I think you are missing the broader economic picture here.  I'm not talking about expansion of teams or merchandise. This is about worldwide interest in the NFL and generating more tv dollars, which is the vast majority of the NFL's revenue.  Why do you think the NBA was so intentional about Chinese interest? They aren't putting an NBA team in China. They make billons off the TV dollars though. The NFL is trying to expand the their viewership worldwide. This is no secret, they have been very intentional and public about this (and its common business sense).

    Good points.  Thank you.

Edit - is vt for Vermont?

It's going to continue to happen, it's going to be a permanent fixture as the NFL continues to push to expand interest worldwide.  This is nothing new, the NFL has been very public about its intentions, nobody should be surprised about this. It's good for the NFL long term (which indirectly benefits the Bills). Get over it.

How is it good for the NFL beyond selling merchandise?

They can't expand much beyond 32 teams as there aren't even 32 QBs who can realistically hope for a Lombardi.  There are not enough very good players for the summer leagues today to get good viewership.

If moving existing teams to Europe how will that be fair? Would the euro team(s) have all 8 away games in a row or would they be jet lagged most of those away games?  How would playoffs go?

  4. pericarditis.  Just top results on Google.  Not an MD in any life.  He was treated though and apparently cleared to play so maybe no big deal - hope for him.

Pericarditis can range from mild illness that gets better on its own, to a life-threatening condition. Fluid buildup around the heart and poor heart function can complicate the disorder. The outcome is good if pericarditis is treated right away. Most people recover in 2 weeks to 3 months.

What is the life expectancy of someone with pericarditis?

What is the survival rate of pericarditis? Without treatment, the survival rate of constrictive pericarditis is low. After a pericardiectomy, 78% of people can live five years and 57% live another 10 years.

  5. Forget the jets.  They will always find a way to lose.  Until they prove otherwise I'm not falling for the hype any more than I did last summer.

The jets fans thought they were going to the SB last summer.  Lol.  They believed the marketing and the fan echo chamber.  If you fell for it last summer than maybe do so again but if not then don't this summer either.  Same leadership.  Same old QB.  Some new toys.

Miami worried me more last summer and again this year.  Don't see them as better than the Bills but that offense should only need a serviceable QB to move the ball well.

    NE.  Meh.

You got your opinion I got mine - except you got no vision bro.  Just a bowl of vitriol, a cup of vinegar where there should be sweetness, negativity that. drips.  That ain't got no swag at all. You a one trick pony - and the trick is to pee on all the other ponies.

    Wot's this, then?   🤔

  7. Sammy watkins was speedy.  Who cares?  I got the feeling in the second half of last season that the Bills wanted to use josh for short and medium passes and a steady rhythm of first downs; with RB also more involved.   Josh has a great arm and it's sexy to see that work but it's also risky.

I just they do more with Dalton this year in that plan.

And, sorry if rude here - I also wanted a fast wr pick #1 - but anyone who thought the Bills' next season was banked on josh throwing crazy deep bombs to a rookie WR with speed was delusional.

Then you missed it.  They did a nice profile piece on him and then showed highlights.  Kiper likes him out of the backfield especially.

Nope.  Just rewound and watched a third time.  Spectrum espn channel 26.  They were talking lions pick, showed eagles pick is in.  Never went to podium or vocally mentioned that pick but did show it at bottom of screen.  Adverts.  Returns to 49s 129 pick is in.  Talked head coach of viking for 10 mins.

Found it - about 15 minutes after pick 128 espn first mentions what the pick was and shows some davis love.  But I only knew of the pick from here.  Switched to nfl network.

  9. Pre season games matter.  I remember being at the one where Fred Jackson made his name known in the second half. They simply ran him like 7 or 8 plays in a row on down the field and the rest was history.  At least 2 games imo.

And how to cut so many players after 2 games?  And injuries over the season.  If 18 games then also increase team size to reduce preseason cuts and increase distribution of injuries and such. Though increasing team size so teams can not play their best every down would also decrease quality of NFL.

16 games and no more Europe or slatam.

Edit - and only gov't, banks and teachers have president's day off.  A lot of people but not most.
