  1. Hey everyone!  I'm going to the game Sunday for the first time since the Tyrod years (a great win over the Raiders).

I'm coming from Rochester & I'm just wondering a bit of advice regarding what time I should head out, best parking options, etc.  No tailgating plans, but walk around and mingle for a bit.

Thank you & obviously go Bills :D

I am continually amazed at Von general cut and stature vs HOF results. He’s like Clark Kent. In street clothes you’d have literally no idea he’s an elite nfl rusher.

Right?  I mean he's a professional athlete so obviously he's strong AF but I stood next to Mario Williams before...that man looked like he would have been able to flip over a car but I never saw him bullrush like Von has done his entire career.

  3. I just want to take a moment to appreciate how amazing it is that there is not an absolutely obvious need for the team to try and go after.  Some CB depth would be nice but I'd rather see them sign Haden than give up draft capital, but seriously this is a very great time to be a Bills fan!

  4. There are loads of comments here so if this was already mentioned in some way, I apologize for the redundancy.

Araiza's lawyer said that Matt acknowledged that he didn't think that this would go anywhere until the Times article came out.

That is enough of a confession of enough wrongdoing to me to cut him, and to cut him TODAY.

  5. I'll call it a tie with the 51-3 AFCCG game, and that takes nothing away from this game at all (obviously).  Both were absolutely amazing performances.

For fun, I highly recommend that any younger Bills fans that aren't familiar with the 51-3 game, check it out on Youtube.  The Raiders talked trash all week going into the game and if I'm not mistaken, they had to take a timeout on the opening possession because the Bills already had them out of breath.

I mean I'd take anything AB puts out with a grain of salt, but it was an interesting alternate angle.

Yeah me too but if that side of the story is accurate then I hate to say it, but I sort of get the reaction (jumping up & down on the ankle notwithstanding) and think the NFL should look into it.  NFL team "doctors" are an utter joke when it comes to player health.

I mean at this point our running game is pretty ineffective. And McDermott is pretty good about giving guys the hook if they aren't producing. Maybe choose between Singletary and Moss as the 3rd down back and give Williams a shot. He's bigger and can't be much worse at this point. Our OL is what it is.

Otherwise the running option changes we could try seen to be limited to more jet sweeps - or the threat of jet sweeps - at least a half dozen times a game with McKenzie or Breida.

You buried the lede.  I'm not saying that Motor/Moss/Breida have been great by any means and they certainly haven't really helped themselves, but short of Derrick Henry, no back is going to perform well behind the run blocking of this OL.  They have been absolutely dreadful.

  8. While I agree that the O-line needs to be upgraded in the offseason, I am baffled by the Morse hate in this thread.  He has likely been their best and most consistent lineman all season, particularly as a pass blocker.  To say "60 needs to be upgraded" is something to hope for I guess but that would be much easier said than done.  Now upgrading over Feliciano?  Personally I don't think that would be nearly as difficult.

Actually (and this is not intended to argue), I think Josh is still throwing off his back foot at times, but pulling through the throwing motion with his upper body. I am wondering if that is key the adjustment he made. In younger days, I was a college pitcher and pay attention to (albeit different) throwing motions. The second half throw to Knox is where is was most apparent to me. Maybe (I have inadequate knowledge here) his problem was not throwing off his back foot, but not following though, allowing the ball to softly sail. I could easily be wrong on this.

On a few throws in the game he didn't have much of a choice other than throwing a bit flat footed and it really didn't matter.  Look at the (very) deep throw to Diggs and Knox's 3rd catch.  Allen barely stepped into those throws at all and it just didn't matter.  His arm strength is absolutely incredible and honestly it looks like it has gotten stronger.

With the new additions and developments of some of our players, it is looking like some of our areas of weaknesses from a year ago have changed. No matter how good a team is, it still has ways that it can improve, and I am curious to see what we will need to add, particularly for next year.

Qb: obviously Allen is great. Mitch  is here on a 1 year deal, so we’ll likely to somehow add another backup next year.

Rb: This position is definitely not a strength, but moss and Singletary have been adequate this year. Definitely a position that could be added to, but doesn’t need upheaval

TE: Knox has been emerging as a TE1 so far this year, which has been one of the biggest changes. An upgrade at TE2 would be good, and I think a mid round pick would be well spent on a TE to develop, similar to Knox.

Wr: Diggs is a good number one, Davis is a good #3-4. Beasley is still under contract, and likely will still be here. Sanders contract expires however, so I’d look to add to the Wr room, but I wouldn’t consider it a priority, as the core is still solid, and Davis still has a lot of upside

OT: We’re set for starters at OT, with Dawkins, Williams, and Brown all capable. Some depth could be added.

IOL: I would like to see some work on the interior offensive line this year in the draft, the trenches are extremely important, and an improved interior will help our run game to improve, which will help open the passing game more. Currently Morse, Feliciano, and Williams are adequate, but more picks ala Brown in the 2nd-3rd would be great for this team in the long run, to learn from these players and surpass them.

DL: The balance has been great, and with further development by Basham, Rosseau, and Oliver, we won’t be needing Addison much longer. I could see Hughes being brought back. They could again use picks on the DL, but I suspect they would only use later round picks, unless they see a steal, but they may just bring in some cheap vet help.

