Can't fault Corner for that. CB's instinct should be to go for the pick
Agreed. If you catch it, the other team can't catch it.
-
Mark Sanchez's exposure as a California boy who doesn't like cold weather is combining with stupid play by the Jets' DBs and marginally competent playcalling to save Dick's job.
-
Was that . . . a slant?
-
Sanchez looks like he has Qualifornia Quarterback disease. As a Bills fan, I'm an expert, and can diagnose it authoritatively.
Fitz just sucks.
-
Chuck Lester is clearly the only man for the awesome job of interim HC.
-
Bobby April's bid for interim status just took a hit.
-
Dick should challenge.
-
That's the Hahvard intellect, doncha know.
-
Titans are down 31-0 in the second. Great 4 o'clock games on today.
So the Titans take Suh with the #1 pick, giving us our choice of the QBs. Here's hoping we have a real GM to make the pick.
-
I wouldn't have been at all surprised if Dick had challenged the TD call there. "Well, I thought he was down on the one-inch line."
-
The only good thing about the near-universal consensus that Fitz sucks is that we're spared yet another Flutie-Johnson / JP-Trent debate.
-
Moorman and Wendling. They work almost as well as a keyed-in QB-WR tandem.
-
You think that with his legs pinned, arched backwards and 500lbs worth of NFL defender driving him down, he somehow managed to stop his momentum, hold both guys up and keep his head off the ground.
What is this, the Matrix?
As someone else said, lotta tough guys here. Tough guys with no grounding in physics.
-
I still want a younger guy who runs up and down the sidelines and gets pissed, yells, and grabs his players facemasks when they screw up and does big fist pumps when something good happens.
And if he spits when he yells so much the better, right?

goo goo ga-joob
Shut the f--- up, Donny! Mike Holmgren! Michael George Holmgren!
-
Just getting home -- he didn't really say that, did he? If so, he's lying through his teeth:
Brandon told GR that he "knew nothing" about the allegedly scheduled ceremony.
-
You have to have a log in to view now. Plenty of old posts this week regarding this.
Ah, shame on me. I didn't get the memo from Russ. Sorry for the wasted thread.
-
Tough day for Russ. Fresh from denying that there was ever a halftime ceremony scheduled for Ralph ("the Yankee imperialists have not 'taken Basra' -- they are being overrun by the valiant Republican Guard as we speak!"), and busy dodging questions about the future of his head coach ("his excellency the president is not 'on the run' -- he's . . . vacationing in Tikrit), his outfit has shut down the official buffalobills.com message boards.
This is not a healthy franchise.
-
From an overal history and the value of Ralph to the AFL and NFL he deserved to be in the HOF. When it has come to his team, Ralph has a history of not knowing ass from elbow.
Ralph was there at the formation of the AFL, but he wasn't as critical as, say, Lamar Hunt. And yeah, he did help keep the Raiders afloat early on, but are we really grateful for that?
When he finally made it into the HoF, I was reminded of the part in Animal House where Hoover defends the Delta house on the grounds that it "has a long history of existence."

Firing Jauron should be the start of an avalanche of dismissals that should include at least four other people. Jauron, Brandon, Modrak, Guy and Allaire should all be gone. I'm willing to give Fewell another chance because his defense is absolutely decimated by injuries. I think they pulled someone from the stands to play MLB after Buggs went down.
If you don't clean house you're just putting a band aid on a massive head wound. Jauron is responsible for getting the team ready to play and he's failing miserably. The other stooges are responsible for making sure we have actual NFL level talent on this team.
Anything other than a complete house cleaning is just prolonging the pain.
99% in agreement. I've been saying for two years that this team will continue to go nowhere until a real GM with real authority and accountability is hired in the place of the hydra-headed "braintrust." That said, i would retain Brandon in a non-football capacity. The guy could sell turds to the sewer authority.
-
1) Brandon wouldn't comment on Jauron's job security after the game, saying simply that today "was a low point."
2) The Bills cut the RW HoF ceremony at what appears to have been the last minute.
3) Carucci called the situation a "volcano" about to erupt.
4) No direct statement from RW yet.
Based on all this, it appears there's at least a chance that Jauron might get canned in the very near future. The Hall of Fame thing and Carucci's speculation aren't that big of a deal, but the fact that Brandon refused to give Jauron the standard vote of confidence is a new development.

Thanks in advance, Ralph!

Exactly where do you figure the Bills may move to?
Toronto, San Antonio, Vancouver, LA . . . I could make arguments why each of those is problematic, but you're nuts if you don't think it's a real possibility. The Bills have the lowest ticket prices in the NFL, no obvious local buyer, and -- most importantly -- there's a general perception out there, including with Goodell et al, that the team is on the way out. Not saying it's gonna happen, but it's a serious fear.

I thikn what we all want, but are too nice to ask for because it means death, is a new owner. 50 years of failure is more than we can take. And save you're "what about the early 90s" argument. We had a great talent evaluator and the owner wouldn'y let him run the show despite his success. And statistically speaking, a few good years does nor outweigh the 40+ years of mediocrity.
And I'll be the first season ticket holder to say it: sell the team Ralph, even if it means it gets moved. Lets move on as a community. No more false hope the tram will be good and no more dreaming you'll do what it takes to ensure its place in WNY. Sell it and let the drama unfold. Let's get it over with. As an Erie County taxpayer, I'd rather see my tax dollars spent on something positive, instead of lining your daughter's pocket.
Damn skippy. Sell the team now, and we'll find out whether they leave or they stay. Either way, we can move forward -- possibly as fans of Cleveland or Pittsburgh or where ever our loyalties take us, but hopefully with a new, inspired, and decidedly Buffalo Bills.

Edwards or Fitz, one thing is consistent on a Dick-coached team: stellar clock and time out management.
