The one with where he is running up field on the outside and Allen doesn't even come close to the target. It's behind the receiver and flat. It wasn't even a hard play and it makes no sense to throw like that when the DB has inside coverage.

I'm referring to the pick where Davis and the defender were in each other's pocket and the ball was right there but picked off

That throw was yards behind him and directly to the defender. It looked like he forgot which team he was throwing to, I'm not sure what you want him to do there. There is a theme on this board to come up with excuses for Allen's turnovers that has existed since day 1. He is stupid with the ball in both carrying and throwing it, that's just something they are going to have to scheme around.

    What game were you watching?

The very next play was the deep shot ball to Gabe that was picked. So cant say that Josh doesnt want to throw to Davis specifically.

I just think it's very clear that at this point of the game (down 14-7 in the 2nd qtr), Josh made up his mind that the game was almost over and the team needed a HUGE gain and some hero ball. Couldnt possibly stand moving the ball down the field, and moving the chains, in boring 6-8 yard chunks. BLECH!

We got Hero Ball, and then Hero Ball-turned-INT on this possession. And that was that.

IMO, that is 60% on Josh, and 40% on Dorsey for giving him those plays and schemes that push him to throw the deep ball.

And once again,  Davis makes no attempt to Breakup or fight for the ball.

In almost every game you see at least 1 throw by a QB that is so far out of bounds that the WR has no chance at it, and no call.

BUT this was in-bounds and perfectly thrown up the sideline. Had #13 kept running it would have been a perfectly thrown pass.

    This WAS NOT intentional grounding!

That should probably also be accompanied with what percentage of the offense he's expected to provide.

For example, last night he provided 293 out of 317 total yards, or over 92% of the teams yards.  Our RBs contributed 24 yards on 8 carries.  That's the help and support he's got.  It's pretty close to unimagineable that any QB has provided their team more during that same time period.

I'm not sure that most QBs would do as well in that situation that he's been in for years now under "The Process."

It would be nice to see how he plays with proper coaching.

That's the play calling prowess of our OC ( AND HC).

I know it will be all doom and gloom and fire everybody mood here right now but I don’t share it.

To me the team was prepared today, we fought a tough battle vs very good team on the road. We were not dominated. We had another key injury in Bernard early + Hyde late, Josh made one big mistake (INT), they had one great defensive play (Kincaid fumble).

I actually liked our offense. Shakir and Kincaid showed progress again. We need to incorporate new players into defense and finally stop having bad luck with key injuries. And once the playoff comes, Von Miller makes that key stop on 3rd down with 2 mins to go.

I think we just hit rock bottom record wise. Now every game is just a fight for a playoffs spot, and if we get there, which I have no doubt about, we will be battle tested and in form.

    I believe in this team.

So what you're saying is that we earned our participation trophy?