LB: This team is set at starting LB, just need some more added depth.

CB: CB 1 and our slot CB are locked up, I would like Wallace back, but also in favor of bringing in some competition via draft or FA, also need depth.

S: Locked up starters, need more depth here as well

K: Bassomatic is here, we’re fine

P: Could potentially be improved, but not the end of the world, we don’t punt much.

LS: good old Reid is fine.

After looking at this team, it seems the priority should be mainly accumulating depth this off-season, as well as looking to Improve (whether next season or down the road a bit)

    IOL

    Cb 2

    TE 2

    Wr 2?

    QB 2

I would be looking into the early rounds of the draft seeking to improve the interior offensive line and 2nd cornerback specifically.

Nicely done and if you're at all like me, isn't it pretty weird not having an incredibly obvious hole to fill on the roster?  After so many years of just awful rosters, this is a refreshing change.

I like your list but I might put DL in 5th place just because Addison is likely gone and Jerry isn't getting any younger.  I definitely think we will draft at least a couple offensive linemen for depth or to replace a current starter.

I also definitely think we will go for a WR, maybe even early but if it were me, my #2 WR is someone already on the team - re-sign Sanders.  I know he's not going to be around for a decade but he just seems like one of those guys that can stick around for a long time and be effective like Rice (not comparing him to Rice, just how long I think he can play) or Darrell Green.

Yesterday was the perfect demonstration of how you would hope these two work for years to come. AJ was blowing past guys and Rousseau was tidying up. The stat sheet says Rousseau 2 sacks but Epenesa was the disruptor yesterday. He played an awesome game.

Greg is ahead of schedule two games in but to see the development in AJ... I mean this staff have basically rebuilt him in a year. Re-shaped his body, tweaked his technique and he is showing up on the field.

Through the preseason and the first couple of games my biggest takeaway is that the whole line is playing betting and beating their blocks and that's making it a whole lot easier for would be sacks/pressures to become actual sacks/pressures.  It's sort of like the anti-Jerry Hughes years to me.  For a long time now, Jerry was the best pass rusher on the team and would very often beat his man, but no one else would, so it wouldn't take much for the opposing QB to escape the pressure.

Please note that I'm not diminishing Rousseau at all - he seems farther along than I thought he would be at this point.  As far as a player comp, his use of arm extension reminds me a lot of Trey Flowers and Khalil Mack.  Very effective move & made me appreciate the whole idea of arm length being important in the pre-draft process.  Hopefully he can add a few more moves to his repertoire too 😃

Would you be open to allowing Josh call his own plays like Kelly did?

At least put Moss in to chip away a defender. He shouldn’t have been a scratch. Anything. We never even tried. That’s the most frustrating part.

I really didn't understand Moss being a healthy scratch at all.  If he's healthy then he should be active.  I'm so sick of a skill position player like Taiwan Jones being active only for special teams.  I get that special teams is important but so is the offense, so when Moss - statistically one of the best pas protecting RBs in the entire league last year, and a pretty versatile back in general - is a healthy scratch, I just don't get it.

The article does sound a bit alarmist but I think Daboll is a bit overrated.  He's clearly a good coordinator but I think criticism is justified.  Motor was looking pretty effective and he ends up with two more carries than JA...to me that's not great.

I took Josh Allen with #1 pick .. but I'm a newbie and winging it.  Where was your advice a week ago?  I was wondering why everyone else was picking RB's.  Here's my squad: Kicker is Blankenship (Indy) or Tyler Bass.

For a newbie that's a pretty good first draft.  The JA pick is a reach/homer pick but that's okay - at least you can root for your fantasy team as much as your real favorite team 😄  Out of curiosity is the scoring for the league 4 points or 6 points for a passing TD?  Personally I would check the free agents available because there is likely a RB or WR that will have better production than Gabe.

The gigantic screens all over the place for replays and HD and 4K capabilities.  Enhanced top end WiFi to be able to watch and stream things all over the stadium.

Advanced capabilities to order food and beverages to be delivered to seats based upon your mobile device and the enhanced number of vendors that they can pack into open areas because they are not open air.

Huge advancements in cellular coverage and cellular capabilities to again help fans in-game experience as you watch or listen to your game or a myriad of other games.

The amount of tech crammed into these new stadiums is unbelievable and it is developed with an eye toward the future.  That is what I want to see out of the Bills designs.

How are they going to handle the need for multiple levels of wide band tech to allow the newest wifi and cellular data to get everywhere and what kind of advances are they going to make for all types of in stadium experiences?

Then you have things like ingress and egress points and tickets and funneling fans around the stadium from all points to speed up entrance and exiting, getting to restrooms and vendors, and getting around the stadium to party with friends.

We will see how much they put into the initial bid and how much goes in by the end.

Man did that make me feel old.  I know I'm not in the majority but I really couldn't care less about any of that...I just want to eat/drink in the lot before the game and then not be miserably cold/wet when I get in 😆

Ultimately I will be happy to get a new stadium no matter what it is but REALLY hope that it has a roof, mostly for the quality of the product on the field.
