I don’t want to rely on historically #3 WRs in Beasley and Brown. They may have good seasons, but I don’t want it to leave it to chance. Kind of upset we haven’t drafted a WR yet. If they pick up Hakeem or UB WR, all is forgiven.

4.66 in pajamas but has a lot of game speed.
He will be a limited RB in the NFL, once teams figure out how to contain him up the middle, he’s finished because he doesn’t have enough speed to make it around the outside.

yeah in the future that could be a viable combo. I hope he proves his worth.I think he will. I'm not sure Yeldon will be much of value being a great runner for us, but I absolutely love his pass catching and blocking ability, he would complement a runner like Devin. My only fear is we still have nobody who can hit the edge with speed, sometimes that is needed, however with Josh under center, it might not be so much of a concern.

Damn- that move might have cost EO a few million
It sucks, but without Houston's poor evaluation, he wouldn't be a Bill right now.

Sign me up coach, I haven't scored any touchdowns either, and I played on teams where players were stealing all the targets.

exactly, and yeah, he is.I don't see him being a 3 down back in the NFL, especially in obvious passing downs. A combo of him and Yeldon is interesting though, just because Yeldon can do what Devin struggles to do, block and pass catch.

what about his blocking ability?Meh. Dude aint going to be able to handle NFL full grown men, not with his size. I will give him one thing, he is super shifty.

After watching this I actually feel BETTER about the pick.
Decisive. Shifty. Strong. Excited to see what he can do.
I mean, I don't deny his skills. I just don't like taking small school prospects in the top 3 rounds. I gave EO a pass because of his freakish abilities and how Houston ruined his numbers playing nose. My only concern with Devin is his ability to get to the outside in the NFL, and I don't like taking RBs in the top 3 rounds if they can't get outside.

I just hope he was worth both our 4th rounders. Could have used those on another CB and LB.

Wonder why no Hakeem Butler love ... we must really like the WR room with the FA signings. .. Below production by Butler kind of outshines Knox's stats

I don't care if Butler goes in the 7th, he will be a very productive WR for whomever drafts him.

0 TD's in his entire career at Ole Miss?
That's an interesting player to trade up for...I was very happy with EO and Ford, but the last 2 have absolutely sucked.

I really want to like the guy, but I just don't think he has the speed for his style of running. Check out these highlights against OU. For his style of running, he won't be able to hit the outside runs, NFL LBrs are too fast. Sure he can make some fast cuts, but there is no top gear.
I sure as hell hope he proves me wrong. I highly doubt him being drafted means the end of Shady.
This is the only team Singletary played agains that is even worth talking about and he got pancaked a lot. He doesn't have the fast burst around the edge that you need in the NFL. Players like Freddy are extremely rare, he didn't have the speed either, but he was a surgeon up the middle and in between the lineman. Devin only had great numbers because he was playing against the likes of Bethune freaking Cookman.

Oh well, good luck kid. May you prove me wrong.

People getting too hung up on metrics like combine speed. Maybe watch his tape, he scores TDs.
Against who? Players that aren't even getting drafted?

Ran a 4.66?..
He will get eaten up in the NFL with that kind of speed. He may have the production, but he was playing against scrubs.

I don't like RB right now, was hoping 4-5th round. Still decent RBs in that range, but the WRs are tailing off. I guess we have to settle with no good WRs in this draft, which is unfortunately because I feel Butler can be used on this team with his size and redzone ability.

Hakeem and the draft is complete!

It would be great if we end up with 3 picks to night. So much value to be had. I'd like to see Butler, Sanders, Risner or Taylor, Irv Smith. Like I said so much value tonight. How can we get 4 picks tonight?
I’d like for us to trade away both our round 4 picks and our 5ths to have a total of 3 picks in the second round, if that isn’t enough, throw in a 2020 3rd.

I am a bit concerned about Metcalf. He does not run routes well, he drops a lot of passes. He seems to be a one trick pony. It would be nice to have a deep threat, but we have more pressing needs along the oline.
Yep, give me Akeem Butler, the dude can separate and stretch catch for the ball like no other.
-
Draft Risner at 40. Then I would trade back into the late 2nd for Butler.
-
I may be in the minority, but I think Hakeem Butler will be a better pro than DK.

Butler x 10 , I can’t believe he has fallen this long. Whoever drafts him will have a winner for years.
