  1. Ok so this has me thinking, for WRs to be the new RBs, there must be a significant drop in invested cap $$ and draft assets.

So, where would those assets go? They would have to go to a logical spot that would make investments into RB and WR less important.

    That screams O-Line to me.

If what you project is true, then the draft and cap $$ would start trending towards the O line. With the recent O-Line contracts lately I would call this plausible.

  2. I like how we get two “bad” schedule features out of the way early and in the least negatively impactful way for the Bills as you can expect.

We get the Fish away game at night avoiding literal heat stroke, and we get the TNF short week both on the exact same footing as our opponent (same amount of rest), and at the beginning of the year when our guys are still fresh and able to absorb the loss of rest.

    I don’t hate this.

it’s what’s happens when you turn down that corrupt govt money. They take it personally.

  4. I want a guy who can fight through the “sticky” playoff coverage.

We’ve tried the little nimble guys and precision route separators. Seem to disappear every year.

That’s why I’m on Legette. I want to see us try something different.

  5. I picked no, because I really like Legette who can be had staying put. Staying pat allows us to use a fraction of this ammo to move up to double dip and grab a 2nd great WR in this incredible class without investing 2 draft classes (essentially).

That said, if they did this, I wouldn’t be mad.

  6. Does Daboll see any value in Knox? I don’t think the Giants have a reliable TE (Waller hasn’t seemed to make an impact there).

If he did, adding him to the trade could make it a more appealing trade, pick-cost wise.

But that would help us too much lol

  7. Maybe this is the “put your money where your mouth is” year for Buffalo.

In my day dreams, I see Allen’s contract also announcing a restructuring to save Cap, as they all realize, the ring is more important than the bling!!

It's bad enough the media likes to make something out of nothing every year. Do we really need to do it every year too?

It's nothing. Same as last year. His contract isn't really tradable. Especially with how he played at the end of last year. Why would a team take that on if there's any concern he's falling off?

As for what he said, I read it as nothing. I just took it as him looking at how things ended last season and the team being a mess roster wise and not taking for granted that he's safe. Reports are he's not unhappy or looking to move:

Awwwww but I already went and got my pitchfork 🙁

I would seriously consider filing after the season is over, just to embarrass him and give him the reputation he deserves.

I'd imagine Josh Allen is probably too proud to be the kid that goes tattling to the teacher though.

Yeah no one wants to see that off-season crawler “Josh Allen files Sexual Assault charges against MIA DT”

I’m sure that would explode the Talking Heads thread in no time.

Very likely the reason he’s never been called on it.

  10. I mean, that’s actually illegal in a law kind of way right? Outside of NFL jurisdiction. Couldn’t Allen legally file a police report?

Not saying he ever would/should but just because it’s on a football field, doesn’t make it NOT sexual assault right??

Like, if during a scrum, a female line judge gets felt up and it keeps happening by the same guy over and over, it wouldn’t be tolerated…right?

It’s just so odd because this guy has been doing it for years and at multiple levels of competition. A repeat offender.

We’ve beaten teams with good defensive lines all year

    were simply better than Dallas

The Patriots is a divisional game is divisional games are usually tight because they know each other really well

The chargers game was weird. The team was probably jetlagged, and we were facing new coaches with new tendencies.

Agreed on the Chargers game. I had that pegged as a huge trap game. New coaches, players embarrassed the week prior, coast to coast travel. Seeing how our peers faired that weekend, I was VERY happy with the results.

I just find, that in general, we’re geared to beat the small fast D (new gen type) and generally have a harder time with the ball control heavy (old gen type) Ds.

Not saying we cannot be successful against the old school D (record proves it) but it seems to mess with our rhythm and timing.

  12. Not excusing anyone or anything, but the configuration/composition of Dallas and NE couldn’t be more different.

Dal is all speed and pressure, using light guys to fly around the field and make plays. Focus is trying to get to a game situation where the D can pin their ears back and fly to the QB.

NE basically has two fire hydrants (Joe Marino term) at DT, meaning they won’t chase anyone down, but they also are difficult to move, and very heavy (for this era) LBs that clog the middle. Their objective is to keep it close at the end of the game and beat you by wearing you down. They win by still having gas in the tank at the end.

IMO we match up very well against Dal/MIA type Ds and match up not very well against NE/Jets types.
