Do we really have to do this every time a former player does something a tiny bit good? Yeah Miss is so good that he’s the backup in Indy and Singletary has had 1 good game after averaging like 3 ypc the first 10 games. While we are at it, let’s bring up Hodgins, or should we not because it doesn’t fit the narrative any more since he’s doing nothing this year?

Is it really absurd to compare their performance from their time here? It really highlights how bad our run scheme is.

Your take on Moss is ridiculous. He has a 4.6 yard avg and 5 TDs as their starter. Also 123 yards receiving with 1 TD. The only reason he's the backup now is cause JT is on that team and back. In comparison, Moss looked like dog ***** on the Bills.

You’re basing this off what? 1 and a half games? Singletary’s done next to nothing all year before last week.

I may be wrong, but isn't a lot of his lack of production up until now because he has been the #2 behind pierce? Now that pierce is hurt and he is the #1, he's playing well.

And Moss was tearing ***** up until Taylor came back.

Chiefs are literally going to cruise to another Lombardi and be first team to repeat since 03/04 Patriots.

I mean seriously who is going to beat them in the AFC? I think they're going to blow out the Eagles too on MNF coming out of their bye to send a loud message to the rest of the league.

The Chiefs are not going to blow out Philly.

Holy crap! I did not see that coming. I think it was the injury he had against us that was still lingering and got worse.

I could of swore I remembered seeing him shaking his hand or rubbing it after a play during the bills game. Anyone know the time-stamp on the game? I got a buddy that's a Bengals fan and he doesn't believe me.

His blunders typically aren't in the regular season tho.  The Bills routinely won these type of games in the previous 5 years.

Who cares when they happen. He has not shown the ability to learn from his own mistakes. How in the hell hasn't he fixed this after his biggest failure... 13 seconds.

Who's going to bench McDermott for his fumbles?

I think most of what has gone wrong this year stems from McD taking on double duty as DC and HC.  This kinda stuff was not the norm under him. In fact, this is kinda like the anti-McD.  Think it's obvious some things are being overlooked and slipping thru the cracks in terms of preparation, attention to details and just general oversight that he can't have anymore because of him being heavily invested in creating defensive gameplans and calling plays.

Personally, I think McD needs to pick someone to hand off DC duties to and go back to just being a HC full time.  Clearly this is not working out the way we had hoped, and it's no coincidence this sloppiness that has pervaded this team throughout the year started the first year McD attempted to pull double duty.

Even most HC's that run one side of the ball still have coordinator's that do most of the heavy lifting on that side of the ball during the week.

He's consistently failed in big moments. Not sure how you think his blunders this year are any different.

  7. McDermott is absolute trash with quick decisions and time on the line. He consistently doesn't have his coaches or team ready.

    13 seconds...

Last week before half missing the hail Mary attempt...

Not having ST ready to be on the field correctly quickly... Even after the same thing happened right before half. HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE THEM PREPARED?!? Especially after all those defensive time outs before the kick.

    McDermott crumbles in big moments

It's time for a billboard: Thanks for everything you've done for this team and city, but it's time to go

I’m not referring to a box score. Not all games play out the same, perhaps you play too much Madden?

My reference to the box score is that the score made that game look much closer than it actually was. But maybe that concept is too much for you. I mean, you are trying to argue that the Bills didn't look like a complete mess in that game. I see you didn't even attempt to refute my point on comparing the first halves of both the games. So I'll leave my point there and you can continue to argue points with ad hominem.

During the Germany game today they ran commercial promos for the MNF game this week, and it said Denver at the disappointing Buffalo Bills.  Have you ever heard the word “disappointing” used in a promo for one of the teams? me neither. Weird.

True... But are they wrong? The season has been a major disappointment to this point.

So many have it wrong in this thread...you guys realize that McD is giving you DORSEY's answer to why they didn't run the uptempo right?

All this anger at McD over the answer is totally misguided.  Now if you want to be mad at McD for not yet firing Dorsey, then that is fair game.  But this answer everyone is so upset about is the answer Dorsey gave McD after they met and reviewed the game.

    FIRE DORSEY

What leads you to believe this? Why would the OC who scripted an up tempo start with the QB, suddenly decide to not keep what worked so well?

That's a defensive mindset that wanted to try and slow the game down cause he didn't want to end up in a shootout.

McDermott was the one who failed at the end of the half sending out the punt unit with like 15 seconds left, instead of a hail Mary. The moment was too big for him and he didn't have a time out to slow things down so he could think about what to do.

Which is the second blunder he has made with less than 20 seconds on the clock. He never even should of sent the punting unit out there.

The grounding call was terrible. But it's a hell of a lot worse when that is the best you can do on a 3rd and 6 call when points are in range... How can Gabe and Josh not be on the same page there? And how can we be settling for a SUPER low conversion percentage play like that anyway on 3rd down? How is that even possible?

I've so had it with this team having massive lapses in concentration. There is no way a team with this much talent should ever have to settle for what we just witnessed. And that is squarely on McDermott. I've been one of the holdouts on him... But that was an embarrassing coaching effort and it seems as if he cannot get these guys up consistently anymore. The Bengals are not THIS good. If they were they would be up by 28 now...

It never should of been 3rd and 6. The tripping should of given us 15 and a 1st
