This is actually a really good move, low risk has to be cheap as hell at this point, but clearly has a hell of a lot of talent. This team has the exact kind of culture built around it that if he really is ready to make a change it's a great place to do it.

The 3 teams in the past 4 years were probably thinking the same

Still Tua throwing the ball, so not worried in the least.

At least this will give the talking heads the ammo needed to over-hype the Dolphins, YET AGAIN!

You are not worried about Tua throwing the ball ? He had more passing yards then our Franchise QB

    When, in September?

    Is Tua still their QB?

Explain to me how they are better than last year, when they lost to every good team they played and had 0 chance of winning a Superbowl....

I expect this from Stephen A Smith but a bills fan being worried about the Dolphins in the year 2024 is kind of mind boggling.

Miami also got TWO WR’s in this years draft and now OBJ I guess they need more help at the WR position then we did !?!

This is where I've come to on Coleman as well.

After my initial disappointment and teeth gnashing subsided and I allowed myself to become excited about what he seems to do WELL rather than what he DOESN'T do well, I've slowly accepted that he has the upside and skillset to potentially become a very good NFL receiver.....eventually.

The issue, as you point out, is that they need him NOW, and Beane said as much recently.

Where I think Coleman would have the best chance to succeed is if he had been added to a WR depth chart that didn't need him to produce right away. That could use him situationally and scheme him up and bring him along slowly.

I also think his best chance at success is to be a move player, a big slot, and to line up off the line of scrimmage more often than not.

Instead, he will seemingly have neither of those two luxuries. He joined a team that's gonna depend on him right away, and he joined a team that seems dead set on using him as a traditional X receiver. My worry about Coleman has thus shifted. I'm not as worried about him purely as a prospect -- clearly he's talented. Instead, I'm worried that his early workload and the way the Bills seem to want to use him will not be setting him up for success.

I really, REALLY hope they add a WR of significance after June 1st, be it via trade or free agency. Even someone who is only serviceable (like the current version of Odell Beckham) would take some pressure off of Coleman and would be able to provide some on-field mentorship.

As things stand now, I feel like there is a clear path to success for Keon Coleman, and that the Bills do not currently seem to be headed down that path.

I have to disagree about pressure on a 20 year old rookie to produce right away  , I think Kincaid , Samuel and Shakir will see more targets then Colman at least trough the first half of the season ,

I will always go on record as saying it was imperative to double dip in last week's wr rich draft. We won't see that deep of a wr draft for awhile. And all of this is amplified by losing Diggs/Davis.  We had realistic bites at the apple with Thomas, Mitchell, Leggette,  McConkey,  Franklin & Walker.  I'll give Keon the benefit of the doubt and completely ignore his 40.  I've been told by half this board that 40 times are irrelevant. But we still needed that 2nd rookie wr. If for no other reason as insurance if Hollins, Hamler, Shorter, Shavers, Cephus flame out. We all saw how useless Sherfield and Harty were last season.

Did you also go on record saying that we got the wrong Josh  Because I remember a lot of people on here going on record ,

    Largely agree.

    1. 10-7 is my expectation as well. Likely a WC, but should compete for AFCE title.

    2. Miller is gone next offseason for sure. He will be cut with a post 6/1 designation. Knox has partial guarantees for his salary in 2025 so I think he stays, but that’s probably it for him.

    3. Draft and/or FA has to bring help to the team DE1 is job 1. WR is a huge need as well.

    4. Allen’s contract rework this offseason was to get him to next season. He’s going to get an extension and a raise next offseason.

#1WR is a HUGE need next year ? Maybe we should give  Colman a chance to put  on his Jersey before making that decision ?

I doubt very many people who post on the board, feel as though they know better who the best offensive players to pick are, better than Brandon Beane.
I doubt very many people who post on the board, feel as though they know better who the best offensive players to pick are, better than Andy Reid/Chiefs.

I think a lot of people suspect the Chiefs know how do do things better than the Bills (based on Super Bowls won recently).   I think some of these people are concerned that the Chiefs with Worthy will have better results that the Bills with Coleman.  If they stopped to think about it, I suppose that if the Chiefs picked Coleman and the Bills picked Worthy, they would have the exact same concerns.

As fan who thinks there is a .000001 percent chance the NFL is scripted, I am sad going into the season afraid that the Bills are going to lose in the scripted playoffs on a Mahomes to Worthy pass.  Mocking the Bills is a pretty joyful thing for a lot of NFL fans (sometimes even Bills fans, because if you don't laugh you have to cry)

No….our roster WAS good enough. We just didn’t make the plays and/or our coaches didn’t do a good enough job.

let’s not mention our starting LB that was covering Kelce on both Tds was unemployed on thanksgiving day.  Our top 4 LBs all impacted by Injury, von fell off a cliff, Tre injured, Benford injured, Douglas injured, gabe injured, Diggs, the worst ever version of himself, Rapp injured.

Agree 100% if we come into that game healthy I believe we keep KC from scoring over 20 points and probably win that game

I think it's a lot tougher of a call to make, if he sees potential in the depth WRs we still have it's awfully hard to make a pick for WR you're worried won't even make the roster and get picked up somewhere else. Especially when you have other needs that need addressed and are in position to pick players that could have an immediate impact at those areas.

    That’s a great point

All I can see is 4.61 40 time and the Devin Singletary of wide receivers. No breakaways. No outrunning anybody. Running to contact to avoid being exposed.

There are many ways besides pure speed to get separation in the NFL

He has a very clear path, like a number of Beane’s picks this year. . Backup slot corner, punt returner, other special team assignments.

This is who we need on our ST’s rookies and young players who could develop into starters or a solid depth players , and stop paying $5mil a year to players like Matackevich who are ST only

Dang man, I'm watching Ray's highlights. His hips are so sudden, then fluid. He plays fast, is hard to tackle and has great hands! I think he us going to be great in our offense. We have a fast stepping little tank of a RB!!

Just wanted to add that he’s also a very good blocker

How about I blame the GM/coach. That is the only in the league to not draft a wr in the 1st 3 rounds in 5 years?  They will go down in history and discussed decades later as "Mcdefense" and a failure for having the most talented qb buffalo has ever had and never even sniffed a SB

Giving up a 1st round pick for Diggs doesn’t count ?  Or drafting Kincaid in the 1st rd last year and Colman this year?  That’s 3 1st round picks

The problem people have is there was no 2nd WR early. The fans on this board wanted to drive the brand new Ferrari off the lot even if it might be defective  but instead got the Honda CRV that isn’t exciting but will get the job done a lot longer

Honda CRV are like fat chicks they’re fun to ride until your friends see you
