  1. The Bucs completely surrendered control over the game by not going for 2. Sure they could have been stopped and lost by 1 but at least it would've been dictated by them.   Asking  your D to stop KC with time left, get a coin flip or stop them again and then still drive down to score to take the lead, when you couldve just gone for 2....

Gutless play call.  Especially on the road, in Arrowhead.

No Nirvana? The last great band and the only grunge band that mattered.

The Mt. Rushmore of Seattle bands...  people are passionate about "their" band, between the 4 big ones.  But most all of the remaining members of Alice, Pearl Jam and Nirvana have at one point credited Soundgarden with paving the way for their collective success.

For those going to the game, the Museum of Pop Culture is pretty cool and has a large section devoted to the local music scene, past and present.

my thoughts honestly...we have played probably 3 of the worst teams in the league thus far

    just saying

Are they 3 of the worst teams in the league or is there such a disparity because of how badly we beat them?  Jacksonville has been competitive in nearly all of their games and Arizona has had flashes of looking good, including their big win over LA.  The dolphins are on a third string QB so they are a tough measure but going into that game, most people in the media had them picked to win.

It is easy to say that a team sucks because we beat them by a billion, but don't completely discredit or dismiss the team that DID the ass kicking.  Not everyone is beating them like that.

  4. I struggle to understand why some fans can't see the greater season through the vacuum of one game.  Our "slow" defensive backs essentially eliminated MHJ, Hill, Waddle, Kirk, and Thomas Jr. in three consecutive weeks.   They don't run down an all-time great RB who has a full head of steam, running untouched downhill and our defensive backs are too slow or not athletic enough.

This board so far this morning has a "Josh Allen has lost a step" thread and now this one too...

    geesh

  5. Took 30 minutes to start playing ball.  We started to make some plays and then that atrocity of a play call pretty much ended whatever hopes we had.

You can't play timid, and we did on both sides of the ball for most of the night.  We looked like our defenders were stuck in their heads thinking about what their gaps/lane responsibilities were instead of just attacking them and playing fast.

Tyler Bass is my biggest concern moving forward.  Everything else, learn and move on.

  6. If I can't be at the stadium, i prefer to watch it alone.  The two extremes in this scenario I guess.

My dad and I pretty much share the same brain when it comes to watching the Bills so I will watch them with him, when I can.

My ex used to always say stupid stuff like, "If it makes you that upset then why don't you just turn it off?"    ...and that's why she's the EX.

Nice! Do you like it out in Japan? It was like 10 years ago for me when I was in the service but I loved it there.

I love it.  I am very grateful for my time out here.  I should be back stateside for good in the spring, which will be nice.  My wife and I had a baby boy last year and he hasn't met his cousins or grandparents yet.  It will be nice to be back closer to family.  Japan is awesome though.

  8. I hate playing the Jags.

There are a few people in the league that tend to give Josh trouble.  Hines-Allen is one of them.

We will need to win our man coverage downs and have the O-line hold up and keep Hines-Allen out of the back field.  Josh kills defenses when he sees nothing but the back of the defender's jerseys.  I don't think they will take the spy off of him throughout the game.  I would imagine a heavy dosage of someone like Oluokun with eyes on Josh.  He is a tackling machine.

Utilize Cook out of the back field and the quick hitters to Kincaid and Samuel.  Hopefully that'll free up a 1-on-1 over the top to MVS.

  9. I was thinking about how this offseason feels like it could be a different version of what the bills did in 89.   For those not old enough to remember, the Bills had some success in the late 80s, making it to the AFC Championship in 88 and then losing a divisional game against the Browns the following year in 89.  It was late in that 89 season/playoffs that the Bills discovered their K-gun offense.  That Browns game ended with a Ronnie Harmon drop in the end zone.  He criticized Kelly's throw and that offseason he was moved.  They came back the next year with the new offensive mentality and lit the league on fire.

We have had some success.  Towards the end of this season and into our playoff games we shifted our focus on offense and had a playoff game where we had a skill player drop what could have been a game winning touchdown, who then criticized the QB and was subsequently moved in that off-season.

That year following that 89 loss was the greatest Bills team of the superbowl era.    I can only dream that our 2024 team finishes the job.
