Bills players have a convenient excuse to lay down. Wouldn’t be surprised if they took it.

But this fan has it right:

Ignorant people are going to be ignorant....

I personally do not care what some randoms think about why the game is being moved.   As I mentioned previously, the NFL moves games for hurricanes.  I thought Floridians didn't care about a little bit of rain.  That is the comparison to chirpy Dolphins fans.

It's a safety issue. Not a gameday, playing surface issue.

  2. I know I am a homer, but playing around with this thing, I really like how the second half of this season is laying out for us.

Miami has some tough games left on their schedule.  @SF and @LAC, they get the packers at home and I am hoping that Rodgers has them going by that point, they did just beat the Cowboys and then most importantly, they have to come play us in Orchard Park.

KC has a surprisingly good Seattle team, the Bengals ( i know we do too) and then a bunch of divisional games where anything can happen.

We just need to handle our business and it starts this Sunday.

    Two thoughts:

    1) Brady actually comes across as caring (and AB as a d*ck); and

    2) Brady's written work definitely needs improving. Gramatically that is a mess (and don't get me started on the punctuation)*

    * Yes, it is miles better than some of the stuff I see players post and yes, I am a language pendant but even so ... C-

Are you criticizing Brady's grammar in a private text message to a "friend" of his?  Seriously?  Compared to how most texts are structured, this message was well thought out, didn't require paraphrasing, had punctuation, wasn't filled with slang, acronyms, misspelled words or emojis.  Give the guy a break. Lol.

I completely agree with you on thought 1 however.

  4. What about Tre White's career so far would lead anyone to question his desire to play?  He is one of the highest energy players that I have ever seen.  To insinuate that he is just choosing to sit out is boggling to me.  From what I have read so far, he has been working incredibly hard to try and recoup and get back into football shape.

Do you think that maybe, just maybe, there is a chance that the people who are in the building with him, working with him everyday might know a little bit more about his current readiness than us here on these boards?  Do you think that maybe there are legitimate reasons why he was activated when he was, that affect not only him but also the rest of the roster moving forward to the end of this season and into the playoffs?

    Just my 2cents

How many of you came from the BBMB? It got shut down some years back. It was a wild place. I appreciate the football conversation (for the most part) on TBD.

Not sure about BBMB.  I have seen it mentioned on here multiple times though.  i assume BBMB was Buffalo Bills Message Board?

I know I have been a lurker on this forum for years and decided to start getting involved this year.

What a time we live in, you're blessed. When I was deployed, I got a newspaper a week late telling me of the Bills losing in the super bowl, again.

    Fun times ;)

    TY for your service

Yes.  It really is remarkable.  I have been in since '04 and it has come a long ways even since then. When the internet is open to all-hands I typically have 1 tab open on facebook messenger talking to the wife and another open on this site, binging all of my Bills info until the internet cuts out again.

it can get pretty intense onboard too because we all come from different places and have such varied rooting interests.   So watching the games can be an adventure haha.

  7. As I have mentioned before, I am in the military and am currently deployed so I have limited internet hours and limited access to content during that time.  One thing that I have access to, and loads up fairly consistently, is this website and other forums.  Likely because they are mostly text and not a lot of images.    So I spend a lot of my free time browsing ours and other team's forums and I just want to say that this fan forum is one of the best ones in the league.  There are so many people who contribute frequently (for better or worse haha).   Almost all threads get significant views and responses.  Our mods are active.  Game day threads are like clockwork.  I go to some other team's forums and it isn't the case at all.

We may not always agree with each other on our topics but we should all agree that we have a pretty great thing here in this forum.

I know this may come across as a LAMP post but that honestly isn't the intent.

The question isn't about beating a crap team like the Browns.

    Who.  Gives.  A.  $#!+.

The question is whether this pathetic franchise is going to finally win a Super Bowl at some point, or just continue to be a ridiculous embarrassment to their loyal fans.  There is no team in the history of sports with a history of hyping up their fans and then choking it away like the Buffalo Bills.

    Wide Right.

