The whole game I was thinking "damn they have no idea what they are talking about", and I didn't even catch the part about John Brown playing for the wrong team. Guess I was too distracted being annoying with them gobbling Bell's junk every chance they got.

Winning is so much fun, HUDS! Remember when we weren't winning? That was not much fun.
This is a lot more fun.
?
Hopefully after next week McD will be back to a .500 career record with us, and THEN we can really get back to talking about him being a winning coach.

Just imagine if WE had Bell for our RB!
If he was a Bill the refs would have called the play dead on lack of forward progress, and not counted the second push.

To the whopping tune of 7 yards per reception for Crowder and something like 4.3 yards per attempt for Darnold. I'll give them that all day long.

I like to think that our run D was just that good, in that Bell actually did well to manage 3.5 ypc. Like a lesser RB would have only managed 3.0 ypc. That's how I lived with the annoyance of the CBS crew blowing him all game long.

MAybe that's for a late December game? Although it sounds a little pricey for that...
Yes, the Dec 29 game against the Jets. You can get tickets cheaper from "verified resale" like on Ticketmaster or through the charity promotion Steptide linked.
Weird thing in that supposedly undesirable game could be the hypest game all season if that game is to clinch a playoff spot or something.

Hey, that's really cool. Thanks for sharing. I'll contact my peeps and see if they want to go to any of those games.
Just now, KD in CA said:Soooooo, just like every single "80% OFF SALE!" I've ever seen.
Sort of? Nowadays you will typically see at least SOME form of fine print to say it doesn't apply to the entire store. This email promo was literally JUST a picture of the schedule. Not even a "terms and conditions apply" or something like that.
-
May seem like a petty gripe to some (or most), but I'm pretty big about advertising standards and transparency.
Whoever is running the email marketing sends this promotion boasting "1-0! $25 ticket offer", with the main body just being an image of the home schedule with absolutely no additional information. Seems to imply the offer applies to all games. So I click through to find that the only game it applies to is the final game against the Jets, which is hidden on a second page you have to scroll down to find the button to access. They could have just added those last two games to the first page since you had to scroll down to see the 5th and 6th games anyways. Then of course it only applies to two specific sections, you don't know what row or seats you are getting (likely just the top rows, in the corner), and the obligatory nebulous "fees" are tacked on.
That's like a store advertising an "80% OFF SALE!" flyer with no disclosure of limitations or even fine print, only to find out after you get to the store that the discount only applies to a limited assortment of hair ties tucked away in the corner of a bottom shelf in the kids section. They really should be disclosing details and limitations of the $25 tickets right in the email.
Have any of you ever bought tickets from a promotion like this? What seats did you get?
*edit*
I should add that I checked and this "limited time offer" is selling these tickets at the same price as Ticketmaster. At least with Ticketmaster you can get them cheaper from "verified resale" transactions. I guess that's why there were no conditions or limitations to put in fine print, as it's not a sale or promotion at all. They're just falsely advertising their regular ticket prices as some special email promotion.

Watching live, I got the definite impression he was taking the free play.

Great game for Smoke..........the gameplan was sound, the Jets have probably the worst CB's the Bills will face this year so if you are afraid to challenge them outside then I don't know who you WON'T be.
Cole Beasley though.............he reminds me of that dude from the old Burger King commercial with the tiny hands. His catch radius is no bueno.
I think getting hit in the head with the ball counts as negative catch radius.

I'll be positively floored if he breaks 750 yards and 6 TDs
Only need 4 or 5 more games like today to have you sufficiently floored then.

I think you did fairly well for yourself. Can never complain about 100+ yards and a TD in fantasy. I mean it was no Watkins day, but still.

Kind of seems like it, no? I like Zay - but I think he is going to end up splitting a lot of time with Roberts, Foster, and McKenzie. Maybe even our PS preseason wonder! Lots of receiving weapons.
I guess it also matters if you think a slot receiver can be considered the #2.

Why aren't you counting Zay?
Guess he figures Zay to be WR3?

Really should have given us an A. Easy to forget that offensively we only have TWO starters from last year (Dawkins and Allen, if you don't count Zay). The defense is or can be elite, and the offense will only get better. A gutsy, tough road win against a quality division opponent. Give 'em the A!
Getting shut out with 4 turnovers in the first half disqualifies us from getting an A.

I don't know Bell is known as a patient runner which I don't think helped much with his Oline against the Bills a different style might be more effective.
Or even worse.

And the first time he touched it he dropped it. He looked good overall though. Shady scores on two of the four carries imo.
I think DS just got used to those jukes working on 95% of college players and figured that was more of a sure thing than outrunning the defender to the corner. Rookie debut jitters I guess.

Oops....in my defense, we sure did not look like a rook.
DS sure looked like a rookie on that play where he juked himself out of an easy TD.

Saquon could go crazy and put their offense on his back.
Or he could look like LeVeon Bell.

Murray is going to have to learn to just throw the ball away sometimes. Only a matter of time before he breaks some sort of record for most yards lost to sacks in a game.
-
With a curse that powerful, I think burning the item would only anger the spirit. Best just to put it away where no one will see it, and leave it in peace.

I love all the people going "like omg wtf I saw the ball leave the endzone clear as day a blind man could see that". No. No you didn't. Take the homer glasses off for a second.
I agree that it was a bad call to grant them the safety in the first place, but the ruling to leave the play as called upon review was per the rules correct. It was just one of those plays that would have stood on lack of clear evidence regardless of which was it was initially called. You cannot INFER that ball was out, you have to SEE the actual ball being out.

I wonder of Lamar Jackson is going to get shell shocked next week after such a weak Dolphins defense.

Bad ball placement, the snap is fumbled before the defender is even out of this stance, and he threw the ball right at a defender for the tip. Did he look good in the 4th, yes. He isn't absolved of how bad he looked for 3 quarters and I wish people would stop being so black and white here. Let's see what he looks like against good teams and if he can string some good games together.
Morse snapped the ball into his own leg for the fumble (don't think Allen even got his hand on it), and every QB gets balls batted at the line.

Is it as bad as the game announcers sucking off Bell all game about how amazing he is averaging 3.5 yards per carry?

Tanking, but we only needed a single quarter of halfway competent execution and play calling to beat the Jets.
You mean The Right Josh averaging 4.3 yards per attempt and Best RB Bell getting 3.5 ypc doesn't scream championship?

For a second I thought you were the guy who compained that Duke needs to "get more game time", not realizing he is on the practice squad.
Yeah, the pick six and safety weren't on the Bills D, but what game were you watching where the Jets scored a field goal?
