Wentz is the better QB no question.

Better in terms of overall talent and draft positioning but not a better passer of the football. A better thrower with a bigger arm yes, but Foles has better ball placement and throws a catchable ball. Wentz is living on the idea of his talent. He's a good player like Flacco and maybe as good as Matt Ryan but he's probably the most overrated QB in the entire league.

Foles is similar to Flacco...average for long stretches and then seems to get "hot" when the stakes are the highest.  Foles is maddeningly inconsistent and looks downright bad too often.

I see Wentz as more a Flacco type. He's big and strong and locks in on one or two receivers. He doesn't make quick reads but he does get the ball out. He's a good player but he's drastically overrated as a player.

If you throw out his rookie season.  Wentz has an average QB rating over 100 for the past two seasons.   Those are elite stats.

Foles had one excellent season in 2013.   Rest of the time he has been pretty pedestrian.   In these past playoffs , despite some folks thinking that Foles had a magical run,   his QB rating was 77 and 61 respectively.   He didn't play  well at all with the exception of that 1st quarter at NO.     So not sure how Foles is the better player and the better long term choice?

I agree Wentz is a better stats player.

Lots of guys come into the league with all the talent in the world.  The difference is what happens between the ears.  Foles has proven he can do it.  I'm not sure Wentz has.  I think this is a way bigger risk than people are acknowledging.

Plus, what are you really looking for when searching for a QB?  You are looking for a guy that can you to and win a SB.  Nick Foles has done that.

I agree. People are so into Wentz's arm but isn't having a ball that catchable more important? Foles throws an easy ball to catch and he throws it to everyone on the field. Wentz locks in on the TE and his #1 receiver too often.

  5. It's a bad move. Foles sees the field better. Has a quicker release and throws a catchable ball. Wentz has a better are and more talent but he's not a better player IMO.

You really think the Eagles will pick up his 20mill option just for the chance of a trade? Eagles won't get Squat for Foles. He is as good as a free agent at this point.

I hope not. I could see some Bills franchise ending crap end up like Brady wins SB #6 and retires and Belichick signs Foles who plays the same style as Brady, though not as good but goes on to win the division for 10 more years.

DaMarkus Lodge is a very interesting name. Being overshadowed by his teammates(Metcalf, AJ Brown) but he's a really good polished WR. He'll probably never develop into a #1 but like Foster and Jones he has a chance to be a good #2, #3, #4 WR.

I've only seen Lodge about 2 or 3 games and the thing that stands out is he never catches the ball with his body. It'll be interesting to see how he times because there are probably more receivers worthy of a 2nd or 3rd round pick then there are worthy of 1st round picks.

    Here's my mock

Bills trade 9th pick to Texans for 23rd, 54, 55th picks

    1. Hakeem Butler-WR Iowa State 6'5 215
    2. Damien Harris-RB Alabama 5'10 214
    2. Garrett Bradbury-C North Carolina State 6'3 305
    2. Julian Love-CB Notre Dame 5'11 193
    3. Tytus Howard-T Alabama State 6'6 311
    4. Donald Parham-TE Stetson 6'7 255

Bradbury has risen that far? I thought he'd be a sleeper 3rd or 4th rounder?

  8. I hope it's closer to this...

    1. Jeffery Simmons, DT, Miss. State

    2. Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida

    3. Riley Ridley, WR, Georgia

    4. Ben Bredeson, OG, Michigan

    4. Garrett Bradbury, C, NC State

    5. J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, WR, Stanford

yes because of course other positions dont need time to adjust to the NFL......

Tyron Smith was NFL ready right out of the box......and Jonah Williams has a LOT of his traits

He has played those positions in his college career....similar to Dawkins

I would be for Jonah Williams but he is in no way close to Tyron Smith. I do see one of two things happening, 1. He is ranked close to Ronnie Stanley and goes before we pick or two he's seen like Jonathan Conklin and falls to or past us. Then some say he's only a RT or a G. I'd still take him at 9 if he's only a RT. Depends on who's available. Defensive players might be once in a lifetime types.

His acumen and feel for the game would certainly be great for our young guys, but Green and it's not his fault, just tends to get hurt at the wrong time.  I'd rather use the 2nd round pick on a young player.  I'm not completely against Green, I'd just rather use it on a young player.

I tend to agree with you, but in their position the Bills have to spend to the Cap floor. I think he'd be the best WR we could get, draft or otherwise. I'd rather have Green's contract then some player who gets the money finally and thinks he can rest.

BTW I don't think you could get Green for a 2nd.

No and there are two reasons, 1.  I don't like the age.  If we are trying to get younger then do that.  2.  Availability.   Green gets hurt just about every year and the Bengals offense falls off the cliff every time.

This is all true but it would be great to have a technician like Green in the room with our young guys.