    Losing Four Straight Super Bowls.

    The Music City Miracle.

    The Hail Murray.

    13 Seconds.

Whatever the F you call yesterday, fumbling on the 1 yard line

Things were easier to swallow when this team was bad.  Most of our embarrassments weren't on national tv.  You could pretty much relax and start looking to next season by Thanksgiving.  There was nothing to get our hopes way up, and then crush them.  The expectations for this team are going to be just as heartbreaking as the 90s.  Trust me, I lived through them.

This defense is a paper tiger that looks good in the stat column, but crumbles in the big moments.  The offense is a two-man show, and Josh Allen makes too many dumb mistakes to carry this team through an entire postseason (3-4 straight games against strong opponents).  And when push comes to shove, this team will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS find inexplicable ways to lose football games.  The only thing you can count on.

Well, thank you for recapping all of our collective miseries for us in one simple post.

I guess we will see you back around draft time?  No point in watching anymore since we will "ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS" find ways to lose.

  9. We will be fine.

Our Opponents W-L total for the season so far is 50-33.

We have a +99 Point differential throughout that stretch.  The best in the NFL (pending the eagles game final, they are +90)

For some context, here are Miami and KC's.  The teams I think most people would consider our main roadblocks to home field.

    Miami 45-37

Pt Dif: +11    Obviously, that is not a fair representation of their capabilities when healthy with Tua.  I am just pointing out the facts so far this season

    KC 40-44-1

Pt Dif: +64     What we are thought was going to be a juggernaut of a division is proving to be more of a cakewalk for the Chiefs and the entire AFC East is over 500.

We are playing a First Place Schedule and the results are still there.  6-3 through 9 games played. Beat all 3 other AFC divisional leaders so far.  We still have a chance to split with the Jets and the Dolphins when we get them at home.

I think the Bills will rattle off a few wins in the coming weeks and people will look back to the past two weeks and realize they were 3 point losses against pretty good football teams.

Someone please explain to me why a QB s sneak (a play allen has already said he doss not like) is the best option for play call on 1st down from your own half yard line?

Seems scary AF to me. Someone explain it to me like I am a 2 year old plz

They say that it is supposed to be a safe way to create some wiggle room, especially with a giant as your QB.

Execute the snap and push forward with assistance from Davis, even a half a foot.  Do it again and the game is over.  We were not able to execute the snap.

  11. I really thought this game was a tale of two defenses (both being the Bills')

They forced two turnovers.  Got a few sacks in pressure packed moments late to force multiple 4th downs including the 4th and 18.

They had two amazing goal line stands.

For the most part, they were fairly stout in run D.

    But

They allowed the Vikings to convert way too many 3rd and 4th downs

They gave up an 82 yard touchdown run

They couldn't stop Jefferson in the 4th Q and overtime.

I wonder if Edmunds being out the second half was a large contributor to their surge in production. (edit just saw chronicandknuckles saying the same thing a few posts before mine) He was a factor in the interception that Benford got because his length altered the throw.  After their first drive, Minnesota really did not do much in the first half.  That's just something that I was pondering in the hours after the game.

Justin Jefferson made one of the best and most clutch catches I have ever seen.   It just sucks it was against us.

It took all the focus away from how terrible they all were vs the Jets

No reporters were asking anyone why they let The Jets offense look fully functional for the first time under Zach Wilson.

Or why we can’t run the ball.

So a chance to regroup, win, and move along.

The thing is, if the coaches can't self-analyze after the loss to the Jets and make necessary adjustments and do whatever is necessary to get through to Josh WITHOUT the injury, they really aren't championship-caliber coaches.

I said that I understood what the OP was trying to say.  Not that I necessarily agreed with him.  I know that some people disagree with me here, but I think we have one of the best coaching staffs in the entire league.

  14. No.  It is not a "good thing" that our all-world QB is hurt.

I do understand what your intentions are with the thread though, that the coaches may be forced to look into different avenues to generate offense and it may provide versatility down the road.  I just refuse to ever say that Josh being injured is a "good thing" in any way.
