But in the NFL, QB is BY FAR the most important position, and that one player can make WORLDS of difference. See Tom Brady with the Bucaneers, for example.

Allen makes worlds of difference lol TF

Agreed. Bills need more playmakers on both sides. With that said, he is part of the reason why they haven’t advanced further. There are improvements to be made on his part, especially seeing the game better.

    27 touchdowns 5 total turnovers

Only post season player in history to average over 250 yards passing and over 50 yards rushing every playoff game..5th rated post season qb in NFL History..No allen isn't part of the reason...last 4 playoff losses Bills defense has forced 6 total Punts...that's 6 PUNTS in 4 games Total!

Statistically, Josh Allen outplayed Mahomes on that day but we still lost

    Why?

Because the bills will be ready to win a Super Bowl whenever the players around Josh Allen make plays when it matters

It really is a simple as that

Not just the players but the coaches also

Bills have slumped before and turned it around. In fact I predicted it. Obviously I didn’t predict Dorsey would be fired but I thought they’d get out of the funk and that Josh would run again when it’s crunch time.

They obviously called the game differently. Brady called the game like we had zero WR talent and couldn’t run an NFL passing offense. Dorsey called it like we had an elite all pro QB and elite passing weapons.

I prefer Dorsey’s approach. We’ll see what happens.

I think we could have found a better oc than Both

I think speed matters some as they have Kincaid in intermediate range with size and hands and Diggs & Shakir have good hands, but aren’t deep threats.

i also think 6’1” 220+ qualifies as good size (Leggette).

Legette is my pick at 28 ....would love brian thomas Jr but I think he will be gone

With the Bills not learning and just giving Josh what he wants in the OC coach again, they need to find a QB coach that is going to get into Josh's brain.  A guy that has been around for a while, and isn't looking to baby Allen.

One guy I'm wondering if he will do it as a "favor", is Frank Reich.  He obviously doesn't need a job, but wondering if he would come back here to try and get us over the hump.

These last two hires at QB coach, Dorsey and Brady, have been young guys that were looking to eventually be head coaches.  We don't need to go in that direction again.

Is there a HC coach who can do for McDermott what you suggest a qb coach can do for allen?

    Josh Allen

    Dorsey: 9 Games

    350 attempts - 2660 yards - 19 TDs - 11 INT - 7 rushing TD

    Brady: 9 Games

    298 attempts - 2095 yards - 14 TDs - 7 INT - 8 rushing TD

    James Cook

    Dorsey: 9 games

    120 carries - 615 yards - 5.1 YPC

    Brady: 9 Games

    153 carries - 647 yards - 4.2 YPC

Not much you can take away, also doesn’t account for weather, team, and the challenges of it not being an offense designed by Brady.

What was diggs stats after dorsey?

Then why didn’t you? Why didn’t you design, implement, develop and coordinate the passing attack that was revolutionary?

Joe Brady played a massive role in that LSU did, don’t believe me go ask Joe Burrow. To claim otherwise is pure ignorance.

For sure, I was surprised by the numbers as I found them, but it’s important to remember this isn’t even a piece if the cake, maybe just some light decoration.

Key one for me in the INTs over 9 games, that’s a huge improvement.

So bradys impressive resume is his college career with superstars who played a ton of weaker opponents? Cool

The one that did not have a fetish about making sure Josh Allen did not run.  That seemed like the only meaningful difference between the two offenses.

Not to mention Diggs production completely fell off the map under brady

If I was a coach, I'd want Von, too.  But signing players to sensible contracts is the GM's responsibility and I hold Beane accountable for both the good & bad that's come out of Von's signing.

I was iffy about Von's signing when it happened.  It wasn't that I didn't like Von as a player.  I do.  But I worried about the opportunity cost.  Who else could we have signed with that $120 million?  We have so many needs and if we hadn't sent an armored car full of cash to Von, we could have signed some real contributors.

Since the signing, the deal has only looked worse with Von's injury.  Injuries to players Von's age are hardly unusual and should have been expected.

Hmm an aged von or hopkins,aj brown,Mike evans hell for what they gave von even devante adams....nah if I'm coach I understand we have a top 3 qb and in today's nfl with the rules favoring offense I would build the most stacked offensive roster I could

Spending a lot of cap money on two players - White and Miller - that aren't contributing is a serious problem.

This isn't McD's fault.  You could say it's Beane's fault, especially with Von.  Paying that much money for a guy in his 30s was risky.

    Tre is just bad luck.

And who do you think wanted Von? Mcd wanted Von for his defense! It's what allot of defensive minded hcs do..they take draft picks and FA money from their offense and invest disproportionately into the defense

People want a young, highly respected offensive mind with a big time resume and got one.

Whiners gunna whine, feed them to the pit.

I cannot wait to see what Brady does with an offense that HE installs and runs concepts he develops.

What is bradys big time resume you speak about? Is it working with Joe burrow chase and Jefferson at LSU....I could call plays for that trio and succeed

    39 minutes ago, Bruffalo said:

He deserves the shot, and he's been a much better play caller than Dorsey. Implementing his playbook could make the offense even more dangerous.

That's the thing....we keep giving all these Unprovens a shot and it's at the expense of wasting the best years of Allen's prime .....eventually there will be no more shots for josh allen....why not get him the absolute top weapons and coaches and see how high this kids ceiling really is?

You got it. We've been a very good team with a great QB that's very good in the regular season but not great in clutch playoff games.

Yes, it beats the drought years, but the funny thing with expectations is the higher you set them the more disappointing it is not to make them.

So, in a weird way losing in the playoffs hurts a lot more than not making them.

Our quarterback is the 5th highest rated passer in nfl post season history...it's absolutely hilarious when anyone tries to label allen as a reason how we haven't made a superbowl...absolutely comical

I love him too… likely to go in the Top 12 … we will be looking up waving him goodbye ,,,

Probably … Beane is already looking at their pick at the end of the third to move up 3 or 4 spots …there will be 3 or 4 WR left but there will be one he loves …

If he gets it right then all good… but this is one year they could use that third round pick to find another contributor..

We better take a wr round 1
