Agree with you… (Add Prescott to your list)… Beane hasn’t built a winning offense yet to support Allen… OL is average… No reliable running game… Diggs needs another WR. Challenge is the window is starting to close on this roster… Handful of prime years left.

Thought his post game presser was revealing… Agree Allen has a Hero Complex… No knock on him…Most QBs do… Unlike the best of them, Allen appears to lack genuine self-confidence… Said the right words… but was defeated in his tone and body language… Just disappointed and not angry at himself and his performance… Not very inspiring, imo.

Biggest mistake Beane made with Allen was paying him a Super Bowl contract before he won an AFC title… Biggest mistake Pegula made was paying Beane and McDermott before they won an AFC title…

Nope… Unless Beane, McDermott or both put pressure on Pegula for early extensions… I blame Pegula… Beane and McDermott weren’t going anywhere… Extensions should have been offered after the Bills won an AFC Conference Championship or the Super Bowl. Went to their heads… Wrong message for the team… Wrong message for the fans…

It already is too much, imo… McD taking over the Defensive calls was a bonehead move from the gitgo… The man is overwhelmed… and stressed as Head Coach based on last night’s performance… especially given his focus on penalties all last week in practice… The team needs a reset. McD needs a reset.

It’s not all on McDermott… yet. Beane provided him a mediocre OL… and no bruising RB to take the short yardage pressure off Allen. If what we are told about McDermott’s role in the 13 second debacle is true, it will show again this season… There were more than a few confounding coaching decisions throughout last season to wonder if McDermott has the right game day stuff to bring a Super Bowl back to Buffalo. Then there is Allen’s role in our failure to advance… Again, if the insider reports are true, appears the Media hype attracted the kind of attention from celebrities that distracted him from his job… Much tougher division this year… Bills will have to focus and stay healthy… McDermott is on the hot seat… Beane as well. The Bills canceled the last day of mandatory minicamp today… Not a good sign… Lack of player commitment to the quest. Pegula and Buffalo aren’t building a new stadium expecting to lose. Pegula won’t be patient much longer… Couple more years at best, my bet.

Disappointed in Diggs… He wants respect from the Bills… Respect is a two-way street.

Given reality??… Much deeper and more competitive division next season… Beane needs to add a couple more respected vets with SB success… McDermott, Dorsey and Allen need to raise their game planning and play-calling a couple notches… McDermott needs to get better staff input to improve his in-game decisions… All doable

Allen is still developing his touch passes… Hitting a back in stride on a screen pass is as important as speedy pulling OL

We need OL help before we need a RB, imo… Give Cook and Singletary a couple big, smart OL… and give Allen better protection… Draft or sign FA…

Stats don’t tell his story. Diggs wanted out of MN. Stayed quiet about it. Played to get traded. Admitted it when he got here. Guy is a world-class receiver but also a diva. Think McDermott, the coaches, Allen and teammates do their best to help Diggs be team-oriented. Made him a Captain. Still the guy skips out on his coaches and teammates after a bitterly disappointing loss, as if gathering as a leader with the team to absorb the pain collectively wasn’t expected of him (my guess is he knew he would likely act out his personal frustration in the locker room like he did in MN too often, so skipped out to avoid a scene. A teammate hunted him down and coaxed him back). Like I said in my earlier post, Diggs has a whole off-season to prepare and recommit himself for a new SB quest with the Bills next season. Imagine he has already apologized to McDermott, Allen, and his teammates. The Buffalo community embraced him and he responded to become part of Buffalo. Up to him now. Just my opinion.

Life is all about our choices … Diggs has a whole offseason to prepare himself for another run at the SB… He will either rise to the Buffalo Moment… or Quiet Quit like he did in Minnesota… Up to him…

It’s over… Disappointing end to a frustrating season… Expectations exceeded the given reality… Only Beane and Pegula can advance this team now… See you all in Sabrespace or next year here… Progress not perfection… Stay well all!!
