  1. So, you want to tell the other 52 guys on the roster you quit on them? Some people miss the big picture and the fact that human beings with feelings and life goals are involved.

It's not that. If I was the other 52 guys on the roster, I'd be more upset we were being lead by a QB that has no future on this team. I'd rather rally behind an unknown guy that could have potential.

  2. i could see that happening, but really these rook qb's need a full year on the bench. but our situation kinda calls for getting the kid in there at some point because it may affect the way we draft if he lights it up.

That's why we should start him, because if he does show flashes and lights it up, we at least then could make a rationale choice if we need a high draft QB again next year. But that would require logic.

  3. Forgot Yates is gone but my main point is there is no reason to continue with Tyrod.

There is no reason, it is 100% complete waste of time. TT will not be here next year, and we will be drafting a 1st round QB. Logically it makes sense to give the rookie as many snaps as possible for experience.

  4. EJ had bigger games, come from behind games for us than Tyrod but we knew he couldn't beat good teams and throw consistently. Tyrod has very little upside and the Bills aren't good enough to carry him. Right side of the line is a joke and Glenn is turning out to be a injury risk. So what is the point of going on with Tyrod?

I would rather go with Peterman and Yates. At least they are new and offer the chance of a upside we don't have now. Peterman didn't fake that command in Preseason, he looked the part. Not sure how effective a thrower he will be but he can pass like a NFL QB should in the pocket. We need to find out what we have and at the very least if he fails we should be picking high in the NFL draft.

McDermott you will lose your fan base quick, Bills fans have had enough, Tyrod just is not worth the risk. We will stand behind fresh faces till we know they can't play. Bills fans have seen good play before, been awhile for us but Brady is in our division. It becomes painfully obvious every year how far away we are!

This for Peterman!! The longer McD hangs onto Taylor, the longer I question his ability.

  5. Bad teams have bad QB's...........period.

Careful now, don't want to say that to loud in here.

Sorry, but I don't like drought talk. It's pointless. This is 2017, we have new owners, a new FO and new coaches. I'm not wallowing in the past. I'd prefer to look forward, and I think this group is more forward looking than anything we've seen in quite some time. It certainly appears they are focused squarely on finding the QB of the future. That's a huge step.

Because the new coaches and FO are making similar type of moves that have kept us in this drought. First of all, allowing TT to even start from week 1 was a huge strike against them. I'd rather they start an unknown and evaluate whether or not they have a future with this team. I will give them strike 2 if no 1st round QB is taken next year.

  6. Peterman would have fit a game plan against this D better. Peterman is a fast decision maker, super quick release. He'd have gotten the ball out quick for all of those short throws the game plan called for, and more accurately.

After seeing Dennison's offense last year with Siemian, and reading analyses about Dennison's offense, I can't help but think Peterman was made for this offensive system. And given the kind of defenses in the NFL, Peterman's quick reads and quick release will help with pass rush or finding small holes in the zone defenses.

Which is why the Pats were scouting him. Peterman is the opposite of TT when it comes to fast decision making.

  7. Cant say Im as enthralled with Peterman the way some are but Im all for starting him at some point if this continues which it probably will. Dont think your gonna see a change though until the second half of the year. Probably week 14 or 15. Well be 4-6 and in the hunt with 6 games to go then drop three in a row and Peterman will finish out the season.

I'm not enthralled with Peterman, he is just somebody other than TT, and he is a true unknown that I would like to see get some experience. I'd rather he gets 8-14 games of experience under his belt vs 2-6 games under his belt going into next year against the 2018 1st round QB.

  8. I would assume they felt he was a steal in the 5th round especially since many experts thought he could be as high a 2nd round pick.

The only thing I'm looking forward to this season is getting a chance to see him play but since we are probably drafting a QB high in the draft next year Peteman might not have much of a chance in Buffalo unless he lights it up this season.

Which is why we should let Peterman play as many snaps as possible this year. Give Peterman a running start against the 1st round QB drafted. If Peterman plays well, great we have a backup or true QB competition, if he plays bad he rides the pine and develops further under the 1st round QB or gets cut.

  9. So why dont you demand excellence and speak your mind with your regular account? I have a hunch that if we dont have a bad game next week this account of yours will go dormant.

Even if TT manages to go 8-8 , it still doesn't change anything. He is gone next year, and he took valuable time away from a rookie. Thankfully we will no longer have to watch TT next year and we can finally watch a 1st round QB again.

  10.

Great guess that means we don't need to hear from you anymore. #SilverLining

This franchise is incredibly infuriating, and we have people like you who eat up the losing culture and we achieve nothing. Have you ever wondered why we haven't acheived anything since Kelly?

The Bills are 25-25 since they bought the team.

    Going places baby

  11.

Peterman's presence will not deter the Bills from drafting a QB and he's not on a one year deal. The desperation for the answer at QB has made some people lose all reason from an actual NFL team perspective.

I know his presence will not deter the Bills from drafting a QB, and I know he is not on a one year deal. But starting TT is absolutely pointless and a waste of time. He will not be here next year, and we are not going to the playoffs. So why waste time that could be spend learning in an actual NFL game?

  12.

Last year we were 26th in points allowed outside the Fluke Brady less pats shutout. SO in 15 of our 16 games we were one of the worst Ds in the league. Keep holding onto your fake barometer of 16th, the reality was we got a free gift playing a rookier with a hurt throwing hand instead of Brady who dropped 41 on us the next game. Rest of season we gave up OVER 26 points per game in the other 15 games.

In 94% of your games (15 out of 16) if you are among the worst in the NFL, guess what, your do is very bad. And had Brady actually played week 4 and scored 31 on us (literally a guarantee) we would have finished over 16 games as the 28th worst D in the NFL.

Again, all anyone needs to know about you ability to understand and comment on football is summed up in this post.

And then you said this too...lmao

I will let the Bills losing track record speak for itself.

  13.

News flash...nobody cares about what you want to watch. Its about the Bills...and whats best for Peterman is to sit until he's ready, and he aint ready. But judging by the failed logic of your posts, I am not surprised that you don't remotely understand that.

If he isn't ready now, he will never be ready. Getting thrown into the fire is the only way to see if the QB has the right stuff. With TT not returning next year, it is a waste of time that could be given to Peterman to learn before we draft a 1st round QB next year.

  14.

So stating Peterman, who completed just 50% of his passes against scrubs, isn't ready to play yet and starting him now would be a terrible tactic to develop him prompted you to ask "why did the Bills draft him then?"

Its week 2 man...week 2...and Peterman had a TEBOWesque completion rate against scrubs in the preseason and didn't show much better than that in practice. He's got potential, so let the staff work with him more and put him in the best scenarios for success. For Christ Sake, the damn offense as a whole is still learning the new system. We have a rookie and guy whose barely played as the top 2 WRs on this team.

Petemans time is NOT now if anyone actually really gives a damn about Peterman.

Peterman is a grown *** man, if he can't deal with the pressure and gets scared and timid, does he really have "it" ? What does the Bills have to gain by letting TT play 3-6 more games? When we could just let Peterman struggle and learn from his mistakes.

  15. If Peterman threw two picks, fumbled, and threw one TD, people would be calling TT to be put back. The backup is always the most liked QB in the room, till he plays.

No, I guarantee you, people would just deal with it and chalk it up to learning experience. People are over TT. Everyone and their mother knows the Bills are not going to the playoffs, and TT will not be here next year, so why not let the rookie get some learning experience to have a shot at competing against the 2018 1st round QB?
