If we win Sunday, Brady stays.

if we win, Bills advance, Brady stays, Diggs has his best game in weeks

if we lose, Bills miss playoffs, Brady is gone, Diggs has his annual year end sideline meltdown

    book it

  2. Considering the Bills have always been effective on offense against Miami no matter the year or coordinator, and considering Miami does not have Jaelen Phillips or Bradley Chubb, I would probably agree with this. If the Bills offense is sputtering against Miami, and especially if we end up losing, I can’t imagine Brady is back next season as OC.

I personally think our offense will come to play though.  The thing is too, a lot of this falls on Josh Allen and his receivers.  There is a combination of bad drops by receivers  and bad misses by Allen lately, and that can’t happen on Sunday night.  Especially in a game where we may HAVE to get off to a fast start like the last time we faced Miami.

that is where I am mostly concerned. This offense is back to getting off to slow starts which cannot happen this week.

  3. Most position groups are injured by this point in the season. The fact we have had zero injuries on the OL all season is incredible and it’s an automatic bonus when going up DLines every week that are no longer the same group that started the season.

not trying to take anything away here, but if every team in the NFL still had their starters at OL, we probably aren’t 4th best in any OL ranking.  Some teams have been shuffling their OL every week all season it seems.

We probably won’t be this fortunate in the injury department next season (on offense) so I hope we can take advantage!

  5. I used to think the 2021 Bills was our best shot at a Super bowl.

I'm beginning to believe the 2023 Bills might be just as much, if not more-so of a better chance at the Super Bowl (also in part due to the current state of the AFC).

And the funny thing is, with all of that, it's no guarantee that we even make it into the playoffs.

    Crazy.

It is going to be way too much of a disappointment if we do not get in at this point.  I don't think I'll be able to handle the "what ifs".

Put it this way, we just outplayed 3 straight teams that will be in the playoffs already, and we are fighting to get in.

But yes, to your point OP, I do appreciate Allen.  And I remind myself of that frequently as a fan that was there for every game & every year of the 17-year drought.

My daughter was born in 2017 and we broke out drought

My son was born in 2019 and we became a consistent playoff caliber team

My son was born this past Friday. Time to make a Super Bowl run

    Trust the process

my son was born in 2017 as well

    1/11/17 to be exact

aka same day we hired McDermott

which is part of the reason I selfishly did not want him fired

The one who tried to go for a pick on 4th and 20 instead of knocking the ball down? I’m not particularly fond of stupid and selfish players

To be fair, he was really hard on himself about that decision during the post-game interview, knew he screwed up and owned it, so hopefully he won't make the same mistake twice.  Then again, when it comes to making the same mistakes over and over, all I can think of is the Buffalo Bills defending Hail Marys.  So... hopefully we aren't in a situation where we have to find out if he learned from that mistake or not.  That's where I'm at.

That's always concerning.  Vegas doesn't like to lose.

Either way, we need Diggs to step up in this game.  He's averaged only 4 catches for 40 yards with only one TD over the past four games, and a 49% Catch%.

It's a slump he needs to shake this week.

There were several consecutive years in which New England was notorious for covering the spread.  It was like they could never be favored by enough, and bettors were putting big money on them every single week because of their ridiculous record ATS.  I would imagine Vegas lost a lot overall on those bets, fwiw.

Man, you just can't let these games get to you so much that you overindulge, if that's what happened. Or maybe he took it the Thelma and Louise level. Just not worth it. Too young. feel bad for the family.

I feel like if the Bills ever won a Super Bowl, I wouldn't let any tough loss get to me as much as I would right now.

My first thought when reading "he took the loss hard" was dude... you JUST won the Super Bowl LAST SEASON!!! Come on.

    Maybe that's just me.

He's earned at least $50M already, and will likely bring in another $50M even if he is fired.

We're all a bunch of internet-nobodies commenting on this (here, social media, etc) and nothing we say really matters in the grand scheme of things.

Don't feel too bad for him. He'll be fine.

I'd let all of you say these mean things about me for way less money. It happens for free today!

You’re right. In fact, this article makes me feel bad … for myself, and the rest of us “internet nobodies” in here that root for this franchise and we are mostly all back on the “we can beat KC!!!” Bandwagon only to have this come out right before the game.  Another distraction, for a team that is mentally weak, before the most important game of the year. Thanks a lot, Tyler Dunne. Jerk.

When you lose to the Pats, Jets, Bronco's, (Should have lost to Giants at home). Bills deserve nothing. If they win out, then they will have deserved respect.. If they lose to the beatable Chiefs, just a disgraceful season.

True. But does anyone else in the AFC really deserve anything this year either? Maybe the Ravens. But that’s all I’ve got.

If we beat the Chiefs we’re winning out.

    This I am convinced of.

Do I think we will?  I have no feel right now at all.  Except the Chiefs just got embarrassed and haven’t lost 3 home games since pre Andy Reid.  So not great.

    Feel good about the Offense.

It would be very McD for the Chiefs O to wake up this week.

    And imo grounds for firing.

You saw the results from offensive head coaches tonight.  But hey, no pressure in 2024 Sean.

I believe that we are very capable of beating KC.

    my problem is…

If the Bills win, that would entail closing out a close game, against one of the most clutch players in the game.

Based on this season alone, should I have any faith in our ability to do that?

I want to , but I am so sick of being let down too

  13. Wonder if there is any shot Miami resting starters by week 18.

McDermott will go into KC and clap his team to victory.

It wasn’t easy, and I had to keep reminding myself throughout the game, but I was actually rooting for KC today merely because I did not want to see them coming off a loss.

And oddly enough, they lose the game and it felt oh so Bills-esque… but coming from the Chiefs!?!?

So now I am starting to believe that it isn’t the Bills, these years of misfortune, maybe it’s just me!  After all, the first NFL game I have ever watched was …….. Wide Right

Sorry guys, I’d stop if I could.
