Sure, but guess what ? It’s not changing back. The fact is only one team gets the bye. That’s a tough ask, and it obviously doesn’t mean the 1 seed will make the Super Bowl every year. Yes, this is the first year KC has reached the bowl without it - it’s also the only year they didn’t have it. The Bengals got there without it. They had a great chance to do it again with a late drive last season. The Ravens had it twice and lost both times. The # 1 seed would be a nice benefit , but it’s not a necessity. A perfect regular season simply isn’t required to reach the already difficult goal of a Super Bowl.
This take is closest to the truth. The playoff games are usually close, and a few plays here and there are often the difference. The Bills have a pretty solid D and run a good system. They don’t have a lot of stars that make game changing plays vs top competition. They can’t afford to have their best players sidelined with injuries and haven’t been lucky in this regard. They need some better players on defense and probably another top WR.
Agreed its no guarantee. You still have to beat KC/Cin. We need to nail this draft and get real creative with the cap the have a shot.

Obsessed with Nabers.
I don’t see a way they make it up that far without trading Diggs or something but I would be absolutely 100% down for that.

It’s simple math honestly. You play one less game to get into the tournament. Definitely a better situation than what we’ve been in plus they would be home

Honestly, while I have no idea if this rumor has merit, identifying Houston as a landing spot isn’t crazy at all:1). Nico Collins is on the last year of his rookie deal in 2024. He’s going to want 1a WR money. Is that the WR you want to pair with Stroud and pay 1a money to? I would be questioning that.
2) Tank Dell is a 5’8” 165-pound slot receiver on a rookie contract coming off a major injury. It’s irrelevant to whether you want to bring in an expensive WR1 to pair with Stroud.
3) Metchie is one year removed from leukemia with two years left on a rookie deal. He caught 16 balls this year for 160 yards. I mean, WR4 perhaps?
4) Robert Woods will be 32 next year coming off a 40-catch season with one year left on his contract. He’s maybe a JAG, at best, at this point in his career.
5) If I’m Houston, I’m trying to find my Jamar Chase, Tyreek Hill, Ceedee Lamb, or dare I say, Steph Diggs to pair with my franchise QB. A Ferrari at WR1 that I’m willing to pay. Tee Higgins fits the bill but he is probably going to get franchised, and then you have to outbid other suitors after 2024. You can go the draft, but you have to hit the pick correctly.
I don’t view that WR room as loaded at all and Diggs makes a lot of sense there, particularly if the WR1 is not in the building. Niko Collins may not be the guy you want to pay top 10 WR money to after next season.
They have the room because Collins and Stroud are on rookie contracts.
I mean, it’s not a crazy rumor at all from Houston’s side.
If you are Beane/Bills, you make the deal because you think Houston believes Diggs is still a top 10 WR while you are convinced he’s on the decline with a massive contract.
Seems like a reasonable rumor to me.
At least then he would be in close proximity to his annoying ass brother

Google "Mandolin Rain"
Great song.
Triggered by PTSD, I must leave this thread alone for now LOL
But thank you all for sharing stories. I doubt I'll every have enough $ to attend one but who knows.

Before the season, I thought of Cook as a third-down back who would be a good safety valve out of the backfield.
He's a better runner than I thought. Good vision and burst. Effective up the middle which I doubted.
But he's a worse receiver than I thought. The drops were killer.
That's the reason I think he needs more targets, to help get him into a rhythm. Plus he's FANTASTIC after the catch.

Needs 3-5 catches a game.

You really think Worthy is a late Day 3/UDFA? From the one I have seen, most have Worthy as anywhere from mid 1st round to 2nd round?
Yeah that is definitely going to be where he goes that dude’s not getting out of the second round.

RE: safety
I can see Kyle Duggar being signed by Buffalo.
I know they were enamored with him before.

I think explosiveness is absolutely the #1 trait the Bills need. Way, way, way more important than size. Sure, hands is #2. But they need a guy who is explosive.
That screams Worthy to me. And Thomas/Franklin.

Trash.

Unless there’s a crazy run on receivers and we have to jump into the early 20s I honestly think the bills can sit tight and get their future wide receiver number one.

Best WR in franchise history and the fan base wants to chase him out of town just like Jason Peters.
Same people wanted to get rid of Josh Allen and bench Kelly for Reich.
The inability of people to recognize greatness when it is right in front of them astonishes me.
Do you have any idea what that would do to the cap and this team for 2024?
One move would destroy a season.
Diggs is CLINGING to that greatness. Just barely.
He's shady with these responses. Imagine you’re in a relationship and your wife says “yeah, I don’t know who’s hitting it next year, we’ll see” lol. Just not the right look for me Im sorry. Id love to move on from him but its not realistic.- 1

I just watched the right place wrong time documentary that was posted on this forum.
13 seconds will always go down as the most ridiculous and horrible loss this team has ever experienced. I can barely watch the footage without getting all upset over again. And I live through all four Super Bowls and everything else.

Our WR needs are a largish Mike Evans/MVS type with 4.4 speed & great ball skills in close quarters, and a John Brown type who makes defenses respect Josh's arm. Still wondering if Isabella, who has elite [4.31] speed, can ever become that John Brown/Don Beebe guy.
Hamler could too. Kid can fllllllllly. Injuries have derailed his career but he's very young still.

My family decided to present my birthday cake to me at halftime that year. I proceeded to cry all ***** over it. Damn you Buffalo L O L.
Easily the most embarrassing loss.

Watching Legettes tape I don’t see a 4.3 guy, more like 4.5. In an ideal world we get size speed and separation, and that is Brian Thomas. Troy Franklin would be a nice fit as well.

We needed to make one more play, and we didn’t. I felt WAY worse after 13 seconds. We were understaffed on D and still were THIS close. I feel great about the future honestly
