yes. Allen’s earned every ounce of credibility from the team and the community. And in terms of value he plays the complete opposite position of punter.
hypothetically, you want to say the exact same accusation come out against Allen my reaction would be to probably want to suspend him with pay while the civil or criminal case plays out.
with a punter there is nothing to consider. You just move on and get another one.
So positional importance corresponds to how much time (or rather just allow) we give the justice system to make a determination of a player's innocence or guilt!??!

I need to look at this with non fan Goggles. However, literally today a local HUGE grocery chain fired a woman for allegedly saying that her male manager hugged her in an uncomfortable way (to be transparent....I am the said man's doctor). He was called into HR a few days ago for his side of the story and to take his information down. She said a specific time and date that it happened and in a spot that didn't have a camera until a month ago. The store security looked at 2 days of footage in the camera and only noticed her looking around and no sign of him.
She was fired on the spot. A month ago it would have been the other way around.
I hate the times we live in. Just let the DA do their job and see what comes of it.

You are quite simply wrong, stat watching doesn’t tell the story. He had that many yards because he averaged around 10 yards a carry. The offense had trouble throwing the ball. They only used 2 defensive lineman. Look at how many carries Thurman had? Ridiculously few for what he was averaging, it’s why we didn’t score more points and win that game. If we kept running they would have had to change the defenses, it would have altered the outcome.
Huh? LOL that was a response to me or a misquote? Im.so.confused!

He should. Mac Jones was a "Pro Bowl" QB in 2021 and the Bills QB was not.

It is being reported that todays scheduled joint practice between the Eagles and Dolphins is cancelled due to severe stomach flu going through the Dolphins.
As I check on all AFC East teams the Dolphins are the team that has not been able to put their projected starting roster on the field in any practice, joint practice or pre-season game.
With the holes on the roster and lack of depth and with a new coach and many new players this in my opinion is a serious blow to them.
Thoughts?
Sounds pretty crappy

Clearly Jake Bailey makes it over Ariaza due to usage as opposed to average. The only reason I can think of.
Or maybe Ariaza has not played in a single game that has mattered in the NFL?

All subjective of course, but I was surprised at how plain and cookie cutter the home was. Stuck in the 90’s.

I legitimately want opinions...but when 10 replies pour in minutes after my post, it was obvious the video wasn't watched therefore a general response saying "nothing to worry about here" isn't gonna be accepted with open arms. The guy was on there telling which formations are dynamic and which are static and what they are taught to do based on which coverage...like c'mon man we have a new coordinator trying to get things going...don't go teach people what he's teaching you! And stop telling defenders what you look for pre snap and what your reaction is based on a certain look. Giving the opponent any little edge for the sake of a podcast appearance is irresponsible AF.
I can't speak for others but I saw that video before you posted it. I thought it was odd but then I thought about the NFL and felt differently about it.

I tried to make this thread last night but it was inappropriately merged with a thread on totally different subject matter.
When Thad Brown hated on Cover 1 last week, I wasn’t a fan of how he went about it and thought it was sour grapes. However, while watching the broadcast last night that featured Hodgins, I became more and more uncomfortable with how much he was sharing.
THIS IS NOT A HODGINS POST…it’s a post focused on how much is considered safe to share on a show like this. Here is my original post for reference:
Maybe change the title if you don't want opinions? Making your title a question implies you want dialogue with different viewpoints vs just exposing your view and acting patronizing and condescending to others for theirs (aka "fool").

Who cares? Any NFL has a professional staff that knows this and then some. It is a nothing burger.

Director of QB Development for the whole league? Seems like an odd position for a pro league.
Well poor QB play will sink the league as fast as anything....so it sorta makes sense.

Comp picks only count for free agents lost. If they cut him while still on his rookie deal there is no compensatory pick.
My guess is no trades.
Going into camp I thought they would trade Epenesa but sounds like he is outplaying Lawson for the last DE spot.
Exactly my point. He plays out his rookie contract....some team grabs him for a mid range free agent and Buffalo gets a + in the formula.

Does being the best bad QB make you a top 100 player or a pro bowler?
When you are a QB for a nationally relevant team it must.

My reaction watching Spector was that he wasn't very good in pass coverage, but he's a classic run-stopping MLB. That video of him is great.
And to your point, it's amazing to me that Edmunds, with his athletic ability and his speed, is unable to play the run like that. I mean, really. Spector isn't some kind of great natural talent. He's just paid attention to his coaches, learned his reads, and trained himself to move his feet, stay in position, play off the blocker. Why can't Edmunds do that?
I noticed this during the game and on video. Whether it's instinct or just discipline, he seems to do things the right way. His release, his hands catching, his turns upfield. I think people have made the Cooper Kupp comparison, and it's apt. That's how Kupp plays.
I think he'll see a lot of playing time.
Edmunds MAY do that with a better DLine in front of him. This year we will see.

Wow, they have Mac Jones? Just as inexplicable as him making the pro bowl. What the heck are people seeing in him? Mediocre QB who had a mediocre year. At least Cousins puts up big stats. And yet Mac is higher than him with 500 less passing yards, 10 fewer TD's, and 5 more INT's?
I have to think if he played for a different team he wouldn't have made the list or the pro bowl.
Wasn't he the best rookie QB last year?

Guys who could get cut but have some trade value:
Ford
Kumerow
Epenesa
Giles-Harris
Duke Johnson
Why do people think we would cut Espenesa?!?! He is on his rookie deal. Keep him cheap and let him go and someone will sign him and it "will count towards" our compensatory picks.

I’ve never got the sense this guy was a genius in interviews. I could be wrong, but I don’t think I am. I understand why an NFL player would not want to hire an agent for financial reasons. They got a nice big chunk of that contract and if you can avoid it, you do. But, avoiding it means you’ve got to represent yourself and understand how to work on your behalf against people who really know what they’re doing. You’re a football player, not an agent. There’s a reason that both vocations have different job titles and roles.
They can get free help from the NFL Players' Union.

Actually your statement has nuance....in NY the age of consent IS 17 years old (as you stated). In essence, that means anyone who is 16 years of age or younger cannot provide legal consent to sexual activity. When a person has consensual sexual intercourse with a minor who is under 17 years old, they could be charged with statutory rape. However, New York has a partial age exception for consensual sex between someone who is younger than 21 years old and a minor who is 15 or 16 (or at least less than four years older than the victim). There is no partial exception for consensual sex involving minors who are 14 years old or younger. It is very tricky with clear cut age differences.
TLDR: In NY a 17 year old having sex with a 21 year old is a nothing burger.
