the ball more because they don't have that kind of receiver. TT can throw a nice deep ball. It's exactly what they need and where $$ should be spent. Not on rotational DTs.

They revamped the secondary for about what Hilton's cap numbers are...

  9. This is a good problem to have either way you look at it. Depth at linebacker is what we thought we were missing before the season started.

Frazier must feel like a little kid playing with G.I. Joes. So many different ways to go about it.

Me personally, I would love to see Zo call the defensive plays while Preston Brown gets a breather for a couple plays. Many times i look at Brown and he just looks gassed. Zo, Humber and Milano on the field at the same time while Preston catches his breath. Then Zo can also substitute for one of our defensive ends also when one of them are tired.

I disagree with letting Zo call plays. While yes he is a veteran, he hasn't been a starter or even played that much on defense in his career. More of a special teams guy. That's not someone I'd feel extremely confident in calling even a few plays on the field. He's a solid veteran but calling plays is a bit over the top in my opinion.
